Kobojunkie: I am convinced you are just trying to TWIST logic to score some brownie point for a policy you probably have little understanding for. Since when did FREE EQUAL Quality? Nigerians ehn!!! And you have access to tons of free dictionaries online to help you if you have problems with word comprehension. I mean come ON!
The man is giving money for "FREE" education, and some of you here are now quick to claim it is auto-magically quality, when we know that Education is a rotten state nationwide, and has been for the better part of the last 3 decades. Abeg tell them. |

@ 1Emmy Udenwa did NOTHING in his 1st term in office. All these things u reeled off were done in his 2nd term. Udenwa did not build an international stadium in orlu. He renovated an existing structure and it is not up to international standard. The international market he built in orlu was supposed to be in owerri, but he took it to his hometown. 99% of udenwa's projects were done in his home town, doesn't it look funny to you? |

drpolitics: THE DESPERATION OF ROCHAS: A HARBINGER OF DANGER I was taken aback by the glowing news of Rochas having won the Imo Guber elections. This was because, the news had made rounds on the internet and on the streets of Owerri despite it's lack of truth and obvious lack of concrete evidence from INEC who had issued no official announcement through her Resident Electoral Commission in IMO State. This got me wondering why an individual, who should be a matured politician ( having ran for all possible offices from the Presidency to the Local Government Chairman in no particular order) would descend so low as to allow himself become an object or rumour dissemination and fallacious claims. This unwarranted self-proclamatory announcement saw his army of violent supporters take to the streets of Owerri where he indeed enjoys some support. However, it is important that we make it clear that ROCHAS HAS NOT WON THE ELECTIONS (not now, now in the past and who knows maybe not in the future), as they have not been concluded and many independent observers deem it mischievous that he be parading himself as the winner of an uncompleted process. It is dangerous for democracy and an affront to the rule of Law in the land. Rochas needs to be Law abiding and shun the temptation to be dragged alongside the CPC supporters to assume victory, even as specious as it may be. He also needs to stop inciting violence in Owerri and IMO state known for her peaceful nature. On further investigation from my contacts in Imo and around the country, I found out a lot about the elections and how indeed, there were significant cases of rigging by APGA in IDEATO ( that churned out from no where a whooping 30,000 ghost votes) and other parts of Orlu zone. It is thus shameful that this same individual who was within the premises of INEC while results were being collated, sharing bribes and inciting violence, comes to the open to take on the cloak of saintliness, LET'S CALL A SPADE A SPADE, Ohakim may have offended some people but ROCHAS is not better and should in particular eschew the tendency to cause violence and malpractices in the state, APGA take note: Do what you Preach, abeg tell them. I know of 4 lga's that were massively by rochas. The money passed tru my uncle who is an apga chieftain in d state, so nobody should tell me that rochas is different. Na dem dem! |

Areosapien: Let's see 1. Ohakim scammed the youths of his state by initiating a fraudulent operation called The 10,000 Jobs Project. In this operation, he claimed he would provide jobs for 10,000 school graduates, and all they had to do was just purchase the application forms which were sold at 2,500 Naira. Help me out here - what's the product of 2,500 and 10,000? That's right - 25 million naira. He simply pocketed the cash and was never heard from again. 2. Ohakim took loans ranging from 80 to 300 billion, on the promises of developing a Tinapa-like resort called Oguta Wonder Lake. But visit the entire state and you'd find no such facility. He looted the money. 3. Ohakim took another loan ranging from 100 to 520 billion on the charade of creating a place called 'Royal Oak Refinery.' but visit the state and you'd find no such thing. He looted the cash. 4. When his insatiable greed could be contained no longer, he proceeded to selling the state's structural facilities to the UBA bank, just to collect more cash. 5. Ohakim deliberately delayed the local government chairmanship elections for 3 years. Instead, he installed his equally fraudulent lieutants on 'interim' chairmanship appointments in all the regions, while pocketing the salaries meant for democratically elected chairmen. The elections only eventually held last year, when the criticism got out of control. 6. When he saw his critics were getting vocal as the time went, he proceeded to kidnap and torture a good number of them. A fine example was a writer, Ikenna Samuelson, whom he personally brutalized at gunpoint in his executive office quarters. 7. In mid 2010, Ohakim's entourage was guilty of detaining and mercilessly beating up a reverend father to a near-death situation. His crime? He wasn't quick enough to move his car out of the massive convoy's path. 8. Ohakim's administration was known to appoint the notorious Damaco - a well known accomplice in the Otokoto cannibalistic saga and strange disappearings of 1994. 9. Ohakim's administration has resorted to massive kidnappings and shameless violence in order to silence it's opponents. And many more. lets not spew rubbish on this forum just because we hate someone Ohakim never swindled anybody. The 10,000 jobs was real. He took loans yes,but those monies are still in the govt accounts. The AG and Finance commissioner was arrested sometime last year by the Efcc on this allegation and it was found out to be false. And talking about violence,Ohakim is not the only purveyor of violence in Imo state,Rochas is also a violent man. He burned down a local newspaper (HORN)early this month for daring to publish a picture of him(rochas) in an ogboni attire. |

Lagosboy: Why do we as a nation hate to hear the truth!! why are we tribalising issues here. Nigerians are tired of rigging and we as Nigerians will stand up and fight for our right if this election is rigged.
How can we forget so soon that the 2007 election that brought GEJ to power was massively rigged, how can we forget that 3 out of 7 judges of the supreme court passed judgements that Buhari won the election or the election was fraudulent. Yaradua only survived because 1 extra judge tilted the balance in his favor and thanks to wikileaks , Bankole revealed the 4 judges were bribed.
We want change but we are comfortable with the status quo, we might never get this opportunity again as a country to vote two honest men into power. Men who are not using stolen money to campaign. GEJ is using our money, Ribadu is using Lagos states money Tinubu stole.
Bakare has only revealed the true picture of things on ground in the north. The north voted Buhari in 2003 , the electionw as rigged and Buhari calmed things down, The north voted Buhari in 2007 even with Atiku contesting and election was rigged again. Buhari went to court and calmed the streets. If it is rigged again it is not about Buhari calming the people because this is not about Buhari but about us as Nigerians.
PDP bribe judges, ACN bribe judges only Buhari doesnt and he has not won cases. We the people will fight for our right.
SAI BUHARI , and Buhari is using threats and violence to campaign! None of the plotical parties have come out with a clear cut manifesto on how to improve the fortunes of the country if elected. How sure are u that Buhari won't be as "clueless" as GEJ? |
