adino: Stop being a hypocryte, God hates judgemental people. So I should hate you too. Who are you to know what God loves and hate. God loves all, especially sinners (read a bible)and stop judging gays (homos and les) pray for and help them to change. If you cant, shut up and face your business.dude i think you shld do more of d reading of d bible. If you re a believer, then u re permitted to judge but not unto condemnation but to reprove and bring such a person to correction and repentance. dont judge ppl but judge d wrong dey do, and let dem know, so dat they can change and repent. |

blackchukky: What about the unbelievers who makes big plans and it comes to reality with speedMy above post as well as dat of Docii001 should answer ur question. |
Docii001: "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."Nobody is saying dat d unbelievers wouldnt get blessed, infact d bible recognises dis fact and tells us not to be envious of d success of the wicked. There are certain principles like sowing and reaping, giving, commitment and dedication to one's work dat wld bring abt success irrespective of who performs it i.e either a believer or an unbeliever This is so because our God is fair and just as you rightly said. However, we should realise dat God is ominipresent and dis unbelievers are enjoying the general presence of God which ensures everyone gets according to what he/she deserves, but as believers, we move above this general presence and enjoy the manifest presence of God due to His Spirit dwelling in us. It is dis presence dat enables us operate in d supernatural. It is dis manifest presence dat enables us witness the blessings of God which maketh rich and adds no sorrow. We should note dat even with this manifest presence of God, we should still obey d basic principles of seed time and harvest, being deligent in our work etc cos only den can God's blessings come to us. afterall, God Himself said "For I would bless d works of your hands" if ur not engaged in anything, wetin God go come bless na? Dont be lazy, cos faith without works is dead. |
@ op, God bless you. with ur post, matt 6:33 "But seek ye first d kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you" readily comes to my mind. until you are ready, you cannot be wealthy. |

'Yes, it is permissible for Christians to drink alcohol. It is not a sin to have a drink. But, in saying this, we have to be careful not to encourage the misuse of alcohol upon ourselves or by using it to cause others to stumble'. This is predominantly the statement I hear some believers make as regards alcohol. They even support their claim with scriptures like prov 20:1 'Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is 'intoxicated' by it is not wise and prov 23:29-35 and focus on the verse 30 which begins with they that tarry long at d wine.... they thereby claim that you musn't tarry long but can just take a sip or a gulp so long as you dont get intoxicated. My friends, there is nothing farther from the truth than this. Basically, we should realise that we are in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps the consumption of alcohol was permissible in the time of old, it is however highly unacceptable now that we have the Holy Spirit indwelling in us. Come to think of it, the bible says we should be filled (drunk) with the Holy Spirit, how then would we rather be possessed with the spirit of alcoholism? The Holy Spirit is so gentle that He would not contend with any other spirit in ur life, thus if you say you just drank small, then you permitted a 'small spirit' into ur life and after the departure of the Holy Spirit, it would then multiply and increase thereby turning you into a complete drunk. St Lk gospel clearly shows us smthing; Lk 1:15 says; 'For He shall be great in the sight of the lord and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; for He shall be filled with the Holy Ghost even from mother's womb' this scripture was referring to John the baptist, and we should note dat he wasnt forbidden to take strong drink because he is John the baptist but because he would be filled with the Holy Ghost even from birth. John the baptist and Samson were perhaps the only men to be filled with the Holy Ghost from mother's womb i.e they recieved the Holy Spirit before the appointed time as promised by Jesus christ. (even Jesus Christ 'as a man' wasnt filled with the Holy Ghost from birth, but had to wait till after His baptism). One simple truth dat we should note is dat the moment we are born again, and filled with the Holy Ghost, we automatically get to d stage John the baptist was at birth, therefore what applied for him immediately becomes applicable to us all. Friends, the conclusion of the matter remains as long as we have been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ and are baptised by the Holy Spirit, we have no business with alcohol, be it a sip, gulp or total consumption. |

benalvino: Why will God want you to speak santayakana when he understand English and igbo... Why does God want you to speak language you dont know and can't even tell the words that comes put from your mouth. My dear, who are we to question God? but let me just share this 2 points with you, please open ur mind to learn and dont just be too eager to argue; 1) Please do read up rom 8 26-27; from this scripture we wld understand dat d Holy spirit searcheth the mind of God and helps us align our prayer with d will of God. Thus by the help of the Spirit, we pray based on God's will. Now to ur question; why cant we understand what we say? The simple truth is dat only God is ominiscient, dont u think dat if the Holy Spirit after searching the heart of God in turn reveals it to us, then God wld lose His identity as being distinctly or solely ominiscient cos we wld know just like God? therefore all dat is important is for us to be assured dat when we pray in d Spirit, we are praying aright cos we are praying according to wat is in God's mind even though we dont understand it which to me is inconsequential. 2) The second point i want you to note is dat u cant pray selfishly in d Holy Spirit. The Human being is generally selfish, and dis is even extended to our prayer life. all we pray about is us and our loved ones. we never pray for our enemies. in matt 5 44, Jesus talks about loving ur enemies and praying for those dat despisefully use you as well as those dat persecute you. this is one teaching dat is difficult to observe in d flesh, but when we pray in d spirit, only God knows how many times we have prayed for our enemies. Now to ur question once more; why cant we understand what we say? truthfully speaking, if d Holyspirit reveals to us dat d psn we are praying to God to bless is dat same boss or colleague in d office dat hates us for no just cause and is bent on seeing us sacked, would we still genuinely want to pray for him or her? op pls answer honestly. my dear friend d truth of d matter is dat there are certain things we are better off not knowing, which is where our faith in God comes into play, we shld trust d Holyspirit to help us pray aright. finally pls do note dat there is a big reward for praying in d spirit. verse 28 0f d same romans 8 says; and we know dat all things work 2geda for gud to them that love God and to them who are called according to his purpose; tnx to d verse 27 which talks abt d Holy spirit making intercession, dis verse 28 is applicable to a believer. often times gud things just happen to we believers, and we are like wow but we never prayed for dis and we conclude dat of a truth all things work together for my gud, without even realising dat we just must hv prayed for dat particular situation howbeit in tongues (in d spirit) thus we never knew when we made such a prayer. last bullet: op learn to have more faith in God. |
