Well whoever is censoring threads in the Christianity section is certainly not helping @ Seun at all. However I seriously doubt that anyone would move a thread out to the General section,not once but twice without @Seun's knowledge!

I think this shows how ingenious we humans are, that we can create religions and essentially Gods for ourselves in answer to questions we can not yet answer.

Good thing is, when we get better answers, we remove our temporary gap filling Gods and replace them with those answers, and then move on to the next question we can't answer that we've temporarily filled with the Gods.

By temporary, I mean a day is like a thousand years.

I had posted the same thread last week under the title,"The absurdity of religion." Only to find the thread in the General section. That was why I decided to repost it as "Absurdity." to reassure myself that I didn't make a mistake. This is undiluted censorship on Nairaland.com of free thought. It is such a shame because the owner of this forum,@Seun , spreads his wings and posts freely without censorship on X(Twitter).

All religion is man made. All gods are created from the minds of men. Religion takes place when man has no answers to natural phenomenon. When man lacks the knowledge to know what causes certain incidents, man attributes it to a god or gods.
Religion calls for man to suspend all rational and empirical thought process and place trust in faith. This is blocking the empty gaps with a god.

The absurdity of religion leads man to suspend his intelligence and place trust in invisible entities. Suspension of rational thought to believe in invisible magical beings.
The absurdity of religion has man mouthing meaningless words called prayers or singing songs called hymns to imaginary invisible beings.
The authorities of religion such as pastors know that religious belief is false but because of the benefits and power derived from religion they keep up and promote the charade. That is why it is funny and ironic that when the pastor has a critical needs he requests that the congregation donate money to him and his cohorts but whenever the congregation has critical needs the pastor implores them to pray to god!?
The pastor even goes as far as employing security organisations( bouncers) or policemen to provide security from harm or attack while admonishing the congregation to mouth empty prayers for protection in the same society.
Religious books are full of mythical stories and different forms of magic and strange apparitions. There are resurrections of dead corpses,flying beings,talking animals,men living inside fishes for days and surviving and other absurdities which ask you to suspend all rational thought process.

There is a religion that implores you to suspend all reason,procure a flight ticket,travel to Saudi Arabia,pick up stones and start throwing these stones at a wall which is said to represent the devil. There is no devil to stone elsewhere except in Arabia. These are some of the absurdities that serve as dogma in religion.
In each religion there are uncountable denominations as well as doctrines. Each denomination and religion believe their religion is the true religion and every other religion is fake and false. This is the battle for supremacy among religions to the extent the adherents are ready to murder and kill other humans to propagate their mad beliefs.
The fun and absurdity of religion stops the adherents from thinking that if there is a god,it is the duty of this god to point out which of the uncountable Religious beliefs is the true one,but all the adherents recieve from this god is a loud,cacophony of silence!
