As a deist, I do believe in the Biblical God in certain respects, I hold God to be omnipresent, eternal and infinite, non-contingent conscious intelligence which willed reality into being as a testament of Himself. I now disagree with many unique claims about God made by Christianity and other religions though I find that they share a common core concept of God which they share for the most part. Finally, I hold God to be the space wherein you are talking.

Atheists don't believe in a God whether theistic or deistic we might share in disagreeing with Christianity or other religions and in reason being important but that's where the simalirities end and the difference, which is all that matters, starts.

I go by my life experiences. That is how I reason with my take on the spiritual realm. Growing up I lived with my grand mother for like a year. I was able to experience and participate in the ambiance of the Gods. I saw things, both good and evil.

However, most of my spiritual enlightenment happened when I had no affiliation with any form of deity be it Abrahamic gods or traditional deities. The way I see it fulfillment comes from within.

I won battles without the need to call on any deity or seek help from pastors, imams or traditional priest. In a way I believe humans are a vessel with spiritual link to supreme forces of the universe, we just have to tap into it.

I can't see myself dabbling with any deity because they always ask for something. Just as you mentioned there is something called the "wind of change" to me the universe is God and I bask in its glory.

As mention before there are forces at play within the universe that we cannot comprehend within the writings of men. However, forces that we consider foreign seems to undermine the sanctity of that which we call our own. Is it that our own forces embrace stagnation or these forces just like to be bullied by foreign forces. I say this with utmost respect for African deities. But one has to wonder...what is their game plan or their selling point.
