Please can someone help me with the breakdown of the actual POF for my spouse and 4 kids. And also what category of visa should I apply for them given that my course is for one year(12 months) .
N/B : I already have my study visa.

I received the notes on Thursday.
It was the same generic reason of “ The applicants assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the purpose of travel for the applicant and any other accompanying family member(s) if applicable”. The other reason was “No parental consent”.

To start with, do you intend to go to Canada with your husband or just the kids?
Also, is there a reason you didn’t apply for study permit for the 3 older kids?

You can use your husband's company and other available assets as home ties.
I suggest you move the funds to your individual/joint account, not a company account.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. Initially I intended to go with my kids alone because I needed to use my husband as our home tie then I will put in his own application when I get to Canada. As it is ,I will like to include him in the next application and use assets as economic ties.
In my initial application, I applied for a vv for the kids but in the second application i applied for a SP for the three older kids and a vv for the youngest.

what was the reason for refusal? i will advise you receive GCMS note before re applying. There seem to be so much money available to you as a family. Did you write a letter of explanation on the origin of the POF?

I have ordered for GCMS notes on Monday. And I didn’t write an explanation on the source of the funds . I assumed that since it was a business account and I have provided all the necessary papers for the business, I didn’t need to explain. I’m only just knowing that I should have explained the source of funds properly.

I thought as much that it was a one year course, it reduces the chances of dependents coming with you. It will be unlikely that they will even approve for those two. The problem is not the money.

Does this mean that for someone studying a one year course, it is impossible to bring your dependents with you? I’ve seen two family applications that were approved for an applicant who is studying a one year course.

You are super lucky you already have yours approved. Firstly, what is the duration of your course? I will advise you travel first and then later work out how your family join you. You should have applied for VV for only the 4 and 1 year, leave the other two. If you persist on the whole family at this rate you might get your study permit reversed.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. My course is for one year. It has actually crossed my mind to apply for the younger two kids. I just wanted to know if there’s any possibility of applying as a family so I can weigh my options before reapplying.

I really need your suggestions. I applied for study visa for myself and VV tor my 4 kids (9,7,4 and 1) on the 4th September 2022, mine was approved on 28th September while my kids applications were all refused based on lack of financial assets. (POF was 36mil although 23mil was in my husbands company account and others spread across his 3 personal savings account). We reapplied on 28th October with more funds (42mil but we had recently moved 28million from company account to his personal savings account a week prior to this and had 14 million in his 2 personal savings accounts ) we also got a notarized letter of sponsorship stating that he will pay our bills. We got my youngest child on a daycare waitlist too. We got another set of refusals on 25th November. We have ordered for GCMS notes on Monday the 28th of November. Please when we are reapplying , what can we do differently. Should we include my husband in the new application? We didn’t include him in the first two applications because of the issue of home ties. What category of visa should we apply for him and our kids this time?
What explanation can be used to demonstrate why the whole family is suddenly applying? ( I stated in the letter of explanation for the second refusal that he is very busy and travels a lot hence my decision to go with my kids). Thanks as i anticipate your response �

Hello fruitful ladies in the house,Happy Mothers Day to us all. I have been a silent follower of this thread. I used to post on the TTC thread but at a point, I got discouraged and stopped posting though I was still an ardent follower.I want to share my testimony here to encourage every woman who's still trusting God and also the women who are at one stage or the other in their IVF journey to believe God cos he only is d giver of children. I was diagnosed with blocked tubes tru laparoscopy after trying unsuccessfully for two years. I went online and read up on ART but I didn't bother suggesting it to DH cos he always sd that I was being to anxious and impatient. To cut d long story short, my hubby got to hear of IVF and didn't mind giving it a try. We heard from a friend who has twins via ivf at a center at nnewi anambara state called Life Specialist hospital. Everything was to cost 600k. To tell u how God works, every single penny of the money was paid by our family(his & mine), I responded well to all d shots for down reg and stimming and 10eggs were retrieved out of which 6 were fertilized. A day after d ER I took ill out of nowhere. I was so ill dt I had to be given several drips, injections & tabs to get my fever down. I refused to be discouraged and went ahead with the ET. 3 embies were transferedt(5 days blastocysts). The illness kept getting worse but I rememeber singing one song subconsiously "who can battle with the lord(3x), I say nobody. I travelled back home the day after my ET and was driven straight into another clinic where I was given more & more drips & injections due to high fever. I still kept trusting God dt all the drugs that was been pumped into my system won't stop my testimony. I eventually recoverd during d 2ww and just ate pineapple core for 5days and also avoided sugar. Exactly 10days into d 2ww, DH who's always impatient forced me to test & low and behold it was there,bfp. I was in shock,speechless nd marvelled at d wonder of our God.it was obvious to everyone that if not that God had caused it to be, It won't have been. Not only did he put d devil to shame, we found out that we are having twins who are seriously kicking me now. D journey has been so easy & smooth and we can wait to hold our babies in our arms. God is faithful to keep his promises to us, all we need to do is to trust him completely. Congrats to all preggy mama's in d house and goodluck to all who are on their IVF journey. God bless us all.

@ Mrs Chima, if not all women are meant to have children, why did God say "Neither male nor female shall be barren amongst you" why not "Some shall be barren amongst you" God has made every woman equally fruitful that's why we were all born with our reproductive organs complete to fulfil God's command(Be fruitful and multiply). Delay isn't denial. Every woman longs to experience the process of conception to delivery. Adoption is certainly an option but not without exploring other possibilities of having a child of your own. It brings a sense of fulfillment and adequacy as a woman. Please ladies let's get back to the essence of this thread.

@Genbuhari, I'm short of words to express how sad I feel about your loss. But I know that God doesn't make mistakes and he has done his will. He will console you and your lovely wife & replenish her strenght. God is ever faithful to bless you again and dis time,no sorrow shall be added to it. @ Aladunni, I think you should really try flushing aka hydrotubation. You can suggest it to your new gynae.its success depends on the type of blockage.I had my lap done at awka in anambara state.it was a personal arrangement. I could have done it at teaching hospital cos all ob/gyn dept in teaching hospitals are equipped to carry out a lap but I wasn't ready for their protocol. Congrats to all who have got their bfp's. God is surely at work with all of us and he isn't through with this thread yet.To all the mothers to be,I'm sending a truck load of baby dust your way. Update:the new RE I had been seeing for a few moths now looked at my HSG result and felt it was misleading and both tubes were blocked as there was no evident spill of of dye from the Xray film. He suggsted repeated flushing to unblock the tubes. He had only flushed once when he sd the tubes were open. DH personally requested dt he repeat it but he said it wasn't necessary. I had a laparoscopy to ascertain the real state of my tubes & d result was there"bilateral tubal occlusion" though he said the blockage can be cleared as it didn't get to my cervix. I was advised to. Either keep repeating the flushing or opt for IVF. DH prefers the IVF route but I'm a bit skeptical as I didn't know that it will ever get to this.in all I'm still very hopeful and still expecting a miracle from God. @abigoma, I guess I was misinformed about the function of clomid.,I have a very low tolerance level to the side effects so I don't think I'll be taking it again(hopefully). A big Amen to the holding my twins soon part.

@champs, I strongly believe that very soon all this will be over & we will all be wonderful moms.I admire your never say never attitude to ttc. God will surely show up for us all very soon. Am in my two week wait hoping dt dis is the month. A new cycle just means a new oppurtunity for you

I really thank Arlington for starting dis TTC thread and every wonderful mom or mom-to-be who has kept this thread alive.here is my story: am in my mid 20's and have been married for 16months now.5 months into our marraige I got really worried and went to a gynae for assistance,without any medical examinations or cycle monitoring,I was placed on clomid for 2months(100g)each month.I already ovulate regularly and the clomid only caused me to have severe ovarian pain and changed my 28-day cycle. After dt experience I decided to relax and trust God.when we hit the one year mark of ttc.we went back to get help.we were sent for several test including a semen analysis for my hubby and hsg and hormonal tests for me. All the results came back okay but the HSG suggested a blockage in my left tube. I was now placed on 150mg of clomid for another 2months to help me ovulate on bothsides so that I can ovulate with the right tube. I was monitored on the first cycle and four mature follicles were observed: 2 on the left and 2 on the right but still I didn't conceive instead I had excrutiating pains in my ovaries dt my hubby said I'll no longer tk clomid. My sister in law introduced us to a massage lady who gave us some herbs to drink and gave me a massage but still I didn't concieve. Inbtwn, I have taken pregnacare vitamins,b complex, vitamin E and folic acid tabs at one point of my treatment or another.Now I have gone to register in a fertility clinic and the doctor who examined me can't seem to know why I am not conceiving. My best friend who has very irregular period of which she could go a month or two with no AF concieved the next month after her wedding. Am truly happy for her but I constantly feel pain in my heart dt I have to go through this ordeal. All d brides who wedded same day as I did at my church are all mothers now.I have decided that am bowing out and leaving it for God. I am weary from crying and moving from one state of anxiety into another state of depression. I just felt I should share my story . Baby dust to all you courageous women who are TTC.
