A club in their position should’ve gone straight for an EPL—proven relegation escape artist. Instead, they’re still behaving like Europa League Champions rather than a team drowning in a relegation battle. The ego is unbelievable — as if picking up the phone to someone like Sam Allardyce is beneath them.

A team that reached a Champions League final less than a decade ago shouldn’t be anywhere near the bottom three, yet here they are, paralysed by pride and delusion. They refused to accept what they’ve become, and now they’re paying the price for it.

That was why I was gobsmacked when I saw the usual suspects advocating and supporting RELEGATION last season as a REJUVENATION in order to show support for their greasy haired airhead. Relegation would set this club back by a decade because you would lose your best players on the cheap and there is no guarantee that you would bounce back to the Premier league because the Championship is a brutal,nasty and unforgiving league. Those who gained promotion out of that place have tales that can last a lifetime. Visits to places like Stoke on a cold,blistering rainy night.

This Spurs relegation issue is a lesson to every big club,including Manchester United. You must work to retain your position every season and no team remains in the Premier league based on reputation or historical records.

Harry Maguire maybe 33 years old,however he has been one of United's best players under Michael Carrick. He deserves an extension of his contract for one year. Along with Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro he has been amoung the elder statesmen in this team. It is not just to change players because Liverpool has decided to let Sallah go. If Liverpool and Slot had their way they would certainly extend Sallah's contract for an extra year.
