Hi! Yes balogun is eko. Not too familiar with the market sha. What's the difference between the playpen and wooden crib? I personally prefer the crib but I'm worried cos we don't have much space in the room for it. What are the other options you're exploring?

Part 5...post delivery(last part)

My mum came the nxt day...thank God finally... Lol...we were going to be discharged on Monday but doc said baby had jaundice... On a bilirubin's level of 9. So I was discharged that Monday and baby was admitted on monday, dey commenced photo therapy on her....by Monday my breast was running but it wasnt coming out too much...dey kept checking her sugar level which was OK...I had to buy baby food for her...and d nurses fed her tru syringe...but by Tuesday my breast was flowing very well...I was even leaking breast milk I had to use my breast pad...the pap I took with milk brought it out...baby jaundice level dropped on Tuesday...den increased on wed...so dey couldn't discharge us, we were hopeful...praying that by Thurs It shd av dropped...on Thurs they checked and it indeed dropped...so we were discharged... D docs said after 5 days of d baby's birth if if d jaundice level drops den it won't come up again, I was encouraged to feed her too bcs d light she was under expels d bilirubin's (wat causes jaundice) tru her poo and urine...so see me always praying for her to poopoo...lol...we were discharged on Monday and asked to cmbk on Saturday to do a final test to knw weda it av cleared...so on Friday morning my mum took baby out in d sun, and we spent like 45mins outside...I heard sun works faster Dan d photo therapy light...on Saturday we took her back and did d test...to d glory of God ...it dropped from 7.3 to 3.4( level of bilirubin) doc told us to go home that she's OK now...

As for my episionomy site... Nna ehh d thing is very close to my anus...the asked me not to do the sitz bath..if not my stitches will melt...I shd only clean with warm water and disinfectant... Den mk sure I wash and dry d place after using d toilet...I also chcnge my pad weneva its full...so as to kip d place from being infected...so far so gud...it has been healing... D pain isnt much anymore... I was given diclofenac to insert in my anus for 3 days bcs of pain....den sum oda routine drugs...
Vigilante for me isn't so bad...this sum days she can wake up at nyt for like 5 times max while sum days once or twice or thrice...
I give God all d glory for seeing me tru this journey... But I CNT help but think how it will be wen nxt I start my 2nd missionary journey... With d whole labour pain am now thinking if this my obsession with twins will work oo but I leave evryfin to God...

My world shattered. Oh Jesus! After all the stress,sleepness night, my baby returned to king Jesus this morning.

The first fruit of my womb gave me a short lived joy. He was so cute. Am sad, my world is upside down.

I experienced d joy of motherhood for few days.

I had a myo two a year and a half ago, hoping for a normal delivery. Are you sure it was not spinal anesthesia that was used for your myo.

True. Just assumed it was one and the same. What's your doc saying bout vaginal birth after myomectomy?

Please experienced and knowledgeable mommas. What's the deal with epidural in Nigerian hospitals? Private and public? I'm a ftm and I want to be prepared. I know I other countries; epidural is no big deal so wanna know if one has to request in naija; is it very commonly administered etc.

Also had a myomectomy two years ago; has anyone else had same and gone ahead to have a vaginal birth?? During the myomectomy; epidural was administered and it went well by God's grace.

Birth story: Team April. FTM
Thanking God for his mercies. My EDD was for 17/4/17. On the 9th, I noticed some brownish discharge with some mucus that continued flowing till Monday. About 6 pm that evening, felt some mild cramps, which soon progressed to mild contractions. I downloaded a contraction timer app and noticed it wasn't regular, more like each lasting 1 min in about 10-12 mins interval. I and my husband just decided to observe as I didn't want to have to go and spend a long time in hospital or stay overnight. Well by the time we went to bed, contractions became much stronger lasting 45-60secs every 5-6 mins. I endured through the night frequently urinating and passing soft stool.
Now, the morning of 11/4/17, Hubby wasn't comfortable leaving me at home so we said to just check in at the hospital and I was ready to come back home as I didn't feel the real thing had started. I was checked and was found to be 5cm!! That check was painful ooo, I screamed sha but I was very glad. Membranes were bulging and doc said would be best to rupture them and admit me for delivery. I had to agree. This was about 9:30am . He then augmented the process with oxytocin aka hot drip !! Lol. It was a progressive increase though as per the dose and contractions became far more regular, stronger and ofcourse more painful! Well 2 hours later and a couple more screams later (my husband was outside feeling so sad for me, he wasn't allowed in), I was fully dilated but before then I had been pushing, so baby came out with some tears around the perineum. Pushing is another waka on its own. Well I was sutured under mild sedation and slept through the process and for 3 good hours afterwardsds. They had to wake me up to see and feed my baby. She can so suck so hard. I was discharged later that evening and we are still coming to terms with our new arrival. She is her dads carbon copy and though seemingly small, a svery strong baby indeed! Breast milk is coming out a bit but I started her on some infant formular to hold her. Taking my meds esp for pain and looking at this gift from heaven. This morning we headed to the clinic for immunization and registration.
So that's it. Its been a wonderful journey. Though I didn't comment much, I learned quite a bit from us here. Sending grace to my team April members and all other teams as well on the queue, the baton has been handed over!.. Enjoy enjoy!!

Dey tried bursting my water to fasten the procedure but it's hard to locate the cervix .... Na only small water come out ...after put hand inside me like 100times.... I need prayer plz ooo mk una pray for me...

I don't know much about the excercises but you can ask google. Accidentally peeing yourself while pregnant I think is sha normal, ive seen so many people complain about that.

Thank God it's Friday! Want some knowledge on this issue of pelvic floor exercises. I have a slight cough and noticed leaking of urine while coughing but read that the exercise helps but don't even know where the pelvic floor is. I've tried doing it but not sure what exactly I'm doing.

Any experienced mommas with tips to help?

Hello everyone, I've had water in my ear for a couple of days now. I've tried tilting my head and had stayed in such position for a long time yet there has been no improvement. Pls, how else can I get the water out?

Tis like Sept mommas have similar symptoms! Had this same issue in week 14/15. Had to go see an ent doc oh. Combined with blocked nose and blocked ears Na antibiotics last last I use with nasal drops. Felt so uncomfortable but read online that its fairly common. I'm better now but the cataarh remains. Tis well.

Also had the phlegm issue from like 13 weeks. Went to clinic. Was given portion tabs and antibiotics cos was also coughing + cataarh. I read it happens like that for some women and you should drink more water. It's small butter kola I use. Just be licking and chewing but avoid swallowing. Then I take lemon water and chew the lemon skin which helps a bit.

Tis well. At your next antenatal tell the doc. All the best@

My ear blocks and opens, has happened like twice now, so annoying cuz it disturbs my balance when it happens, once complained to my doctor about it and he kinda just laughed it off. Yours might be connected to your blocked nose tho. Try cleaning out the outer part with cotton bud, that helps sometimes.

But if it aches, go straight to the ENT section of a general hospital, had this bad ear ache last year and wasted almost a whole year dealing with doctors and being diagnosed with all sorts until I finally went to Lasuth and it turned out to be hardened ear wax and the ear just needed to be syringed.

Hello mommas. Please has anyone experienced this and what was the solution? My left ear has been blocked for a couple of days now. Really getting irritating. Added to blocked nose and plenty mucous. Just into 2nd trimester. Thanks!
