Some residents of Sokoto State will on Saturday(today) embark on a “mass” protest against the arrest of two people suspected to be involved in the killing of a female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, identified as Deborah Samuel, for alleged blasphemy.

Following the incident, the police in Sokoto said two suspects had been arrested and taken into custody.
According to the Sokoto police spokesman, Sanusi Abubakar, the mob overpowered campus security before killing the female student and setting her remains on fire.

However, a leaflet obtained by SaharaReporters on Saturday, written in Hausa, asked Muslims to come out en mass to protest against the arrest.
“We’re inviting Muslims in Sokoto to come and help them rescue our brothers that were arrested because they were defending Islam and uplifting prophet Muhammad S.A.W,” the leaflet read.
“Gawon Mama Roundabout is where they'll meet; Time: 9am. For more details call those numbers.”

Supporters of the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu on Wednesday in Abuja engaged in a free-for-all at the International Conference Centre (ICC) following a disagreement that ensued over the sharing formula for the money given to them.

The supporters threw caution to the wind as they engaged one another in a brawl, leading to pandemonium in the area.

Trouble started shortly after the former Secretary to the Government of Federation, Babachir Lawal, who was there to submit nomination and expression of interest forms on behalf of Tinubu, left the venue.

The group of supporters, who had positioned themselves at strategic locations at the centre, were given a bail of money which triggered the fight.

One of the supporters was sighted running away with the money as others went after him. He was eventually caught and mercilessly beaten.

Can he/her be said to be successful?

Mine, I was the the class topper in primary school. I mean the overall best. Onto Junior sec. school I was the best as well. At senior sec, I was among the top 3 in my class. Never knew the exact position cos they don't grade positions at my senior secondary.

On to University, hell, I have spent more than eight years now still couldn't graduate. Finance, acquisitions, I don't even a full grown chicken to my name. Just managing life.

Lol, I know I'll be an example to many of my former classmates. They'll be like 'look at so, so (Jusatboyy) he still hasn't graduated life is not by academic grades' bla, bla...........

Some of them are married with kids, some medical doctors, some pharmacist, engineers, busineessmen/women.

Stop using atm to do transfers, especially inter- bank ones. If there's problem interswitch will take a month or more to resolve it, or may never. Instead, use your bank app to do transfers on your phone(preferably) or Ussd. If transaction have issues, you settle with your bank

Then that means you will still have to go. The good thing about the whole issue is that you own both accounts, so if the money is not going to hit your other account, there should be a reversal of the fund to your first bank account.

Thanks. But I was debited by this so called payarena. It's as if the money went to payarena. That's my fear.

Similiar thing happened to me two days ago.

I had some money in my GTB account on the 12th of this month. When I went to use the ATM the next day on the 13th, I could only find less than 836 naira.

When I called the bank, I was told that my ATM card was used at a POS called Pay Arena for only God knows what.

This was quite surprising because my card had been with me since morning and every time. I don't do online transactions with it and have only used it for POS once and that was in August this year.

I went to the bank yesterday to fill the dispute form and was told that the issue would be sorted out in 45 days. Can you imagine??

How possible can my card be used at a POS without the card?

Please did you get the money back. I'm experiencing the same issue.

A colleague of mine asked me on the 22nd of March, 2018 at about 12.14pm to help transfer money to his son Peter which I did through the ATM machine at Aduwawa Benin City branch of FirstBank. Do you know that up till now the 11,000 Naira I transferred from my Credit Card Account number 2028459248 for which I was debited 11,100 Naira didn't get to its destination?
Is the money missing in transit or stolen? FirstBank Nigeria please explain. I got your alert that this money has been debited but the recipient is yet to receive it and I had to return the money I collected from the said colleague this afternoon. See the alert I received below...
