Disappoint because of what? Are we your brothers, or are we siamese twins, why must we do what you people do or vote for your party? Y'll get to vote for the party of your choice in your states and we Yorubas don't care, we demand that you don't care about us too, the election is all about ondo and extension Yoruba, so let us enjoy the actions. No b outsiders go dey tell us what or how to do things.

OH, so you agree markets don't contribute nada to Lagos revenue? Prove it to me the tribe that dominates the formal economy in Lagos. Tech? Civil service? Schools? Fmcg companies? Name them.

Mind you the lower Niger is bigger than Yoruba land.
Who wants to be brothers with the poorest people in the South!!!
Who wants to be brothers with backstabbers and Cowards!!!
Who wants to be brothers with the tribe that has the highest number of unemployed youths and agberos!!!
Koshi jare!!
We should be the one staying clear from in pests like you,not the other way round!!!
Stay off our affairs. Stay off our polticis, stay off our land, stay off our schools. Just as we don't attend your schools, we don't come to your land, do not come to ours too. We are not part of your South and we have consistently showed you with our voting patterns, our politics, our way of life, our religious belief system. Fuccking face your regions.

You should be ashamed of your state and your region in general, when the South South and South East are trying to scrap out godfatherism, your state is trying to retain Tinubu and other of your stupid godfather's in the West.
For your info, no state in the South South or South East is static in politics like your region, we don't uplift godfathers and we are not afraid like you guys to attack godfather's with our votes

Lower Niger no be Yorubaland!!!
We are not Afraid of anything!!
We ain't Cowards!!!
We ain't Conservative!!!!
Of course your bloody lower Niger is not Yorubaland. Yorubas have nothing to do with you lots whether culturally, historically, or politically. And that's why we mind our business and don't give a ratass about the boring politics of your tiny region. Unlike you lots who can't seem to stop meddling in our politics, I can see you have started exempting Oyo state from your madness, mind you Oyo state is fullYoruba a state and aligns with Yoruba course whenever it matters.
Face your region with its politics and let's do ours too we are not you, you are not us, we are not your brothers, we are not related to you lots. Fuccking Muppets!!

That's the fact!!
Take it or leave it!!
The IGR in Lagos is mostly from SS and SE dominated markets.

Lmao. Why can't you pay such a huge IGR in your regions then? FYI, 80% of Lagos IGR comes from the formal economy, that's the corporate sectors like banks, civil service, insurance companies etc. Markets contribute less than a year 20%to Lagos IGR.

bowing down does not in any way mean u are respectful and definitely not the only way to show respect
Respect is earned... everyone (baby, child, older, younger) deserves respect.

nobody kicks anyone in Igbo land.... if u want respect you earn it... and we only bow to God
I respect others and their culture and I know how yorubas like and show respect (even the fake respect too)....
however, the fact that others don't behave or think like u doesn't make u or your ways better. Have a nice day
Y'll insecure outsiders should freaking face your fuccking region. Respect is part of our culture whether it's earned or not is not anybodys fuccking business. When did we ever ask others to behave like us? Laycon bowed to oluomo wolho is older than him but y'll came here to come rant, how does it concern you? Both laycon and oluomo are Yorubas, how is that supposed to be you people's headache. If y'll like stop boring to God and start bowing to Satan, nobody gives a ratass. That's how y'll scream egalitarian society bla bla bla, you have no king bla bla yet you meddle into the affairs of the royalty of others, when Sanusi was removed, na una make noise pass despite not knowing any shit about royalties.

I have travelled far and wide in the West, I have been to most your villages and I can't remember the last time I saw a block house in any of your Villages. Let's face the fact, how is Yorubas dominated areas in Lagos? Let's look at the living conditions of people in Mushin, Ajegunle, Agege and Shibiri. You don't have shame at all. The bulk of Internally generated Revenue of Ojo Local Government comes from Alaba International and International Trade fair, all these are Igbo dominated markets. Are we going to talk about Idumota? Are we going to talk about the IGR from Ladipo? Are we going to talk about the IGR from Corporate businesses owned by the Igbos? Next time don't under estimate the contributions of the Igbos and Hausas to the IGR of Lagos State.
Isn't it ironic that you claim to contribute that much to Lagos yet y'll couldn't do the same with your states? It's only logical that if you generate such huge numbers in Lagos, then your states where y'll make up 99.9%of the population should be generating far more than what Lagos generates. How come y'll have not been able to do that? I thought y'll constitute the highest populationin Lagos, how come Yorubas are the ones living in those areas in Lagos? After all y'll claim to be 80% of lagos population. What about living conditions of Ibo dominated area like festac, okoko, orile, how far with those ones?

dead on arrival! Osinbajo can never get any support from South East and South South because he never deserved it. he should get his support from only Southwest.

So far as 2023 Presidential Election is concerned, Osinbajo is on his own because 2023 belongs to Igbo or North can continue ruling the country.

Any Yoruba man that comes out for 2023 President is an enemy of Igbo, and should be dealt with at the polls. South East and South South are out to deal with any Yoruba Politician that messes up with Igbo.

One Nigeria!!!
And I can't remember the last time Osinbajo sought for your so called SE and SS support. Osinbajo doesn't need it. Y'll noisemakers said the same thing about Buhari too, Buhari eventually proved that your so called SS and SE is irrelevant to Nigerian politics and Osinbajo would be a compound fool to rely on 5% support. If you understand Yoruba, I would have recite ewi Asegbe for you.

Everything the West did during the Biafran war is Asegbe, and there is nothing you all can do about it.

Just accept your fate and see that as part of your history and move on.

Remember, your ancestors carefully masterminded a lot of wrong leading into 1967 and the Karma reared its head on their offsprings.

Actions beget consequences, so think before taking decisions.

Lastly, you condemn Nigeria for massacre, have you forgotten you Igbos also massacred some of the SS’ner tribes?

Don't mind the fool. Germany, France, UK etc with so much atrocities that has killed hundreds of millions of people are still some of the most prosperous nations on earth. Since the beginning of time, MIGHT MAKES RIGHT!!.

One thing I don't like about Oyo state governors both past and present is that they are too "ibadancentric", they hardly do anything meaningful for other parts of the state. Look at the Ogun state projects the other guy posted, we have seen pictures of Ota, sagamu, ijebu ode and Abeokuta, Oyo state is only always ibadan, no wonder ibadan is disproportionately far more developed than other parts of the state.

wink2015:

THE WORD YORUBA MUSLIMS became prominent because of their influencial role in the federal government of Nigeria both positively and negatively.

From the governmental perspectives, Yoruba muslims ( quite a sizeable number of them ) have been subjugating SOUTHERN UNITY and solidarity in favour of their friends in the core north with whom they share religious connection and that has been setting Nigeria "s drive towards a restructured state quite very frustrating.

BECAUSE OF RELIGION, yoruba muslims are betraying their fellow southerner to the northerners.

The northerners have rewarded these group of yoruba muslims with positions in the federal government, federal parastatals, the security agencies etc.

INFACT, NO GOVERNMENT COMES INTO PLAY IN NIGERIA WITHOUT A SIGNIFICANT YORUBA MUSLIMS INSIDE THE GOVERNMENT.

IT CAN BE REASON THAT ONE OF THE CRITERIA FOR GETTING A HIGH LEVEL POLITICAL POSITIONS OR NON POLITICAL POSITIONS FROM A NORTHERNER IS THAT YOU MUST BE A YORUBA MUSLIMS.

Even federal government contracts that is managed by a northern political leaders also silently put that clause as one the major criteria for giving jobs to a contractor.

In conclusion, yoruba muslims particularly from the SOUTH WEST have not yet shaken off their SLAVERY MENTALITY towards the core north.

WHEN THE SOUTH WANT TO SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE, the yoruba muslims comes in with their factor to water down the whole process.

It is also on record that it was the Yoruba muslims of the South West that connived with the core north to bring down the government of President Jonathan.

Balderish!!! First of all, there is nothing like "southern unity" because your so called South was never one and can never be, basically because we are all different in the so called south, historically, culturally and in all facets of life. And whether you like it or not, the so called Yoruba Muslims have the rights to do whatever they like as indeed the whole Yoruba race, so spare us the betrayal bullshit, I can't remember our ancestors signing a pact with your ancestors as to how to behave in this entity called Nigeria,we have never worked together and never will, the sky is big in enough for everyone to fly. Slavery you say?? It seems you are suffering from selective amnesia, when y'll were frolicking with the north in the first and second republics it wasn't slavery, huh? Suddenly, it's now slavery. Like i said earlier, no tribe can dictate to anyone as to how to behave politically in Nigeria, if you are pained, sorry nigger, sick it up. When y'll enjoyed the largesse of government under Jonathan, you gave the Yorubas middle finger , I can show you a thread on nairaland about that if you want, y'll didn't remember southern unity then, but you want unity now, e no go better for southern unity.
