Celebrities''instagram Belongs To The Devil" Justin Bieber Announces by Grammywinner(op): 6:54am On Dec 01, 2016
Justin Bieber clearly has a love/hate relationship with Instagram. After leaving the service in August, Bieber explained to a London audience on Tuesday night (Nov. 29) that he’s “90 percent sure” that the pic-posting app is “for the devil” and that it is “hell.”

CelebritiesMusic In The 21st Century Lacks Soul!!! by Grammywinner(op): 4:39pm On Nov 25, 2016
There is something to be said about the quality of today’s music. I don’t mean the quality of your headphones; I mean the sounds that play through them. Lately I have found myself reflecting on the older content of my music library. I have found it more and more difficult to listen to the radio, aside from talk shows. I find myself constantly changing radio stations and hitting next on shuffle. For some reason I just cant find the satisfaction I once had in popular culture’s music. Maybe this is why I listen to the so-called “old skool” more often.

Dont get it twisted I do fancy a lot of today’s music, and listen to it often, but it’s obvious that today’s music lacks quality. Nowadays almost no one listens to full albums. People can’t stand listening to every song from an album, they only purchase singles on iTunes or illegally download a few choice songs here and there. Talented as she is, I don’t think that I could ever listen to a Beyonce record from start to finish; and I know that I wont necessarily get a lot of support on that statement from her more passionate fans. Many who consider themselves music enthusiasts will argue that they know everything there is to know about their favorite artists, while that’s all good and fine what can you tell me about their writing? What do you know about their composing process? How does their sound, melody and poetry evolve into these works we so cherish? Indeed music in the 21st century lacks soul!

I wish I could have been this age in 70s. Now that’s a generation of music classics. Say it’s a cliché choosing that era, but there’s no denying the true artistry of that time. Masters of their instruments, these were the musicians that created an art that will last lifetimes to come.

It’s difficult for me to accept the steady decline in the music industry as regards content quality. This year alone we’ve had tons of music icons release studio albums; the likes of Frank Ocean, Drake, Rihanna, Skylar Grey, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Lady Gaga etc. Yeah, each of those albums sold and are still selling, and songs from the albums also trended, but will that still be the case say a decade from now? Using one of the biggest albums of 2016 as a case study: One Dance, Drake’s lead single from his fourth studio album VIEWS topped music charts around the world and even went on to break music records in the UK, but after awhile we all know what happened. Most of us just got tired of listening to the record. It got so boring that some of us had no pleasure in hitting the repeat button on our music players after just listening to the song. Such anomaly only happens because the sought of music tailored by our 21st century music artists lacks soul. The more reason why they have a short lifespan.

While some may ask who I think I am to make such statements, I say this: I am a student learning more and more about the music business each day, and while I sure as hell don’t claim to know it all, far from it actually, I do know that I find myself fearful of what I will embark on in the nearest future. I know that everyone is fearful of their future in some way, the uncertainty of where it will take you; but you can only live and let life happen to you. Find those opportunities and seize them. I just hope that with all the chaos in the music industry right now, and that by the time I am fully immersed in the business as a livelihood, that someone has emerged who can yet again make their music timeless.

CelebritiesRihanna Is On Fire!!! by Grammywinner(op): 9:50am On Nov 24, 2016
Pardon the Post’s Caption, I was only being Figurative.

Allegations of gender inequality in the financial compensation of everyone from actors to athletes seem to have been vindicated in the results of the latest Forbes list of 30 Richest Celebrities under 30, which saw the inclusion of only four women.

And Rihanna not only secured a place but did so as fifth on the list with earnings of US$75 million between June 1, 2015 and June 1 this year.

The Work singer, who also copped fourth place recently on Forbes Highest Paid Women in Music list, received a lifetime achievement at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

Although only four women made the rich list, three of them made the top five, with British singer Adele immediately preceding Rihanna in fourth place with earnings of US$80.5 million.

EventsOrganizers Of Music Award Shows In Nigeria Should Fix Things by Grammywinner(op): 11:32am On Nov 18, 2016
According to Wikipedia an award is something given to a person, a group of people, or an organization to recognize their excellence in a certain field; more like a certificate of excellence. Awards are often signified by trophies, titles, certificates, commemorative plaques, medals, badges, pins, or ribbons.

In the Nigerian music industry today, the
Headies is undeniably the most recognized indigineous music award.

Established by the Hip Hop World Awards in 2006, the Headies is an award that recognises outstanding achievement in the Nigerian music industry.

Every year for the past nine years organizers of this prestigious award have without doubt put smiles on the faces of a privileged few. All through the years recipients of this music award have felt loved and appreciated as it became clear to them that their hard work and dedication towards the craft was heavily applauded.

Ever since the year 2006 when organizers of the Headies began honouring Nigerian music artistes, the Nigerian music industry has boomed. The industry has evolved. Artistes of different musical backgrounds and orientations have sprung out, giving us a new feel of what music is. If you are someone who makes out time everyday to listen to radio stations in Lagos, say Smooth Fm or The beats Fm, you will agree with me that there have been times when a particular song was played, you enjoyed listening to the song. At the end of the song the Radio presenter hopped in and to your amazement announced that the song you just listened to was sung by a typical Nigerian. I’ve experienced such several times, don’t know about you. We call what such music artistes do Alternative music. That’s because It doesn’t conform to the traditional or conventional music style of a certain society, but it’s nonetheless music. In Nigeria today we’ve got a host of music artistes experimenting with genres as soul, jazz, pop, rock and funk. The issh there’s that these artistes are treated as though they don’t even exist.

The Headies and it’s Organizers may hold the spot of being the most prestigious Music Award in the country, but that’s not to say they are without flaws. Our music industry is where it is today because moulders of the industry like Ayo Animashaun and his band of biased industry experts continually promote a certain set of music artistes and a certain form of music during every award ceremony. In their opinion, if your song isn’t popular on the streets, then it doesn’t even deserve a nod. Sometimes I wonder if the Grammy Awards would be what it is today if it did not embrace, recognize and honour artistes of every musical genre including Gospel.

I checked this year’s Headies Awards nomination list and was appalled to see the sought of categories in which awards were to be dispensed. As usual it was lame and promoted only the famous Nigerian music artistes, forgetting that those on top are not always the best out there.

I’ll present an analogy to buttress my point. In the Olympics, the greatest sporting event on earth, there are several categories, every sporting category is recognized and honoured. Sporting events as Soccer, Basketball, Lawn tennis, Table tennis, Cycling, Swimming, High jump, Hand ball, Car race, etc all belong to different categories, and athletes who participates in any of the above categories and come out on top are awarded in accordance with their categories. The medal conferred on an athlete from the soccer category is no greater than the one conferred on an athlete from the swimming category. All this happens because the organisers of the Olympics are wise enough to understand that every field of sport is honourable no matter how flimsy and insignificant it might appear to be.

I dream of a period in our music industry when every music genre is embraced and promoted; when artistes doing Alternative music are recognised and honoured no less than the artiste who does the usual Nigerian sound.

CelebritiesKanye West Getting Set To Knock Out Donald Trump In 2020 Presidential Election by Grammywinner(op): 9:07am On Nov 14, 2016
Kanye West On 2020 Presidential Run: “I Don’t Have Views On Politics, Just Humanity”

Controversial rapper Kanye West makes headline as usual but this time in a rather political manner.

During a recent interview with BBC’s radio presenter Annie Mac, Kanye discussed the subject after thousands of his fans flooded his social media accounts earlier in the week, begging him to run against Donald Trump in four years.

In West’s own words he tries to explain the motive behind his gigantic aspiration:

“When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views. I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth,” Kanye West told Annie Mac. “If there is anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I’m alive I’m going to try to do it.”

West initially announced his presidential run during the MTV Video Music Awards last year, at first Americans thought he was just joking as usual, but it looks like he’s dead serious about the White House bid.

From my point of view Drake's Album did so well this year. I'm guessing he's a bigger contender for that category.
Music/Radio2017 Grammy Awards Nominations. Make Your Prediction by Grammywinner(op): 1:52pm On Nov 13, 2016
As the year draws to a close music lovers as myself understand what time it is. It’s that time of the year when nominations for the most prestigious Music Award on the planet are collated and announced. Did I hear you ask what music Award? Well, the Grammys Ofcourse.

Don’t get it twisted every category in which Awards are presented at the Grammys is dignified, but just like our fingers are not equal so also the Awards presented in every category is also not equal. In other words, some Awards are just bigger than others.

The four big categories in the Grammys are: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. Artistes who win from any of these categories are artistes known to have crafted the most outstanding and breath-taking piece of music during the Grammy Award eligibility period.

Who will win Grammys in 2017? The eligibility period ran from October 1, 2015 to this past Friday, September 30, 2016, and you can start predicting nominations now in the top four general field categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. Tell us who you think will make the cut when nominations are announced on December 6.

Two of the biggest music stories of the year have been Adele and Beyonce . Adele won Album of the Year in 2011 for her blockbuster sophomore album “21” and followed it up last November with another chart-topper, “25” which also spawned the number-one hit “Hello,” which could be a contender for Record and Song of the Year. Meanwhile, Beyonce is still pursuing her first Grammy win for Album of the Year even though she has amassed a remarkable 20 Grammys in other categories. “Lemonade” is her most acclaimed effort yet and its lead single “Formation” could also be her first winner for Record of the Year.

But there’s more to this competition than Beyonce and Adele. There’s also sentimental favorite David Bowie , whose “Blackstar” was released in January just two days before his death. Chart-topper Drake could enter the race for the first time with “Views,” and Radiohead could get their fourth bid with “A Moon Shaped Pool.” And let’s not forget other Grammy-winning stars like Frank Ocean “Blonde” , Bon Iver “22, A Million” , Paul Simon “Stranger to Stranger” , Kanye West “The Life of Pablo” , Bonnie Raitt “Dig in Deep” and many more.

Here’s a few Grammy nomination predictions:

ItsNeto says: Lemonade deserves it. Point. It is the best AND most acclaimed album of the year. Adele just did more of the same thing. Hope that the old and conservative voters won’t snub Queen B this time.

Mocka says: Lemonade to take album of the year its a master piece album of 2016 record and song of the year nomination as well via formation.

sherm says: Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds made a better album, as did Beyonce’s sister Solange. Lemonade is top 5 of the year but it’s not the best.

Joshua says: For me, these are the albums and songs which at least deserve to win or be nominated:
Album of the year: 25 (Adele), Lemonade (Beyoncé), Purpose (Justin Bieber), A Head Full of Dreams (Coldplay), Blurryface (twenty one pilots), This is Acting (Sia)

Record of the year: Hello (Adele), Formation (Beyoncé), Cheap Thrills (Sia), Hymn for the Weekend (Coldplay), Heathens (twenty one pilots)

Song of the year: Send My Love(To Your New Lover) (Adele), Can’t Stop the Feeling (Justin Timberlake), Love Yourself (Justin Bieber), Treat You Better (Shawn Mendes), 7 Years (Lukas Graham)

Adele’s won album of the year before, so it seems possible that she could lose this year including the fact that many say the album was indifferent to 21. Then again, it is the best selling album of last year and this year, so that might give to her.

Beyoncé usually loses album of the year because there are too many people who work on the album and the academy isn’t ready to give their most prestigious award to so many people. Then again, it is the most critically acclaimed album of 2016 and we all know the Grammys prefer quality. But if so, what happened to the ‘Beyoncé’ album losing to ‘Morning Phase’ when Beyoncé beat him at sales and quality?

Justin Bieber has never been a grammy favourite, though, that might change. It just seems cruel to have Beyoncé and Adele or even David Bowie lose to Justin Bieber but then again the Grammys are unpredictable. But if not, Coldplay might be eligible, they’ve always had food critical reception, sales and just good music in general. twenty one pilots are doing really well, their critically acclaimed million selling album has all the right things for an album of the year win. Besides have you heard their music? Sia, maybe a nomination but not a win. As long as their are artist as big as the ones mentioned before, it seems unpredictable if she got the win. But then AGAIN, THE GRAMMYS ARE UNPREDICTABLE!!!

IRIE says: AOTY: Adele (25), Beyoncé (Lemonade), David Bowie (Blackstar), Drake (Views), Chance the Rapper (Coloring Book)

ROTY: Hello (Adele), Formation (Beyoncé), Cheap Thrills (Sia), Sorry (Justin Bieber), Work (Rihanna) or One Dance (Drake) or Stressed Out (twenty one pilots)

SOTY: Hello (Adele), Formation (Beyoncé), Love Yourself (Justin Bieber), Die a Happy man (Thomas Rhett), Katy Perry (Rise) or 7 years (Lukas Graham)

BNA: Chance the Rapper, Alessia Cara, Maren Morris, Bryson Tiller, Shawn Mendes/The Chainsmokers/Charlie Puth or someone we didn’t see coming !

What's your pickhuh

Music/RadioUpdates On Kanye West And Drake’s Joint Album by Grammywinner(op): 6:48am On Nov 13, 2016
While the star hip-hop duo have both released collaborative projects individually (West with 2011’s Watch The Throne alongside Jay Z and Drake teaming with Future for 2015’s What a Time to Be Alive) and have been featured on tracks together (see Drake’s “Pop Style” and “Forever,” as well as Big Sean’s “Blessings,” to name a few), the rap titans have long been hinting at a potential full-length joint project.

As the 6 and beyond eagerly await an avalanche of epic anthems courtesy of the dynamic duo, here’s everything we know so far about the LP.

West first hinted at the possibility of a joint album during an appearance at the Toronto rapper’s OVO Fest in August where he asked the crowd, “I got one question for you… Is y’all ready for this album? I’m not talking about Pablo. I wasn’t talking about Views. I wanna ask y’all right now, y’all ready for this album?” Drake further clarified: “What my brother was asking before was, are you ready if we make an album? That’s what he was asking.”

‘Ye further elaborated on the project during an interview with Vogue during the debut of his Yeezy Season 4 clothing line, noting, “We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio. We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.” While the interview was conducted in September, “soon” could now be imminent.

The project would also serve as a treasure trove of thoughts about the gossip and drama that’s been swirling around the two MCs for the past few months. Will Kanye West allude to his wife Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris? Will Drake address his on-again, off-again fling with Rihanna? Making things even more interesting: Drake has reportedly been getting chummy with West’s enemy-turned-friend-turned-enemy-again Taylor Swift, as Swift recently attended Drake’s birthday bash.

Grammys is an American award. Present to me a list of the nominees then.
Do they nominate African music genres like juju and highlife? Do you see African artistes as nomineees in similar categories as Americans?

They have ONE separate category for an entire continent, the only reason Angelique has 3Grammys is because she's in the same category as Femi Kuti and Keita, how come nobody like Beyonce is in the ONE category she always wins? No Taylor Swift, no India Arie, no Erykah Badu? So, my brother, it is as much an American award as the VMAs is one. The fact that they have One category of over 40 for an entire continent, should tell you, it is not World Music Awards. Now, you'll tell me the European Music Awards is not an European award because Tu Face has an EMA.

The Grammy is for North Americans, if they want to go far, Europe. But they certainly didn't have Africans in mind when they began the awards.

Same way BET is for Black Americans.

Another product of failed education system waiting for the West to throw you a bone.
You seem confused. Grammy is Grammy regardless of the category you win under.

i just turned your logic on you so you can see how silly it sounds

Grammy awards was created for North Americans, not for Africans. Expecting WizKid to have Grammys is silly because he's neither North American, nor does he ply his trade there. So, judging how good he is with an award he's not normally eligible for, is daft.

You should learn to think of your words before you write them, read them again, before you post them, lest you sound silly eventually
And who told you Grammys was created for just North Americans alone in? Is Angelique Kidjo who happens to be the recipient of 3 Grammys a North American ? Or Femi Kuti who's been nominated 3 times, is he also a North American?

At this point I'll be redirecting ur words back to you

On the 21st day of September 2016, multi award winning Canadian star Abel Makkonen Tesfaye popularly known by his stage name The Weeknd announced the name of his third studio album, Starboy. The 18 track album will be released through Republic Records. The following day he released the title track “Starboy” which features
Daft Punk.

Nigerians on hearing about the song wasted no time to bash The Weeknd and his idea of titling his new single Starboy, a phrase they claimed he stole from their very own, Wizkid. You can’t imagine all the crap Nigerians wrote on social media platforms. Imagine Nigerians quipping of The Weeknd wanting to be Wizkid. How absurd!!!

Nigerians would never stop amazing me.

Of a truth, Wizkid may have adopted the phrase
Starboy for himself and his label but that doesn’t mean he has exclusive rights to the use of the Starboy phrase. By the way he wasn’t even originally responsible for coining the phrase Star-boy. In other words he picked up that phrase from somewhere.

I looked up the word Starboy in an online dictionary and here’s what I got;

1: a womanizer, a philanderer, a man who has sex with many women.

2: a very successful male individual, one who dwells in the heights, far above his contemporaries.

From the look of things any male figure who falls under any of the above categories is free to call himself a Starboy.

After checking out lyrics to the The Weeknd’s latest single Starboy, it dawned on me as to the basis for him titling his latest single and forthcoming album Starboy. I mean, going by the definition of Starboy who wouldn’t justify the claims put forward by The Weeknd. The song basically was a bragging rights piece about his achievements this year alone. 2016 has indeed been a good year for The Weeknd. Garnering 2 Grammy Awards out of his seven Grammy nominations at this year’s 58th Grammy Awards ceremony and making music history at the Billboard Music Awards ceremony held this same year where he went home with 8 Billboard Music Awards.

It’s just a shame Wizkid on hearing about the Album and song title took it personal, subscribed to the typical Nigerian mentality and labelled The Weeknd a thief and a fraudster as though he had monopoly over the Starboy phrase, a word he neither invented nor coined. Though before the evening of that same day he deleted the Tweet, some sage must have talked sense into his head.

Yes Wizkid may have had his name on the Billboard hot 100 chart as one of the contributing artists on Drake’s worldwide hit One Dance but that neither makes him a Global music star nor a bigger player in the music industry than The Weeknd. And if we are to go by a global audience casting votes as to which of the both artistes is a Starboy am certain 90℅ of the votes cast would affirm The Weeknd as being more eligible of the title Starboy.

Speaking of achievements what has
Wizkid gotten for himself apart from being featured on Drake’s smash hit and maybe securing a Sony Music Worldwide Deal? By the way, till date there are still Nigerians who think Wizkid’s part on Drake’s joint was recorded over phone.lol. Even from an angle of net worth Wizkid still pales in comparison to The Weeknd.

I would say our Nigerian music artists rid themselves of neo-schizophrenic delusions of grandeur and stop thinking too highly of themselves when they haven’t even achieved any global high mark.

And to Nigerians who claim to be musically inclined but restrict themselves to Nigerian songs, folks who know nothing about music but can hop on social media platforms and spill anything they comes to mind I would advise that yall get a grip of yourselves. It won’t come as a shocker to me if y’all wake up tomorrow and claim that Flavour Nabania is a better singer than Anthony Hamilton. lol.

Am neither a hater of Wizkid nor a fan of The Weeknd, just an honest music critic.

CelebritiesBetween Wizkid and The Weeknd, who's the Starboy ? by Grammywinner(op):
On the 21st day of September 2016, multi award winning Canadian star Abel Makkonen Tesfaye popularly known by his stage name The Weeknd announced the name of his third studio album, Starboy. The 18 track album will be released through Republic Records. The following day he released the title track “Starboy” which features Daft Punk.

I looked up the word Starboy in an online dictionary and here’s what I got;

1: a womanizer, a philanderer, a man who has sex with many women.

2: a very successful male individual, one who dwells in the heights, far above his contemporaries.

From the look of things any male figure who falls under any of the above categories is free to call himself a Starboy.

After checking out lyrics to the The Weeknd’s latest single Starboy it dawned on me as to the basis for him titling his latest single and forthcoming album Starboy. I mean, going by the definition of Starboy who wouldn’t justify the Starboy claims put forward by The Weeknd.

Speaking of achievements what has Wizkid gotten for himself apart from being featured on Drake’s smash hit and maybe securing a Sony Music Worldwide Deal? By the way, till date there are still Nigerians who think Wizkid’s part on Drake’s joint was recorded over phone.lol. Even from an angle of net worth
Wizkid still pales in comparison to The Weeknd.

I would say our Nigerian music artists rid themselves of neo-schizophrenic delusions and stop thinking too highly of themselves when they haven’t even achieved any global high mark.

Tupac Shakur, was a rapper and hip-hop artist. He began his career in music at the age of 13, and became one of the best acts in music with millions of his albums sold all over the world.

Shakur, used the Bible while serving a of nine months jail term at Clinton Correctional Facility in 1995.

He was charged, alongside some other persons for sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room. The rapper denied the charges, but was however convicted of first degree sexual assault.

The case was on appeal but he was unable to raise the legal fee of $1.4 million bail, and had to serve nine months in the facility.

While serving his time in prison, the rapper signed the Bible along with his inmate number.

CelebritiesChris Brown Falsely Accused Of Smashing Fan’s Phone In Kenya by Grammywinner(op): 8:18am On Oct 09, 2016
Fans must really take offense when Chris Brown turns them down for a picture because one fan decided she was going to get revenge on Chris, by accusing him of smashing her iPhone at the Moi International Airport in Mombasa! She said, “I was with my friends and was trying to take a selfie when he grabbed the phone from the back. I was shocked.” Turns out someone caught it on camera and in the words of Maury, the lie detector test determined, that was a lie.

According to RhymesWithSnitch, the girl said Brown broke her phone when she tried to snap a selfie with him when he arrived at the airport on Saturday.
The fan spoke with Speaking to the Nation and said she “deeply disappointed by the artiste’s action,” and was curious why Chris did this to her.

“I have a ticket for the show but I won’t attend it. Brown should know that we like his songs but he has to respect his fans,” she said.

Well I wonder what she’s saying now because the video clearly shows her asking for a picture but Chris never grabbed her phone.

CelebritiesPresident Barack Obama Alongside Macklemore Talk About Opioid Addiction by Grammywinner(op): 11:58am On Oct 07, 2016
Teaming up to bring attention to the exploding opioid epidemic, MTV Docs brought together Macklemore and President Obama for a documentary about what’s now known as the worst epidemic of addiction in American history. Airing Tuesday (Oct. 4) on MTV, Prescription for Change: Ending America’s Opioid Crisis focuses on recovery methods, the history of opioids in America, and personal stories, including Macklemore’s own.

Macklemore himself is no stranger to sharing his struggles with addiction. The rapper, who released his latest album This Unruly Mess I Made this past February, has consistently used his star power to shine a light on (and fight against) the stigma of addiction. By linking up with the recently rebooted documentary division of MTV, he filmed a chat with President Obama in front of the White House in honor of late September’s Prescription Opioid and Heroin Epidemic Awareness Week.

The hour-long doc was filmed in both Washington, D.C. and Macklemore’s home state of Washington, and had its world premiere this past Monday at South by South Lawn, President Obama’s White House-hosted spin on music-and-art festivals. Here are seven revealing takeaways from Prescription for Change, ranging from stunning facts about America’s epidemic, to why President Obama agreed to take part in the first place.

#1. It’s clear that the America’s drug epidemic has been quickly spiraling out of control, with President Obama noting that “Incidents of people dying of overdoses is actually spiking. In 2014, we saw more people die of drug overdoses than car accidents, and the majority of those [deaths are from] opioids.”

#2. Macklemore, who explains that he first got sober in 2008, is frank about his own struggles with addiction. “I was on Percocet, and all of the sudden I’m doing them every day, to the point where I have this dependency,” he tells Obama of his addiction’s origins. “I remember one day, the guy where I was getting it from didn’t have any more, but he said he had this other thing — it’s called Oxycontin. Within a week, I was isolated in my room doing this drug, just to stay alive, in a way.”

#3. Obama himself shared his own personal background when it comes to drug abuse. “When I was a teenager, I used drugs and drank and pretty much tried whatever was out there, but I was in Hawaii, and it was a pretty relaxed place,” he notes, adding “I was lucky I did not get addicted — except to cigarettes, which took me a long time to kick.”

#4. For Obama, participating in the documentary and tackling the drug epidemic is a personal quest. “I think that anyone who’s grown up in America has known people who’s struggled with it. I’ve had a lot of close friends who ended up going through the recovery process.” Later, Obama stressed: “I wanted to send a message that seeking help is the strong thing to do.”

#5. When Macklemore finally did get help, he notes that there was a stigma that surrounded the whole ordeal. “When I got out of treatment, I didn’t know how to be honest about something I was shameful of,” he explains. “I didn’t know there was such a stigma around admitting that you have a problem, and addiction is real.”

#6. What finally worked for Macklemore? A rehab facility, which he is well aware that many others don’t get a chance to afford. “If it wasn’t for my parents being able to help me out with treatment, and afford this expensive rehab facility, then I wouldn’t be here right now talking to you.”

#7. However bleak things may be, perceptions and plans are finally beginning to chip away at the epidemic’s grasp. Drug addiction, once treated solely by law enforcement, is now being regarded more as a disease, while a better system of tracking prescriptions is being put in place, and recovery methods are becoming easier to access. “I do have hope,” notes Macklemore by Prescription for Change’s end. “I think there is a shift in consciousness.”

CelebritiesCould Rihanna And Drake Be Parting Ways Anytime Soon ? by Grammywinner(op): 9:09am On Oct 07, 2016
The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards back in August witnessed Rihanna and Drake proudly confirming dating rumors, but just 2 months after publicly gushing over each other it seems like they both are tired of feeding on each other.

According to a new report by Hollywood Life, Drake and Rihanna’s dating life isn’t exactly smooth sailing right now, and sources close to the couple are alleging that their romance could potentially be on the rocks.

An insider revealed to the site that despite Rihanna and Drake having an “unbreakable bond” and reportedly over the past several months, the two have supposedly been struggling to make things work in recent weeks.

“Drake has always been a playboy and Rihanna usually picks the wrong guy,” a source revealed as the breakup rumors swirled around the couple after they appeared to confirm that they’re dating, “and now that they seemingly have found the right person for each other they can’t really wrap their head around it.”

The insider also went on to allege that both Drake and Rihanna have “wandering eyes,” which is causing a strain when it comes to the twosome dating only each other.

“Rihanna and Drake are trying to figure out each other in a relationship form because they are so familiar with being great friends, hooking up and then coming back to each other when it is convenient,” revealed the source.

But while some insiders are foreshadowing that a breakup could be on the cards for Rihanna and Drake, Hollywood Life’s source revealed that Rihanna and her man are doing all they can to make their relationship work, and that includes slowing things down a little when it comes to the dating game.

CelebritiesBruno Mars Soon To Release New Album by Grammywinner(op): 8:37am On Oct 07, 2016
This should come as a good news to fans of Bruno Mars, considering the fact that it’s nearing four years since we got a new album from the Grenade crooner, but the wait is almost over — hopefully.

On Oct. 3, the singer tweeted that his album was done, before sharing nine photos on Instagram that made up the cover for the single, “24k Magic.”

“You can call it my first single, but I call it the invitation to the party. #24KMagic ——,” said Mars in an Instagram post.

“24k Magic” will be the singer’s first single since Mark Ronson ‘s 2014’s mega-smash “Uptown Funk!,” with Mars featured on lead vocals. The single tied for the second-longest-leading Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper ever, with 14 weeks at the number 1 spot. It’ll also be his first brand-new music as a lead artist to be commercially released since his 2012 album,
Unorthodox Jukebox, though two Super Bowl half time appearances and his “Uptown Funk!” appearance have ensured he hasn’t slipped far from the public consciousness.

Although there is no release date for the album as of yet, take a look back on Mars’ journey to album three, and what he’s been working on in between.

The first hint that Mars was working on new music came with a Facebook post following the end of his Moonshine Jungle Tour in September of 2014, where he hinted that he was working on “chapter 3,” which was assumed to be his upcoming third album.

Then came his guest appearance alongside Coldplay and Beyonce at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, which his father, Pete Hernandez, claims delayed the release of his next album. In an interview with the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Hernandez said the album was set to drop this March before his Super Bowl appearance “threw him back several months.”

“Bruno has seven great new songs — I’ve heard ‘em — but the album should now be released in September or October, to qualify for next year’s Grammy Awards.”
