Lol. Myer's quote would have helped you see that your stance was impossible.
It appears your challenge is that unintelligible tongues to you is the jargons you hear in many churches today. I am totally against that. You put yourself in a position of either this or that with 1Cor14, but my stance is it's neither.
The only unintelligible tongues I speak of are tongues of angels as in 1Cor 13:1 not gibberish , jargons and senseless mantras and if you go through all my posts here with that at the back of your mind, you'd see I've done justice to every scriptural query.

Brother, this tongues of Angels was never spoken by any man. Paul, who was caught up in the third heaven could make reference to that by his experience in 2 Cor.12v4. He himself can not express those words as he said.

So 1 cor 13v1 is hyperbolic saying, Even if, he could speak those languages of 2 cor.12v4, but still doesn't have love, he's nothing. Meaning, that languages he heard but cannot be expressed in words was needed there but love is needed here.

And btw, what's the usefulness of that so called tongues of angels if not needed here? Are you talking to Angels or to men here? Are you praying to Angels or to God? These are most questions I always ask myself and allow scriptures to answer me through the Spirit.

We have to be open minded to re examine our doctrine and there's therefore no shame in it if we're wrong all the way. Be open minded and re examine this doctrine and believe sir.

Lastly, if unintelligible tongues is not what we hear in Pentecostal churches today which I used to participate too, please you tell us what unintelligible tongues are because to the best of my knowledge that's what Pentecostals called speaking in tongues not the well understood and intelligible languages that was spoken in Acts 2.

Goshen360 still owes us a class.

I know my brother but my times are tight considering work, rest before another work and family etc but I sure will do something soon....all of these so called "tongues of angels" etc will be dealt with also.

In all, with an open mind and a re visit of the doctrine of tongues, I'm now fully convinced and can teach that there's not one single person from Christ to the Apostles that spoke in "unintelligible" language or tongues in the scriptures like we see in Pentecostal churches today so where does our Pentecostal people got this from?

I believe it's from the same verse that had held me down too in the wrong doctrine for years, 1 cor. 14v2 but once that is understood with open mind, the rest of every 1 cor 14 is also understood.

Even if we say this Pentecostal "unintelligible" tongue is correct based on their understanding, Paul still said, KEEP QUIET IN THE CHURCH WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE INTERPRETER OR WHEN U CAN'T INTERPRET YOURSELF, rather speak or pray to God in private BUT same Pentecostal ignore that verse and still be speaking "unintelligible" language without interpretation. Doesn't that sound confusing to they themselves?

Lastly, I asked myself, where do we in the Pentecostal church today got this intelligible language from if not one single Apostle ever spoke it? But before I come to do my class, a simple question to the pro - unintelligible tongue crew, can they give us just one example where any Apostle spoke in this unintelligible tongue in scripture such as we have in Pentecostal churches today?

I know you have bitten the poisonous pill called "Progressive Christians" who are not Christians at all will not be happy with the policies Trump is putting in place, to them Trump is a virus.

I am an evangelical bible believer who believes that the Bible is God breathed and is applicable to our individual and national lives this is anthetical to the progressives' ideology who would want to push the antichrist agenda.

TRUMP IS NOT YOUR MESSIAH!

Trump is a virus to the American people and I will rather see his ass out of office this year than talking about him and the fake evangelicals. If you have anything for me and Trump in the foreign section, mention or invite me and trust me I'll be there... grin grin.

You're so smart to know YOU are part of the evangelicals I was talking about so you changed the subject but I'll be watching YOU

Fornication according to the context of this devotion has been defined as "an unlawful consensual sexual relationship between two unmarried opposite genders." You are free to argue its meaning or whether it can include same genders but this is not the section or thread to debate this. If you insist on debating on that subject then feel free to go to the Foreign section and open a thread to that effect. Don't spam this thread with your confusion.

Followers Of Fornicators
TEXT: 1 Corinthians 5:9-11

"I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators" (1 Corinthians 5:9).

Someone said, "You are known by the friends you keep." In life generally, it will be difficult not to follow somebody or a group of people. However, those you follow are most likely to influence your life for better or for worse.

You have to think and pray well before deciding to follow anyone. As a Christian, there must be some good qualities in a person or group which you must consider before keeping company with them.

Apostle Paul told the Corinthian Church, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1). Paul had the character and spiritual qualities that any believer would like to emulate. His good qualities were derived from his followership of Christ, our great Model.

As an unlawful consensual sexual relationship between two unmarried opposite genders, formication is immoral, devilish and sinful. It separates a believer from God; it leads to guilt and breeds venereal diseases.

Do not follow fornicators in real life or on social media, even if they are movie or music stars. God's counsel is, "flee formication" and "keep yourself pure." Be warned!

Quote: "Fornication separates a believer from God."

Chɑllenge: "Do not follow fornicators in real life or on social media"

Prɑyer: "Lord, help me to keep myself pure in Jesus' name"

See more here:

On the challenge at the end of the beautiful article or write up, how about evangelicals who follow and/or support fornicators such as Trump? What should be said about these evangelicals? undecided cry wink
Religion / Re: What Is The Biblical Punishment For A Rapist. by Goshen360(m): 7:18am On Jun 03, 2020

I had meant to say that the Law of Moses was ceremonial in nature. The Mosaic Law, is bound between Deuteronomy 4:48 and Deuteronomy 28:68; we see ordinances concerning prohibited food, divorce, tithes, cities of refuge, leprosy, first fruits, etc. It had in its edict laws that regulated the society: laws of food, of purity, of morality, and instructions on whom to install as a king when Israel demands for one. These reasons (especially the Laws regarding the feasts) are why I said they were ceremonial in nature.

The Law of God, The Ten Commandments, was placed inside the Ark of Covenant. (Exodus 40:20). Moses Law was placed outside the Ark of Covenant (Deut. 31:26).

You could search a good study Bible or any source you are comfortable with to see that the Law of God is the Ten Commandments.

It is human beings that made such distinction by calling some ceremonial, moral and sacrificial laws because of the same way you're looking at those laws, that is, some deal with ceremonial, some dietary, some morals etc.

My point is, God never made such distinctions or categorization. The law when given to Moses all are law of God, because it was given to Moses to administer to Israel hence, it was called Mosaic law. There're many scriptures saying that the 10 commandments is part of the whole one package given to Moses but not one scripture saying it was they are categorized into this and that....it's true some are ceremonial and some dietary etc but when the Apostles debate in Acts, the debate for gentiles not to be under the law was a whole, not just some. So now, you as a Christian, when you don't commit adultery (one of the 10 commandments); that's not because the 10 commandments said so but because you have the Holy Spirit in you just like Joseph before the 10 commandments came. It is the Spirit guiding and teaching you now not the 10 commandments.

Exod. 24:12: “Then the LORD said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”

Was this the whole of the law, or part of this? Of course it was all, that was 613 Commandments, not only 10. Here Moses is commissioned to teach them , this is why they are called Moses' law.

Deut. 31:26: “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;” The 10 commandments are included in chapter 5 of Deuteronomy.

Finally, we have discussed this topic too well too on this forum just like tithes. You don't need 10 commandments to guide you as a Christian, you now have the Holy Spirit in you guiding and teaching you beyond the codes of 10 commandments.

Ten Commandments: It was for a people whose heart did not understand righteousness. It was a law concerning righteousness. Moses Law on the other hand, was ceremonial in nature and it was a law concerning wickedness and sin.

Though men lived the Ten Commandments before it was given, it had to be given to people bereft of righteousness and the knowledge of a righteous God.

Brother, you're still shooting yourself in the feet....lol. If the 10 commandments was for people whose heart did not understand righteousness, now that you and me understand this righteousness, what then you need it, the 10 commandments for?

Moses law was never divided into ceremonial etc, it was given as whole one package. If you know a scripture that divided Moses law into ceremonial and other parts, bring it let's see.

You are wrong concerning the bolden. The Ten Commandments are referred to as the Law of God and can never be abolished. His Law is everlasting; and in contrast with the Law of Moses which is temporary.

It is fact and truth that people lived upright before the 10 commandments so what was the usefulness of 10 commandments if there was upright men before the 10 commandments was given?

You're absolutely right but that's one of the on-going fight against wrong doctrine in the body of Christ. Most pastors when it comes to Mosaic they say we're not under the law but still turn around to use Malachi for tithe....we are not under the law mean exactly what it say, and no part of it should be returned to including the 10 commandments.

Deuteronomy 22; 23-29.
23. If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her,
24. you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.
25. But if out in the country a man happens to meet a young woman pledged to be married and rapes her, only the man who has done this shall die.
26. Do nothing to the woman; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like that of someone who attacks and murders a neighbor,
27. for the man found the young woman out in the country, and though the betrothed woman screamed, there was no one to rescue her.
28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered,
29. he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

Christians are NO LONGER UNDER THE MOSAIC LAW....Get your bible study right! However, when anyone rapes, such person should face the law of the land wherever they live. You can be morally upright without the Mosaic law and you can be immoral without the Mosaic law and be punished without the Mosaic law.

What OP, is saying, don't just speak out only when its about a black man being violated, abused, dehumanised et cetera but talk also of when other races are subjected to such treatment.

All lives, whether pink, green, purple et cetera matters

That's exactly my thoughts in the OP, not just because he's a black man. All lives matter! Some of these white people (not all) thinks this country is for them alone. The racial injustice against the black communities simply clear that it could have being done against any race and it should be condemned in all aspects.

Also, I was thinking what's the essence of screaming pro live in America society while we watch full grown adults being murdered in day light but don't have legislation against such acts? On top of that, the man was unarmed and doesn't pose no treath to those 4 police officers.

It is mere hypocrisy to be pro live Christians in America to see this evil act against black and just keep quiet or be silent against such acts.
