It is a flagship for crying out loud, it should be premium. They should start by using OLED display, I mean who still uses ips panels for flagship? It is so 2014. If that would bump the price up by $50 or thereabout, still very fine. They should take a look at what oneplus is doing in this segment, cheaper than S8, Pixel etc but still hold its own every year. This cost cutting is really killing them.

And that display should be QHD, long overdue.

Oh! Any theme that doesn't support 5x5 or 5x6 layout isn't my type of theme. That's y I'm glued with dark extended (5x6) and Galaxy note 7 (5x5). Funny thing is, they don't show the grid layout option in the settings.

Was able to confirm yesterday that the 5x5 grid and other grid options are made available by some themes, couldn't find it with default theme.
First screenshot is default theme.

Have not used the Memt x5 but reviews give it a slight lead. We should not forget that the quality of sound output also depends on the source.

Gptech, me no see anything spectacular about this China BETA ROM o. Only features noticed so far are:
Test Network/WLAN network diagnostics feature
Turn OFF App vault
Automated tasks still retained unlike Global BETA
MIUI Lab, and of course,
It's pre-rooted ROM.
Ama go back to ma Global BETA.
The Music app is totally different from Global. You are practically only while using it except you tweak it. Can download musics and lyrics(chinko music's o) and all.
Themes and fonts on Theme store ain't for me!! Can't find any of these our fun/black themes and fonts there. It practically deleted my Global BETA favourited themes.

Ama go back to my BETA ROM

I forgot to add, seems RAM is better optimised unlike Global

Oppo and Huawei used to be direct competitors some 3-4 years ago. How they allowed xiaomi to now control the midrange market segment is beyond me. At least competition is good for us consumers

Thanks for the suggestions. The owner is a lady who would not like to go through the process of setting up her phone afresh. Moreover, I read a post online of someone who did a reset and the problem persisted. Hopefully, it will be fixed in the next update.

Definitely a bug, an update should fix it.

Thou my smart fones are not used for recieving calls thou,i av a special trustworthy nokia torch light fone for that

Why not just turn off all notification sounds, me I hate those noisy notification sound too, very annoying.
