SportsChelsea Supporters And Management At Loggerhead Over Transfer by googlelove(op): 8:18am On Jul 25, 2018
The Chelsea transfer news heats up as the club manager and the supporter, seems to have different opinion on players to bring to the bridge. Maurizio Sarri have continued to push for Argentine sensation Gonzalo Higuain, despite reports of the Argentine imminent departure to Seria A club AC Milan as part of deal to bring Leornado Bonucci to Juventus. Though both Milan and Juventus met yesterday, but no deal was reached.

According to expert Gianluca Di Marza, Chelsea is expected to make an offer of their own for Higuain. "In a meeting today between Milan and Juventus principally concerning Lenoardo Bonucci and Gonzalo Higuain, talks were inconclusive," Di Marzio wrote on his website.

While Sarri continues to push for a reunion with the Argentine, Chelsea faithful’s have look other way  with 75% percent of supporters backing a move for Paulo Dybala. The arrival of Portuguese playmaker to the club, meant that a high profile player is to leave the club. Chelsea faithful are hoping that the Dybala becomes the man ahead of teammate Higuain.

The 24yr old attacker who is very much versatile with position ranging from center forward, right winger and deeper in No 10 role is the perfect match for Sarri’s Chelsea project.

The 24yr old who is believed to be in the mood of Argentine prodigy Lionel Messi, netted 26 times with 7 assists last season. Dybala won’t come cheap with Transfermarkt placing a £99m price fee on him but given the age difference between him and fellow countryman, he remains a very much good acquisition.

Despite the fact that Sarri craves for Higuain who was ruthless during his days at Napoli, Chelsea faithful seems to have made a statement on a player who they believe can fill any possible void created by either the departure of Eden Hazard or Willian.

SportsLiverpool To Sell Seven Players In A Bid To Raise Funds by googlelove(op): 9:22pm On Jul 24, 2018
The Reds have been making headlines in the current transfer window, with the acquisition of new players and the retention of key players. The club however is reportedly ready to sale seven players in a bid to raise funds.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Merseyside outfit looks to make an amount in the region of £106.5m if things go their way. Liverpool Echo learnt that the projected amount could help offset the money spent on the recent acquisition of Alisson, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherden Shaqiri valued at £165m.

Daniel Sturridge is expected to remain with the Merseyside outfit, despite his injury prone nature and his failed loan outing with relegated West brom last season. Why the England international could remain with the club, the same cannot be said for Danny Ings and Simon Mignolet who are surplus to requirement.

Danny Ings who is currently valued at £20m, is expected to depart the club as he seeks for game time at a lower club. Simon Mignolet whose chances of become the club’s first choice goalkeeper was ruled out with the arrival of Alisson will be seeking for a move away from the club as he searches for match time. Divock Origi top the list of players to leave the club as he seeks to rebuild his football career. The Belgian current valued at £27m remains a nice business for potential employers.

Other players include Lazar Markovic, Marko Grujic, Sheyl Ojo and Pedro Chirlvella.

SportsSarri To Go Extra Miles In Keeping Hazard, Courtois And Willian at Chelsea by googlelove(op): 5:15am On Jul 24, 2018
Sarri remains optimistic about keeping key players Eden Hazard, Thaibaut Courtois and Willian at the club, as he intends on conversing with the players when they return to Cobham later in the month. The manager hopes to convince the trio who are heavily linked with a move away from the Bridge.

Eden Hazard is believed to be heading to the Spanish capital according to French media Le10 sport, which reported last week that £170m have been agreed among the clubs. Willian seems to be a target for the Barcelona, with the London club recently rejecting £55m bid made by the Catalonian side for the player.

Thaibaut Courtois have been involved sparingly in the summer, but he is believed to heading to the Spanish capital who according to dailystar.co.uk in a reported £38m bid. This is believed to be due to the inability of the player to extend his contract with the London club.
Despite the exit rumours of these key players, independent reports that the Chelsea boss is willing to come to the negotiation table in a bid to save the Chelsea team.

Sarri in his first post-match conference after Chelsea’s 1-0 victory over Australian side Perth Glory responded to Sky sports “It’s a pleasure to have Courtois, to have Willian, to have Hazard, but their future does not depend on me. So, we have to wait I’m confident”. “I think the press sells the players every single year. They buy players, they sell players” quoted by Sarri. “I hope the trio can stay because they are fantastic players, fantastic talent and we need the best players at Chelsea”.

Sarri’s philosophy is yet to be imbibed in the clubs as both parties immediately left for Australia after unveiling, last week.

Hi Nairalanders,

I am relocating from Abuja to Awka and I would like to know the areas that can boast of regular power supply and good road network. Regular power supply here means like 6 hours minimum daily. Please give me a heads up if there are such places like this, and the cost of a room and parlour or/and 2-bedroom flat.

I await your suggestions.

Thanks.

Open Heaven 8 March 2018 Thursday – FAVOURED BY MERCY

Open Heavens 8 March 2018 Thursday Memorise: It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Lamentations 3:22

Read: Romans 9:14-16(KJV) Open Heaven 8 2018 Thursday

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Read: Genesis 37:19-21

19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

21 And Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.

MESSAGE – OPEN HEAVEN 8 MARCH 2018 THURSDAY DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Nobody can succeed in this world if the Lord withholds His mercy from him or her. I pray that God will show you His mercy by granting you divine favour today in Jesus’ Name. One character that illustrates a life operating under divine favour is Joseph. Genesis 39:21 says this concerning him;

“But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

When you consider the events of His life, you will begin to understand the magnitude of God’s mercy available to someone operating under divine favour. For example, from today’s Bible reading, we see that nobody can kill a person operating under divine favour. When Joseph’s brothers saw him coming, they said amongst themselves, “Let us kill him.” However, they were not able to carry out their devilish intentions because Joseph was operating under God’s favour. When powerful people decide that the time has come for a divinely favoured person to die, they will surely fail. I want to assure you today by the word of the Lord, you will not die before your time in Jesus’ Name. Why am I so sure of this? My assurance stands on the declaration of the Almighty God in Deuteronomy 32:39:

“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.”

<>Open-Heavens-2018
OPEN HEAVENs 2018 THURSDAY
Based on this declaration, when you are operating under the favour of God, nobody can kill you or terminate your destiny. As a matter of fact, Isaiah 54:17 says this about you:

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

By this word of the Lord, every weapon formed against you shall be neutralised in Jesus’ Name. When you are operating under the divine favour of God, rather than you dying, as wished by the enemies of your destiny and vision, the Lord will strengthen the arms of your spiritual hands to fulfil your destiny. Here is what the Holy Spirit says about Joseph in Genesis 49:23-24:

“The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel: )”

As the Lord did for Joseph, so shall He do for you today in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point – Open Heaven 8 March 2018 Thursday

Father, as Your hands strengthened the arms of Joseph to fulfil his destiny, strengthen the arms of my hands today in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 8 March 2018 Thursday Hymn

SING HYMN 11 – O GOD, OUR HELP IN AGES PAST
O God, our help in ages past,

Our hope for years to come,

Our shelter from the stormy blast,

And our eternal home.

Under the shadow of Thy throne

Thy saints have dwelt secure;

Sufficient is Thine arm alone,

And our defence is sure

Before the hills in order stood,

Or earth receive her frame,

From everlasting Thou art God,

To endless years the same.

A thousand ages in Thy sight

Are like an evening gone;

Short as the watch that ends the

night

Before the rising sun.

Time, like an ever-rolling stream,

Bears all its sons away

They fly forgotten, as a dream

Dies at the opening day.

O God. Our help in ages past,

Our hope for years to come,

Be Thou our guard while life

Shall last,

And our external home.

Lexxyla:
The great Johan Cruyff is known for his football philosophy. He did and said things that redefined football. In this article, I'll be bringing out three famous quotes by the legendary Cruyff. You'll understand why I'm doing it, while you keep on reading. "When you play a match, it is statistically proven that players actually have the ball 3 minutes on average. So, the most important thing is: what do you do during those 87 minutes when you do not have the ball. That is what determines whether you’re a good player or not" - Johan Cruyff

Yes, in a football match, a player only holds the ball for an average of 3 minutes. In most cases, its less than that. It is more than that in few exceptional cases. Modern football fans believe that those 3 minutes define you as a player. But that is 100% wrong. Yes, most players are amazing with the ball. They have skill and technique on the ball but the end product? Not quite there. What defines you as a player, is what you do without the ball. The positioning, supporting, fast thinking, dropping back etc.

Why am I telling you all this? Because most people undermine what Cristiano Ronaldo does on a football pitch. Messi is a great dribbler. Probably the best dribbler the world has ever seen. When he plays, you can 'see' him play. Difference with Ronaldo is, you don't see him play. All we see is, he was silent throughout the match and he got a tap in. Oh, another tap in by Ronaldo. Little does an untrained eye understand what goes before a tap in. The overlapping runs, the positioning, exploiting spaces, the body feints and dummies to shrug off defenders, the ability to get into shooting positions with a few players marking him; the ability to judge where the ball will end up while a move is still being started; the mental ability to judge the trajectory of theball. Ronaldo hardly looks at the ball before heading it. He exactly knows where the ball is by looking at how it was kicked. His main concern is shrugging off the defender and making the perfect leap. His awareness of the game is at 110%. These are qualities that sets him apart from every other player in the world.

Ronaldo, is the best off the ball player in the world. But these qualities of him are heavily undermined, mainly by this meme culture and rival hate. Unless a video was made analyzing Ronaldo's movement and thinking in a match, no one notices what he does on the pitch. (Do watch Managing Madrid's video on Ronaldo's movement) This is also why Ronaldo performs the same way in every team regardless of his teammates. His off the ball movement always remains the same. Messi's effectiveness however, changes in Argentina. And that's due to his teammates not having the same chemistry with him as his Barca teammates. For a possession based footballer, team chemistry is a must have. The best player doesn't necessarily mean, the best player on the ball: which is easily Messi. This is the misconception that most Cules and some Madridistas have. As much as Messi is a football genius, Ronaldo is too. He is effective just as much against weaker teams and even more than Messi in big games due to his off the ball ability. This is why he scores in almost every big game. While most people see him as a lucky footballer who happens to have good teammates and who happens to be in the right place in the right time, professional footballers, managers and analysts see what Ronaldo does without the ball which makes him so lethal. This is why even an aging Ronaldo is one of the two most intimidating players in the world.

"Quality without results is pointless. Results without quality is boring." - Johan Cruyff.

If dribbling and skill on the ball was what mattered in football, Ricardo Quaresma would be the best player of Portugal. Is he though? Absolutely not, as he lacks the end result. While Leo has a great end result, questions need to be asked about how effective he was against the big teams. Except the Real Madrid match, in every other game, though he showed great quality on the ball, the end result was not quite there. But Ronaldo, had results. His way of football is different to Messi's. He's a counter attacking footballer. Messi is a possession based footballer. Ronaldo doesn't need the ball much to show his quality. He gets the ball a few times, and he delivers. The quality and the results were both there.

And finally, I'll end this long article with another famous Cruyff quote. "Playing football is very simple, but playing simple football is the hardest thing there is." - Johan Cruyff.

This is why Ronaldo is different. You don't understand what he does on the pitch. His way of thinking is simple and effective. What's the point of a football match? You score more goals to win the match. This is what he does with a lot of panache. Ronaldo gets into the matches in short, simple periods, and destroys opponents. As in the Juventus match, quoting Ronaldo himself, 'One chance, bang.' A million dribbles and through balls don't win you a match. (Obviously it does in some cases, but that's not the context here) What a player does without the ball defines him as a footballer. And the truth is, while Messi is the best with the ball, Ronaldo is the best without it. What Messi does with the ball, Ronaldo does without it. Who you prefer, depends on you. But one thing you need to understand is, they're on the same level, with just two completely different approaches to the game. This year's Ballon D'or hence, will be won by Ronaldo, as it was him who won more. And he indeed, is the deserving winner. So if you kept questioning what makes Ronaldo special, I hope this article helped you understand what Ronaldo is. Please don't insult a player, if you don't understand what his strengths are. Because after all, you and I know nothing compared to the greatest football philosopher, the late Johan Cruyff.

P. S - The reason I used Messi in this article is because he's the only player that is equal to Cristiano. Explaining this was much easier using Messi and his style to compare with. No hate on Leo here. I have great respect for him.
