tanidabi: @ arisolama I do not know much abt fibroid but I've heard that when you take it out u shld try and get preggo within six months I do not believe u shld wait for more than 3mths cos a family friend of mine removed a myomar from her womb and started ivf 6 weeks later, the baby is 2yrs old now but I think you shld ask an IVF specialist to be double sure
do d test again on monday nd it will be positive InshaAlllah (amin)

@tani, pls continue with your medications and eating habits religiously because there have been cases of bins which were neglected and they actually turned out to be positives much later. Those ppl miscarried eventually because their doctors asked them to stop all medications.pls do not stop them yet, ejo my sister. We shall all rejoice with you and YOU shall bear your children and breast-feed them yourself in Jesus name! This journey can be quite demanding and exhaustive but God, we shall all be victorious. Am still praying for your bfp.

Good evening all. I just joined the site officially, however I have been following this topic for a while. It's so great and glad to know that there is a place we can come to for support and seek advise. The spirit of oneness here is so overwhelming that I feel like a part already before signing up.

Am starting my treatment on Monday with Dr Emeka - whom I got to know thru this blog. Our first meeting and we were glued and didn't go anywhere else.

My dear sisters and brother, please keep me in prayers as I commence same as am sure The Lord will do the unimaginable with this 1st cycle. Anyone starting on Monday too so we can be buddies and keep in touch to compare notes.

I strongly believe my prayers are answered already and can't wait for my BFP.

Baby dust to y'all.......... Have a lovely weekend.

@Tanidabi I also advice that U take to natural supplements and immune boosters a lot cuz I learnt all things being equal in IVF ur immune system has a very great impact on the success.U can take pregnacare conception,it really helps and this immune booster 'Jobelyn'its very effective,I've been on them for about 8months now IVF or no IVF, I'm also looking for this supplement 'Baby and Me' wholefood supplement but don't know where to get it, I learnt I have to order online.pls while trying make sure u are religiously on fertility supplements, they help! Let's try our best while God is helping us.Baby dust!

Happy Mothers Day to you all!

I don't normally post here but DH wants us to go for another tx nd this will be the 7th, lost all the excitement and will just go with the flow.I produce a lot of eggs but things seem to go downhill from there, day 3 is when the male hormones kick in and this is when we lose most of our embies.

@ Ticha you must be rattling. That's way too much vitamin to be taking. If you check the ingredient of pregnacare it's got most of vitamins in there already. Are they sure it was polyps At least you had a good clean down there!

@ Tanidabi, my heart bleeds for you. After a negative I cry for a while and then start planning another one. Easter is nearly here, just take the time out to heal who knows you might just get that BFP whilst ure chilling out.

Anyways will be posting more often but really and truly I've lost the passion.

Hello fruitful children of God. I wrote on dis thread once upon a time ago. I had a BFN in february and dat day i waited till DH went 2 work then i turned d TV volume very loud and cried until my eyes almost exploded from my head. I decided dat day 2 start taking fertility herbs which my friend's gradpa sent 2 me. Im still trusting God dat He will definitely bless my home with children in Jesus name very very soon. Staying positive has really helped me 2 see things differently and i didnt believe dat I could stay strong after such a tragic thing like a failed ivf cycle. Women are sooooo strong and i hail una(including me)! Congratulations 2 all d newest mamas and d baby bumpers! And 2 those of us waiting 4 our bumps; this is ur season and its time 2 shine again! God has declared and its up 2 us 2 claim it. Baby dust 2 us all and we will all definitely carry our little ones who will also give us sleepness nights! Happy mother's day y'all!
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by Ticha: 6:32pm On Mar 10, 2013
@ Beetle, I understand your losing the passion. There are times, I've felt someone keeps moving the goal posts on me and leave me feeling things I can't begin to describe. Hopefully, going with the flow will kick start things who knows! All the best of luck!

I am rattling seriously! I sat down with a nutritionist after months of researching online and worked out what I needed RDA wise and Pregnacare does contain some of the vitamins required but not all. We have agreed to do IVF just once so I am giving it every chance of success. If it doesn't work out, na adoption get me as I have been putting my life on hold for so long expecting a BFP which never turns up!

The radiologist was sure it wasn't fibroid and said polyps. I am glad they didn't see anything and cross at the same time. At least, I don't now have to wait the requisite 2 bleeds before continuing.

@ Olivia, keep remaining strong and positive and a mighty amen to your prayers.

It is well o! Happy Mothers's Day to all the ladies here. It is very good to prepare your body with healthy food, supplements and exercise while praying for God to bless our hardwork.
He will see us through. Personally, am not in any rush for Ivf. Am taking my time to refurbish my body after two failed cycles. Seeing a new doctor though. Eating right, taking the right supplement but we must be careful so that we don't overtake them. They might work against the success instead of helping. Try to consult our Ivf doctors before taking them. God will help us.

This God is just so wonderful oo. I went to see my doc recently to start my ivf procedure. I was amazed to hear of a woman who actually did ivf there, had 7 viable eggs at transfer, told the doc to put four embies for her and donated ONE egg to an older woman who couldnt produce any eggs. You wont believe the woman that owns the eggs had a BFN while the single egg she donated to the other woman took! The woman is over 6month preggo now ooo! I saw her and couldnt just stop wondering! To the fruitful mothers in the house, this is our year IJN

Hello fruitful ladies in the house,Happy Mothers Day to us all. I have been a silent follower of this thread. I used to post on the TTC thread but at a point, I got discouraged and stopped posting though I was still an ardent follower.I want to share my testimony here to encourage every woman who's still trusting God and also the women who are at one stage or the other in their IVF journey to believe God cos he only is d giver of children. I was diagnosed with blocked tubes tru laparoscopy after trying unsuccessfully for two years. I went online and read up on ART but I didn't bother suggesting it to DH cos he always sd that I was being to anxious and impatient. To cut d long story short, my hubby got to hear of IVF and didn't mind giving it a try. We heard from a friend who has twins via ivf at a center at nnewi anambara state called Life Specialist hospital. Everything was to cost 600k. To tell u how God works, every single penny of the money was paid by our family(his & mine), I responded well to all d shots for down reg and stimming and 10eggs were retrieved out of which 6 were fertilized. A day after d ER I took ill out of nowhere. I was so ill dt I had to be given several drips, injections & tabs to get my fever down. I refused to be discouraged and went ahead with the ET. 3 embies were transferedt(5 days blastocysts). The illness kept getting worse but I rememeber singing one song subconsiously "who can battle with the lord(3x), I say nobody. I travelled back home the day after my ET and was driven straight into another clinic where I was given more & more drips & injections due to high fever. I still kept trusting God dt all the drugs that was been pumped into my system won't stop my testimony. I eventually recoverd during d 2ww and just ate pineapple core for 5days and also avoided sugar. Exactly 10days into d 2ww, DH who's always impatient forced me to test & low and behold it was there, bfp. I was in shock, speechless nd marvelled at d wonder of our God.it was obvious to everyone that if not that God had caused it to be, It won't have been. Not only did he put d devil to shame, we found out that we are having twins who are seriously kicking me now. D journey has been so easy & smooth and we can wait to hold our babies in our arms. God is faithful to keep his promises to us, all we need to do is to trust him completely. Congrats to all preggy mama's in d house and goodluck to all who are on their IVF journey. God bless us all.

Bucacious: told the doc to put four embies for her and donated ONE egg to an older woman who couldnt produce any eggs.

OMG.
Im so sorry in advance for anyone I might offend, but I just need to say this. I read about Nigerians putting in back 4 embies just because they can.
It is wrong. I am not surprised the woman that put in 1 is pregnant. I dont know if these Nigerian doctors are not up to date with literature or they just dont care.
You put 4 embies does not mean the chances of getting pregnant is multiplied by 4. I dont think anyone wants to ttc for years and end up miscarrying cos of multiples or giving birth to preterm-premature babies that end up having brain problems, or even worse losing a baby. I have seen the effect of multiple pregnancies, the bad side, and I don't wish it on anyone not especially in Nigeria with the health care we have. A lady was carrying multiples and 1 died, and she had to kill the rest. Can you imagine, just like that, isnt that even worse than the pain of ttc? We are not animals, our body is not built to carry 4 babies, even 2 is a risk. In the US they are advocating Single Embryo Transfer (SET), because they found out that SET is more effective and safer, and live birth rate was increased.. Since many of us dont want to put back a single embryo, then do 2 please, not 4. It is for our own good and for the future of these babies.
Women over 40 are allowed to put in 4 because of the problems that comes with that age. During my IVF consult, my DH talked about putting 3 back, and my Dr got so angry and scolded my DH. The Dr asked him if he is the one carrying the pregnancy, and said that all the Nigerian patients he has always ask for 3 or 4, he wanted to know what our fixation was with having multiples.

I am not advocating SET, I still think putting 2 embies back is okay by the grace of God. But God did not make it a normal thing for humans to have quintuplets.
I hope the lady that put in 4 decides to put back only 2 in her next cycle, that will better her chances. If doing a 3 day transfer, put 2 or 3 back. If doing a 5 day transfer then put 1 or 2 back. A 5 day transfer is associated with a higher pregnancy rate, cos only the most viable embryos survive till day 5.

Is FET done in Nigeria?
Once again, I am sorry if I offended anyone or was insensitive. Wish all of us the best of luck.
