Planning on taking such chances myself, the worst is I won't get checked in. It won't kill me
You can try, but the worst that can happen is you checking-in successfully from Nigeria, lands in Canada and you’re denied entry.

My bro/sis, please if you want to take this risk, Book an approved hotel for your Quarantine plan (14 days). You don’t have to pay online, you can just add your card and they are not going to charge you, You are going to pay at check-in. Just don’t give the Immigration any reason to have a long conversation with you.

Oh okay, thank you for the update.
But I have read and watched some YouTube videos and accepts it, but you may have to freeze it and make sure you close it tightly.

Put palm oil in a hard plastic bottle like a flask, not soft plastic like bottled water. seal tight and pack along with clothes
What will happen if I pack it with the other food items ?

I’m sure that they will just restrict non essential travel. They will probably still let in students and their spouses (cause that is considered essential travel).
I pray.

This is my Greatest Fear....0 social life!
Eventually, Due to lack of being socially Savvy and experienced in Women, one will not be able to Know the Good one from the Not so good one...

and if one wifes a Bad one, all the Academic Efforts and Scarifies to Attain Wealth will be frustrated ....even to Zero!

there must be a way to balance all these parts!

Are you a Front End Guy OR full Stack?
I can understand your fear, but if you Love something; Go for it.

I am full stack.

Bros, You mean you still have a Great Social life...like Dating and Outings....weekend Trips....together with Programming?

how do you do it.....

i need some Heads-up on how you manage the Time
I don’t have a Social life at all, I don’t go out at all, except to get food and fuel, and more importantly go to Church.
I have just learnt to balance my life around programming.

True.
It takes sacrifice.

I am a chemical engineer.
And when I get back home from work at 9pm, I still sit down and code till 11pm before I sleep and wake up by 4:30am.

Every freaking day.

When I am at work, any free chance I get, I practice on my phone.

Yes brother, that’s what it takes, Consistency !!

Me and them are not the same. i love what i do and i enjoy every bit of it. i want 100% concentration. i don't want to drink and get hang over and the next day i can't demo anything. i demo my work daily. so everyday i have to put in the work. yes your top programmers can but i can't and i don't want to
Brother, I am not encouraging anyone to be an alcoholic or a chain smoker, I am only telling you that what really matters is Balancing, The primitive lifestyle of programmers is that a programmer cannot have a Girlfriend, now we have happily married programmers, The world is evolving, no matter how drunk you think you can be, you can still become a programmer. 3hrs everyday consistently is enough, even 1hr of learning everyday is enough for you,

You see part of the reasons why we encourages people to post their Timeline.

I wish you Goodluck mate !

They don't know, they only want the money but don't know the pains that comes with it. i sacrifice alot of stuff to get to where i am. no alcohol, no social life etc. it's all for the greater good. they are days i wish i didnt follow these path and it's too late to turn back so i keep push. 4 years down the line i still feel i know nothing
Brother, I am a programmer myself, been doing this since 16yo, the Top programmers I know takes alcohol and smokes, programming in this modern age is a lifestyle, you’ve just got to balance everything.

If you are not ready to dedicate a part of your Life to this Craft, you ain’t going to Where.

Ghost Update:
once an application was opened or touched by a VO, an application/profile update appears on GCkeys. Once you see it and log in, nothing changes and it goes back to application submitted. That's what is called ghost update. What that means is that a VO cleaned the back soot covering your application grin grin grin and will be back to it. Summarily, Ghost update means that even though it looks like nothing is going on, underground(behind the scene evaluation is going on)

During my time, I noticed 4 or so ghost update. I don't know who coined that name but that's what we came onboard to meet. So most times when an application has stayed long without any sign, we pray for a ghost update to feel that at least our application isn't forgotten.
Apt !

Hi guys.

I really appreciate the work y'all do here. I've been a silent reader and I've learnt so much from this platform.

I'm pleased to say that I got my PPR last week.

However, I have a question.

How can someone show proof of funds when asked at the Point of Entry (POE) into Canada?

All the funds I need are in my sponsor's account. Should I just print his bank statements and letter of sponsorship or transfer the funds to my account?

Please treat as urgent. Thanks.

Based on what I have read on this Thread, they don’t always ask for POF at POE, But incase they do, the print out of the Bank statement of your sponsor and the Letter of sponsorship is going to work.

Goodluck mate !

No, he did not inform us when he got the PPR, he only shared the timeline just because he wanted to ask a question.

I mean it’s not even a big deal. Just tell us when u submitted and the documents attached. Humans are ridiculous sometimes.
It is not a big deal at all, that’s what will keep this Thread alive, it helps others to be able to speculate and estimate their possibly PPR dates. Something that will not take 30mins to compose. Our people can just be ridiculous.

Here we go again. Another one that’s gets ppr and only comes back when they have a question. The reason we ask you guys to drop your timeline is to continue to encourage others still waiting for theirs.
Terrible behavior, they only want to Receive and not Give, Only those with a grateful heart takes their time to Sow where they have Received, no matter how little they must have Received.
