Burna Boy recently revealed to British radio presenter Julie he would love to join Skepta’s BBK movement.Below are excerpts from his interview on the Beats 1 show:

On the first time coming to London:

“The first time I came to London was like on a visiting ting, that was like when I was 6 or 7, living is real different, especially the cold, I was sick a lot. I was in Brixton, South London. My family is really musically orientated, my grandad used to manage Fela Kuti, and basically I didn’t really think anything of it at the time, I really wasn’t about the Afrobeats life at the time, I was listening to DMX you get me, I was more on the rap ting. Obviously, as time went by, I went back to Nigeria, discovered my roots, not discovered, just like appreciated it, and just came to terms, it just started spilling into my music and into everything I did. It was just Africa to the world.”

What’s your favourite Fela Kuti tune?

“It’s got to be “Coffin For Head of State”. The first time I heard it, I had a tear come out of my eye, it was so deep, and this guy is going on about it, they killed his mum, for me to hear that and coming from a Nigerian point, it was really touching because I could feel everything he was saying, and with the whole band, the whole composition of the music and that, it’s deep. It really taught me a lot.”

On future music collaborations:

“Just more international, more music, you don’t stop working. You should get Skepta to bring me into BBK, me and Jammer would just… Nah it’s just the energy, it’s just everything I can relate to.”

Magnificent singer and songwriter Sia makes it to the top of the biggest music chart in the world, the billboard hot 100, Sia scores her first leader as an artist, while Sean Paul returns to the top after 10 years, as “Cheap Thrills” replaces Drake’s “One Dance” after 10 weeks at No. 1.

“Cheap Thrills” released on Monkey Puzzle/RCA Records, and from Sia’s album This Is Acting, becomes the 1,056th No. 1 in the Hot 100’s history (which dates to Aug. 4, 1958). Sean Paul tallies his fourth Hot 100 No. 1, following

Paul ends the longest break (10 years and four months) between Hot 100 leaders since Dr. Dre went 12 years, two months and three weeks between “ No Diggity” by Blackstreet featuring Dr. Dre, in 1996, and “Crack a Bottle” his collab with Eminem and 50 Cent, in 2009.

It seems we just cannot get away from this Kanye West / Taylor Swift Famous debacle – as now yet another celebrity has waded into the argument over those lyrics and that alleged phone call.

To be fair, Amber Rose does have better qualifications than most to give her take on the argument, given that she knew Kanye very intimately between 2008 and 2010 when they dated. Very, very intimately, if her tweets are to be believed.

Still, fans of her new VH1 talk show The Amber Rose Show were pretty surprised on Friday night when the host gave her own insight into the feud – and actually sided with her ex, US Weekly reports.

She said:

“I want to talk about Kim and Kanye’s Snapchat. I’m not the biggest fan of Kanye. But I will say this: I was next to him at the VMAs that year and I remember the repercussions after that.
I remember Taylor’s mother and father coming up to us and saying, ‘One day, Kanye, you’ll have a daughter and somebody is going to do that to you.’ He was so remorseful.
I mean he really felt so bad, because it wasn’t about Taylor. It was about Beyoncé and her video. He didn’t want to interrupt Taylor – he didn’t even know who she was at the time.”

Rose used that story to explain that Kanye would never make the same mistake again, having learned his lesson from that 2009 incident.

She continued:

“It was just a very hard time for him. I watched people say that they did not want to work with him anymore because of it.
I know that Kanye would never ever go through that again by not calling Taylor and say, ‘Heads up, I’m about to go write this verse real quick. Just wanted to make sure you’re cool with it.’ I know that about Kanye.”

One Direction’s Liam Payne recently signed a solo deal with Capitol Records UK and will soon be entering the studio to record his first album. The 22-year-old artist excitedly revealed the news through his Twitter account on Thursday, July 21. One Direction fans wonder if this is the end of the boy band. The news has “Directioners” world over crying end-of-days, but Payne didn’t clarify if the band was officially parting ways.

The fan went on to discuss how even people who aren’t rich wouldn’t ride public transportation, further making him a very special artist.

“Famous”. Ever since the leakage there has been a war of words between Swift and Kanye/Kim.

Now, Chris Brown weighs in on the situation, essentially telling Swift and Kanye to stop acting childish. Though his words seem to be directed just at Swift, proper scrutinization of those words also lays bare subliminal shots at Kanye too.

Buying a pair of OVO x Air Jordan 10s on eBay could run you $600, but the versions Drake just unveiled on Instagram are, sadly, a one-of-one custom. They’re also made of solid gold.

We did the math, and if he is in fact telling the truth about their weight, that means he would have had to drop about 590 million naira on these sneakers. (Based on current gold values.) That doesn’t begin to take into account how much Drake had to pay artist Matthew Senna to craft these Goldmember-ish Js. To be fair, though, these are unwearable and thus are more sculpture than sneaker. Thing is, being an A-list rapper means being the best at one-upmanship.
What better way to do that than to spend an amount of money that could buy a person a mansion on a single pair of kicks?
