According to repors, Abubakar Tsav, a former Commissioner of Police in Lagos State has said politicians are responsible for activities of bandits terrorising the country.



Tsav spoke on Tuesday, August 113th in Makurdi that banditry and most insecurities occurring in the country were created by politicians. He said most politicians knew exactly who the bandits were and why they were carrying out such activities.

“Banditry and insecurity are created by politicians and the politicians know who the bandits are. They know why these people are doing this. I want to appeal to our political class to have a change of heart and cooperate with security agencies to reduce criminality in the land. “If the police are courageous enough to search houses and monitor activities of politicians, you will see what they will recover from them,” he said.

He said increased level of corruption and porous borders had also contributed to the ongoing security challenge as most arms were smuggled into the country through the borders. Tsav advised the Federal Government to embark on massive employment of security personnel as this would mop up most of the unemployed youths from the streets and reduce criminality in the country.

According to him, security agencies, especially the police, lack manpower to handle the incessant security breaches in the country as most of the ones in the service were currently attached to politicians.

A woman has been apprehended and paraded for pouring hot water on her daughter’s boyfriend said to be a 300-Level Statistics student of the University of Abuja.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the lady who never supported the relationship, invited the boy over to her house for a peace talk but she had an ulterior motive.


The lady poured hot water on the boy upon arrival and subsequently raised false alarm of him being a thief. She however got arrested when residents turned up, while the boy was rushed to the hospital.

According to reports, A police officer attached to the Yobe State Police Command has been arrested for insulting President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu on Facebook.

The Policeman identified as Sunday Japhet had alleged that the country is being led by evil men in his August 9 Facebook post. He also announced that Police Officers will be holding a protest over their salaries which has been kept in a joint account by some unmentioned people to generate bank interests.

According to reports, A lady has been caught after stealing the Plasma TV belonging to Kevleyn Hotel in Delta State.

The lady identified as Laurenta, conspired with her boyfriend to commit the said act after lodging in the hotel for one week.

A Delta State Divisional Police Officer kidnapped along Benin-Asaba Expressway on Friday August 9, has been released after reportedly paying a N3m ransom.



The DPO said to be in-charge of Galilee Police Station at Ute-Ogbeje community in Ika North East Local Government Area of the state was identified as Mr Okoro, and he was reportedly whisked to an unknown location by the kidnappers who abducted him after shooting indiscriminately.

A source at the police command’s headquarters in Asaba, told Punch that the DPO regained his freedom after paying N3m on Sunday August 11.

Five-year-old Manuel Beshara called 911 on Friday and told the dispatcher that he was hungry and wanted to order a pizza, the Sanford Police Department said on Facebook.Officers were dispatched to the home, thinking that a well-being check was needed.

According to reports, The Nigerian Army on Wednesday offered explanation for the killing of three policemen on covert duties in Taraba State by its personnel.

The explanation was offered in a statement by the spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Sagir Musa.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner of Police Frank Mba, had earlier in the day said three operatives in the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team, headed by DCP Abba Kyari, were killed by the soldiers in Taraba State despite identifying themselves as being on covert operation to arrest one Alhaji Hamisu, a suspected kidnapper.
Hamisu was said to have been involved in several crimes, collecting N100 million as ransom during one of such operations.

However, Mba said as Hamisu was being driven to the Police Command Headquarters in Jalingo, they were engaged in fierce shooting by soldiers, resulting in the death of three policemen, a civilian and the escape of the suspect.

But Musa countered Mba, saying the IRT operatives refused to stop at three military checkpoints and then engaged the soldiers in a shootout.

He said some villagers had raised the alarm that the operatives were in an unmarked bus and refused to stop at the checkpoints, which resulted in the soldiers giving them a hot chase.

On the unfortunate incident that occurred on the 6th of August 2019 in which troops of 93 Battalion Nigerian Army Takum pursued and exchanged fire with some suspected Kidnappers who indeed turned out to be an Intelligence Response Team from the Police Force Headquarters Abuja on a covert assignment from Abuja resulting in the death and injury of some members of the Team.

On the 6th of August 2019, the said Nigerian Army troops, while responding to a distress call to rescue a kidnapped victim exchanged fire with the suspected kidnappers along Ibi-Wukari Road in Taraba State.

The suspected kidnappers numbering about ten (10) and driving in a white bus with Reg No LAGOS MUS 564 EU refused to stop when they were halted by troops at three consecutive check points.

The flagrant refusal of the suspected kidnappers to stop at the three checkpoints prompted a hot pursuit of the fleeing suspects by the troops.

It was in this process that the suspected kidnappers who were obviously armed opened fire at the troops sporadically thus prompting them to return fire.

In the resultant fire fight, four (4) suspects were shot and died on the spot while......................

According to reports, A man was arrested by police officers attached to the Delta State Police command after a prostitute he engaged in an overnight marathon sex with died.

The duo had lodged in a hotel at Amukpe community in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State. The girl’s lifeless body was discovered by hotel attendants on Thursday August 8, after the man tried checking out of the facility.

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Thursday promised to give N30 million to anyone who will give useful information that will lead to the arrest of those who killed a Director with the Rivers State Government during the Choba crisis and a notorious criminal called Bobrisky in Gokana Local Government Area.

Wike made the pledge on Thursday when he handed over 40 Patrol Vans fitted with Communication Gadgets to Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), See 4 Eye, Police Anti-Kidnapping, Police Anti-Cultism, Federal Road Safety Corps and Eagle Crime at the Government House Port Harcourt.

Wike also declared that the state government was fully prepared to tackle insecurity and would do everything required to protect lives and property, declaring that the state government had proscribed all youth groups operating in the state because they had been hijacked by cultists.

“Rivers State Government is fully prepared and will do everything required to protect lives and property. Without the protection of lives and property, there will be no governance and development.

“We are one State that has suffered neglect from the Federal Government in terms of support to fight insecurity. They have refused to pay back funds that we used in constructing Federal projects. But that will not stop us from intervening when the need arises”, he said.

The Governor said that he resolved to increase the support to the security agencies because of the successes recorded by Operation Sting.

He regretted that cultists had taken over youth groups across the State, necessitating the state government proscribing all youth Ggroups.

“Anybody operating under a youth body henceforth will be arrested by security agencies. Before you contest for any youth body’s leadership, you must send the names to the DSS and Police for screening. If they are cultists, we will not allow them to operate,” he said.

Wike said that the vehicles and gunboats donated to the security agencies must be deployed to secure Rivers State.

The Phnom Penh police, in collaboration with Dangkor district police, on Sunday arrested three Nigerians suspected of trafficking nearly 21 kilograms of crystal meth in Boeng Tumpon II commune.

Colonel Chim Sitha, chief of Dangkor district police, identified them as 35-year-old Maduka Jona Schibudo, 30-year-old Davis Candkwdo and 25-year-old Obiesie Chika Odinaka Chiemerie.

Col Sitha noted that they were arrested at about 8pm on Sunday after municipal anti-drug police, in collaboration with Dangkor district police, raided a room in Tony Guesthouse, which is located in Tnaot Chrum IV village in Meanchey district’s Boeng Tumpon II commune.



Col Sitha said that at about 5pm on the day of the arrest, the guesthouse owner alerted police about the men, who were suspected of hiding drugs in their rental room.

“They were arrested red-handed after police raided a room in a guesthouse in Boeng Tumpon II commune that they were staying in,” Col Sitha said. “After the raid and their arrests, police seized 21 large packages of crystal meth weighing nearly 21 kilograms, three passports, four phones, and other drug-related materials from them”

Lieutenant General Sar Thet, Phnom Penh police chief, yesterday said the suspects are currently detained at the Phnom Penh municipal police for further questioning.

Rev. Israel Akanji, the North-Central Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has stated that God will restore Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo even if he is found guilty of the rape allegation against him by Busola Dakolo.

According to reports, 17 Nigerian nationals and one Ugandan were arrested on Sunday night, in connection with the attack on police personnel by a group of African men, while on duty at the Flora Damansara apartment in Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, last Thursday.



Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador said the men were detained to facilitate investigation into the incident.

In the incident, Four policemen from the Commercial Crime Investigation Department, Petaling Jaya district police headquarters (IPD) were attacked while trying to arrest a Nigerian man suspected of being involved in fraudulent activities.

According to local media, the four police personnel who received information about a suspect in a cheating case conducted the raid at the location at 10.50pm.

“They observed the unit for a few minutes before they saw some movement inside the house. They knocked on the door and called for the occupants for a few minutes but there was no answer before they charged in,”

Checks found three African women and two African men in the house.

“The policemen showed their ID and introduced themselves as cops before asking the Africans for their identification documents. However, they refused to oblige and acted aggressively towards the police. When the police tried to calm the situation, a group of African men showed up at the house and screamed at the police to leave,”

The group then became more aggressive and started throwing bottles, sticks and shoes at the policemen.

“During the tense moment, three of the policemen were pulled out while another one was pushed inside the house. The five suspects in the house took the advantage to escape during the scuffle. When one of the policemen tried to apprehend one of the suspects, he was hit with a desk drawer, stepped on and punched in the face.”

Another police officer then called for backup before eight policemen arrived at 12.01am, causing all the Africans to flee.

The injured policeman was taken to University of Malaya Medical Centre for treatment. Some policemen were also missing their wallets, mobile phones and motorcycle keys during the incident.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador confirmed that so far 18 people have been detained to assist investigations into the incident which was described as a violent and irresponsible act.

“The attack is unacceptable and we will not tolerate such violence. Our investigation is not focused on just one nationality,“ he told a press conference after launching the Autisme.

The incident also caught the attention of Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who in condemning the incident said the government would not compromise with anyone who violates the law or obstructs the police in performing their duties.

“I have instructed for a full investigation on those involved and for stern action to be taken as provided by the law. I would like to emphasise that foreigners who come to this country must behave accordingly and abide by the rules of this country,“ he said in a statement on Monday.

Meanwhile, Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief Fadzil Amat said police would apply for a remand order on the eight Nigerian men at the Petaling Jaya Court today.

“We will also request for an extension of the remand order for the 10 Nigerian men who were arrested on the night of the incident,“ he said.

A woman who has been married for the past 20 years without a child, gave birth to five babies (quintuplets) in Ghana.

The 45-year-old known as Maame Cynthia welcomed her bundle of joy, two
girls and three boys at Sam-J Specialist Hospital at Haatso, Accra in Ghana. The babies were conceived through in-vitriol fertilization.

Maame Cynthia revealed how two of her impatient husbands divorced her due to her inability to conceive but that, she stressed, did not deter her from hoping to celebrate the fruit of her womb.

A 65 year-old-man, Moses Airhiagbonkpa, fell to his death this morning within the premises of the Edo State High Court.



According to reports, Airhiagbonkpa was at the 10th floor of the High court building with members of the Ugiekhue community to get a new date for a case involving his community, Ugiekhue community.

He was pressed and decided to use the rest room. He opened a door and as he stepped into a place he thought was the toilet., he fell to his death. It was later discovered that Mr Airhiagbonkpa stepped into a open space where the former elevator for the building was located. The High court was undergoing renovation and part of the things being fixed was the elevator. The contractors removed the elevator with the hope of putting a new one as soon as possible.

A near-mishap was recorded today at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, as a plane ‘crash-landed’ today at the facility.

The travelers reportedly survived the incident due to the expertise of the female pilot, but the plane lost its tyres after crash-landing. It was further gathered that the emergency rescue came 52 minutes after the incident occurred.

Today… Was a confirmation of His annointing upon my life. For the 2nd time this year, I had near death experience. First na Okada, now na Plane…

As we arrived Lagos on @flyairpeace , the pilot (she was a woman, I was so proud) announced that we will be landing at international tarmac because of visibility issues. The sleep wey bin dey my eyes, auto cleared.

Some minutes later, seems the plane started nose diving on a fast track. And she in her expertise applied control. Then… Next… It picked up a speed and bang!!! bang!!!!!

We dropped from the sky to the hard ground. And the ceiling of the plan dropped. Children crying. People screaming Blood of Jesus! Some screaming my Mummy. It was hard! My life flashed before me….

Then the pilot informed that she can’t estimate the damage, however, that the plane lost its both tyres. That she had signaled for an evacuation. She kept working hard, though unsuccessfully, to calm agitated

They said they are awaiting tow truck to tow us from international tarmac to local
.
I got my bag, had my inhaler handy… And we awaited emergency rescue.

TheY came 52 MINUTES Later (Nigeria’s emergency response time)… We for don burn finish if not for God! . . . .
Praise God for Us… He averted what could have been a tragic plane crash.
