CrimeRe: NDLEA Dismantles Meth Lab In Oyo Forest, Arrests Mexican Suspect & 4 Nigerians by Goosethetruth(m): 4:12pm On Jun 24
Well done to the NDLEA law enforcement unit. The usual suspect mastermind brought in his Mexican collaborator to manufacture their Meth poison.
The locals will think the paraphernalia being used in the nefarious activity is for a factory, not knowing they are manufacturing their illicit drugs.

Once again, well done to the NDLEA. It is high time the legislature passes a law that punishes drug peddling with the death penalty!!!
PoliticsRe: Why Nigeria Should Give The Igbo A Chance At The Presidency by Goosethetruth(m): 2:20pm On Jun 24
ariesbull:
Nigeria's democracy is strongest when every major component of the federation feels a sense of belonging and inclusion. Since the return to democratic rule in 1999, the presidency has been occupied by leaders from different regions of the country. The South-West has produced a president, the North-West has produced presidents, and the South-South has also occupied the highest office. Yet, the South-East remains the only major geopolitical zone that has not had the opportunity to produce a democratically elected president in the Fourth Republic.

Giving the Igbo a chance at the presidency should not merely be viewed as an ethnic concession; it should be seen as a commitment to fairness, national unity, and the principles of federal character upon which Nigeria was founded. A nation thrives when all groups believe they have an equal stake in its future.

Beyond the argument of equity, the South-East has consistently demonstrated remarkable entrepreneurial capacity, resilience, innovation, and commitment to economic development. Across Nigeria, Igbo entrepreneurs have built businesses, created jobs, and contributed significantly to commerce, manufacturing, and trade. The region has produced numerous professionals, academics, technocrats, and business leaders who have excelled both within Nigeria and internationally.

The question before Nigerians should not be, "Where is the candidate from?" but rather, "Who has the competence, vision, integrity, and capacity to lead?" Modern nations progress when merit takes precedence over ethnic considerations. Countries that have achieved sustainable development did so by prioritizing leadership quality over tribal, religious, or regional sentiments.

Nigeria has paid a heavy price for politics driven by ethnicity, nepotism, and sectional interests. Tribalism has often divided citizens, weakened national cohesion, and distracted the country from addressing pressing challenges such as insecurity, unemployment, poverty, infrastructure deficits, and economic growth. The future of Nigeria depends on moving beyond these divisions and embracing a culture where leadership is earned through performance and ability.

The South-East has produced individuals with proven records in governance, business, public administration, academia, and industry. Therefore, Nigerians should evaluate candidates from the region with an open mind and on the basis of their ideas, competence, and track records rather than ethnic stereotypes or historical prejudices.

Giving an Igbo candidate a fair opportunity to contest and potentially lead the nation would send a powerful message that Nigeria belongs to all its citizens. It would strengthen national integration, deepen democratic participation, and reinforce the belief that every Nigerian, regardless of ethnic background, can aspire to the highest office in the land.

Ultimately, the call is not for Nigerians to support a candidate simply because he or she is Igbo. Rather, it is a call to reject tribalism and nepotism, embrace meritocracy, and judge every candidate by their vision, competence, character, and ability to deliver results. A united and prosperous Nigeria can only emerge when citizens place national interest above ethnic loyalties and choose leaders based on what they can achieve for the country as a whole.
A poorly written original post full of contradictions and based on emotional tribalism.
Nobody hands presidential power to anybody based on emotions or where you come from.
You build bridges across all the political and geographical zones of the country. Based on this adult voters will cast their vote for their preferred candidate. Unfortunately the Ibo as represented by Peter Obi have failed to do this, rather they have resorted to bullying and abuse as a means to attain political power. It is not going to work in present day Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Dissecting The Obidients: The Psychology Of A Confused Bully-mob by Goosethetruth(m): 2:09pm On Jun 24
CharlesCNG:
When the Bully Starts Crying: The Obidient Problem.

One of the most revealing things about the Obidient movement is not only what it says, but how it behaves. It is loud when attacking others, but fragile when the same fire is returned. That contradiction is not accidental. It is the psychology of a confused bully-mob.

A normal political movement accepts scrutiny as part of democracy. A bully-mob accepts scrutiny only when it is directed at others. Once attention turns toward its own camp, it begins to squeal about persecution, bias, and unfairness. That is why Obidients can spend months mocking Tinubu, Atiku, Soludo, APC, ADC, NDC, and almost anybody who disagrees with them, yet suddenly become emotional when Peter Obi receives sharp criticism in return. What changed? Nothing — except the direction of the cannon.

That is how mob bullies behave. They do not really believe in free speech, robust debate, or scrutiny as a principle. What they want is a monopoly of aggression. They want to throw stones without hearing the sound of broken glass behind them. They want the right to mock, insult, and pressure everybody else, but they do not want anybody else to answer in the same language. So they keep trying to occupy two opposite moral positions at once: fearsome aggressor on Monday, helpless victim by Tuesday.

That is why their politics often looks confused. Yesterday, negative attention to Tinubu meant accountability. Today, negative attention to Obi means obsession. Yesterday, sharp criticism was civic courage. Today, it is “too much focus” on a private citizen.

The deeper danger is that this behaviour produces political delusion. Once a movement begins to romanticize all criticism as proof of secret strength, it loses the ability to self-correct. Instead of asking, “Why are people pushing back against us?” it begins to flatter itself with fantasies: “We are too important. They are afraid of us. The attacks prove we already won.”

That is how movements detach from reality. They stop studying voters and begin studying enemies. They stop building persuasion and begin rehearsing victimhood.

In the end, a bully-mob is always shocked by resistance because it mistakes its own noise for moral superiority. But noise is not virtue. Aggression is not argument. And mob energy is not leadership.
The Obidient problem, therefore, is not merely that they are loud. It is that they are loud without symmetry — eager to dish out scrutiny, but unable to digest it when it returns.
The weak, feeble responses of the usual suspects to this logical original post only serves as an emphasis of the truth therein.
CrimeRe: A Glimpse At Life Inside Sokoto Prison where Nnamdi Kanu Is Serving Time(Photos) by Goosethetruth(m): 9:55am On Jun 22
The way the usual suspects flip flop and change the rules as the game proceeds is an act that needs to be studied.

The same people who stated categorically that Nigeria will BURN if Nnamdi Kanu is jailed to flip flop and start claiming that Nnamdi Kanu is having the time of his life in Sokoto prison shows the manipulative and self delusional nature of these characters.

These same group claimed Simon Ekpa could NEVER be jailed because he is a Finnish citizen. The terrorist is now convicted and serving jail time in a prison cell in Finland for terrorism.

The level of cognitive dissonance and self delusion is an art that requires studying. How a rational human being can delude him/her self that confinement to a jail cell for life is equivalent to living a VIP treatment just makes the mind boggle.

ALL the journalists that worked in weekly magazines/journals like TELL,THE NEWS,and TEMPO deserve national honours for contributing to the exit of the military from governance.
So many of them were jailed and hounded by the military for publishing the truth in those days.
So many young people are ignorant of the events of those days because history is not taught in schools.
These guys risked their lives. Many of them were roped into phantom coups just for doing their jobs as journalists. And they did these things WITHOUT the Internet!
I perused that list and I am surprised that names of people like Colonel Dangiwa Umar and Doctor Beko Ransome Kuti,Moshood Fayemiwo,Ms Ibim Semenitari, and Mrs Chris Anyanwu are not on that list.
Maybe the Presidency will include their names next year.

Nonsense!
Why do Obidients have persecution complex? Anyone pointing out your hypocrisy is automatically an APC supporter?
This is why Seriake Dickson was very clever and tactical in his dealings with Peter Obi and Obidients. He quickly learned from history. He saw how Obi and his hordes, hijacked the structure of Labour Party from Julius Abure and Papa Lamidi Apapa and turned the whole place into a cacophony of madness.
Mr Dickson is a very cerebral person and used his tongue to count his teeth. He has made sure no person becomes bigger than him in his OWN political party.
When Obi loses in 2027 and migrates to another political party as usual,Dickson has made sure there will be no scorched earth policy by Obidients. You will leave the party empty as you came, but the party remains intact for the Kwankwaso-Dickson ticket in 2031.

Was this a genuine operation or a carefully staged recording? The footage deserves independent scrutiny.
