iceking4: Good day guys, please I bought new redmi note 13 just 4days ago, after the first charge I noticed it drops to 98 % in 1minute. And the battery doesn't seem to last long. I have charged it to 100% again, but it's sparely taking me the whole with mild use ( no games, no movie, music etc). I don't know if it's a factory issue or maybe a setting I need to change. Pls help me Update your phone if you haven't done so. Post the battery usage here let's see. |

monshow25: boss what is the difference between the EU roms and global roms and hope it's safe to use here in Nigeria. I don't have any issues with the phone so far just asking to know more about it should incase I want to purchase another xiaomi device for myself or friends EU roms are basically thesame as global roms. In some cases like yours updates will come slower. There may be some restrictions too due to European strict laws, so its better your new device comes with the global rom. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 4:52pm On May 27, 2024 |
monshow25: can you help me to confirm the ROM through the screenshot This rom is a European rom from a carrier likely from France. Like someone suggested, change your region to France, reboot your phone and check for updates again.

SirJerrie: Thanks alot...
Already start the process. I was asked to keep an active Mi Community account for more than 30 days before I apply "Bootloader Unlock"
I'll just have to wait it out till this time next month.
I selected the "Global HyperOS 1.0.3.0.UMOMIXM" for the Global Rom and it brought me to this page below (see attached picture.)
Am I to download the 3 files (Recovery ROM, Fastboot ROM, OTA Update)? or just the first 2 with the word "ROM"? Hope you don't find this question silly... Ion know how these things work. For this case it is the fastboot rom you need. I will advise you download the miui 14 rom, later you can update to hyper os |

SirJerrie: Good morning. Please what app/site is this?
I'd like to flash my Redmi too. But the bootloader is still locked.
Can I flash a stock rom without unlocking the bootloader?
If No, how can I go about unlocking the bootloader without issues? And How can I find/select an Original Rom that would work well?
Currently I can't receive OTA You'll need to unlock bootloader to flash any rom. https://miuirom.org/phones/redmi-note-12-proYou'll need to do some reading before flashing. https://roms.miuier.com/en-us/devices/ruby |

Please any solution to this ? First, confirm that your bootloader is unlocked. You can easily check by rebooting your phone, if you see an opened padlock when the redmi logo comes up, then its unlocked |

Cyril009: My Redmi 9s had a weak battery Started rebooting itself on Sunday so I changed it yesterday
But the rebooting hasn't stopped after changing the battery
It was fine all through yesterday after changing the battery and this morning...
The battery hold powers,so it's probably not the battery
Started rebooting again this afternoon.. When it started this afternoon thought it was the power flex but It's doesn't reboot when turned off
It's reboot stays on for at most three minutes then goes off Rebooting takes about 30 seconds
while it doing all that it gets warm enough that you don't want to place on bare skin it also gets slow and hangs
Any help 🙏🏾🙇🏾♂️ Flash the rom or do a factory reset. |

Musty4ahmed1: It's for media work, to cover event and take quality pictures and videos in low light areas. Yes I asked similar question, the phone I later got did not give me what I want, in fact the picture quality of the phone reduced drastically within the shortest time. Its a very wrong move to even think of using a phone to cover an event. People who own the best phones in the world pay huge sums to cover their events, have you thought about this? No one will pay you money to cover an event if they know you'll use a phone for the job. |

Musty4ahmed1: Please I need your response, a good camera phone that can take good pictures in low light areas and also shoot a quality video like 4k. What exactly do you need it for? I see that you already asked about cameras for similar purpose. There are areas phones cannot just compete with professional cameras. |

Mrviktor: What of battery life..can one get up to 7 hours And camera also ..is it good The Mi 11 was not about camera, so dont bother about that but it should be decent for day to day use. As for battery, you know usage pattern is different right? Just get it if you see a good deal. |

Seyilome: My ogas ,Genius43 , Gptech ,Pls I need a name of apk that will say the watt of charger (adapter) , cos I bought a 45w charger, and I want to really know if the watt is truly 45w Na Ampere I still dey use ooo. You can at least see the charging current there. Mind you, dont just get any 45 watt charger out there, they dont work as intended for all devices I think because of proprietory ish. A Samsung 45W charger for example, was only delivering around 22.5W to the Mi 11 ultra when tested. To enjoy the advertised charging speed of your devices , especially from over 30Watts , its better to go for the oem charger for your device. |

seanwilliam: Hello guys please can you recommend a generator that can power the following efficiently 1. 2split ac 1.5 hp 2.1 Fridge 3. One standard industrial fan 4. Blender 5. Washing machine
Note I want a gen that can carry 1,2,3 simultaneously.. Budget is 400/500k.. Been thinking of Sumec or thermocool U can post the pics too. Thanks.. At least 6.25kva will do, that's 5000/5500W (run/start). With the current situation of Nigeria, expect to double your budget.

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 4:42pm On Apr 13, 2024 |
dvkot: I understand what you are saying and your experience is probably because you used mi11 ultra Well the phone is a beast no doubt about that, but sd 888 is not what what give it the hd screen or qhd I believe. But then again I would pick Samsung note 20ultra over mi11 ultra... Samsung floors it in all camera, performance, screen expect battery and I think both phones are the same price range Well, I was not comparing the screen of the Mi 11 ultra to another phone, was talking about screen resolution in general, phones, tvs, etc. Regarding the note 20 ultra versus Mi 11 ultra, personal opinions about camera performance is always there, but the performance of the 11 ultra is definately better. |

Seyilome: For me o, I have gone for mi 11. I have vowed never to use redmi note series again, after using mi 11 lite 5g. Talking about build quality, you'll notice the difference between a flagship and a midrange device in just a few months time. The materials,be it glass are not of the same quality at all. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 4:24pm On Apr 13, 2024 |
dvkot: stop saying that... chipset has gotten to a point where little improvement are not noticable sd865 can do anything 888 can do even dimensity sef.
Year after year of chipset Is not improvement neither is it superiority. As for the heating on 888 not it's not like something the same as other chipset heating issues, and to be fair xiaomi did not suffer hugh from that like the way Samsung s21 series did.
Xiaomi has a good heat management just like OnePlus but that doesn't mean it didn't suffer it too.
Like I said sd865 is a wayyy better chipset than sd888 and gen 1 I would rather buy Samsung note 20ultra than sd 888 or gen1 powered phone matter of fact if you give me a s20ultra and xiaomi 13 I would pick the Samsung, except of course it's mi13 ultra. I believe that if you use the 888 for some days, then return back to the likes of 865, you'll immediately notice the difference. Those days, I used to argue not seeing the difference between HD ready and full Hd screens too. |

Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 4:18pm On Apr 13, 2024 |
dvkot: sd888 suckes I also thought so, until I handled the Mi 11 ultra. Current user is impressed with both battery life and performance. He was coming from the snapdragon 865 too. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Gptech(m): 3:09pm On Apr 13, 2024 |
dvkot: lol... dimensity is a really good chipset una just dey look down on am and I used to be among the people that do criticize it but to be honest it's crazy good and their heat management is good if not better than some sd and google tensor (I have also used a pixel phone) I think xiaomi using the chipset on the performance model of their flagship (T,series) and the pro version of the RN is something you should really think about.
I used mi11, mi11t and pixel 6 and
If I'm to give a winner in performance and battery it is mi11t but camera sucks
For camera it's pixel 6 but performance sucks
If you want a little bit of both a performance that's not as good as the mi11t but doesn't sucks and a camera not as good as pixel 6 but doesn't sucks then mi11 is your choice I want to believe you mean the balance of performance and battery management is better with the Mi 11t . Using the Mi 10 and Mi 11 ultra for about a week, the performance difference was evident in day to day use. That's SD 865 versus 888. |
