FG Discovers Illegal Crude Oil Connection In Abia

An oil theft situation assessment delegation deployed in the Niger Delta by President Bola Tinubu discovered an illegal oil connection on Saturday.

From the illegal connection discovered at Owaza in Abia State, Nigeria loses an average of 7.2 million dollars monthly, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. stated on Sunday.

It added that clandestine refineries, illegal bunkering operations and environmental devastation the team saw collectively translated into severe economic losses for the nation.

Nigeria tried doing this twice without success because of too many unnecessary interests.

1. I remember our company with a UK partner who has done the same thing for over 50 nations submitted proposal for the ID project and they didn't even invite us for presentation. Why? (unnecessary interests just as I said earlier).

2. Afterwards NIMC was set up and incompetent people has been managing the agency, I was captured in 2015 till now I am yet to get my ID
and the same with many Nigerians.

3. Foreigners from Niger, Chad, Cameroon, Benin, Togo are now in possession of our IDs how? The system has been compromised.

So I am supporting world bank on this either through loan or grant to take over the project. We need to activate our economy for rapid growth and it can't be done with having a GENUINE database which we have not able to do on our own for over 20years.

I did that before that age but the environment was peaceful and friendly not now that everywhere is scary. I remember I used to travel to other states to buy goods for my dad when I was less than age 15.

You need to let him start developing muscles. You can send out and overshadow him with him knowing (follow him without his knowledge see whatever happening on his to/fro). As much as possible tell him not to entertain strangers or play with anyone on his way.

Help him early with street credibility, before they teach him bad things outside.

Good day, Nairaland families. I would appreciate it if mature and responsible families in the house could enlighten me on this. My son is only 7 years and 4 months old, and I allow him and his 5 year old sister to do minor chores such as making their beds when they wake up, sweeping their rooms to some extent, taking their plates to the kitchen after eating, and brushing their teeth at night. However, there is one thing I frown upon in the house, "Sending a young guy of his age on street errands," but I discovered that my wife finds it so easy to do so.

Most times my wife would want to get simple stuff like detergent and so, she calls him which i do stop from happening most times since i am of a personal opinion that it is rather too unsafe for him and he should not be sent on an errand alone until he is at least 10years old and above.

An APC group, identified as Nigerian Proactive Group for Asiwaju, has accused the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu of using his office to pursue personal vendetta, saying the new administration is yet to constitute a security agenda.

While accusing the President Bola Tinubu-led administration of lopsidedness in the appointment heads of Nigerian security, the group in a release signed by the National Coordinator, Wasiu Oyebode Olakunle, wondered why most heads of security chiefs are from North West geopolitical zone. 

According to Olakunle, apart from the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa who hails Zango Kataf, Kaduna State, Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar is also from North West, as well as the Director General DSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi who hails from Bichi, Kano State, another North West region. 

Continuing, he further noted that the Director General NIA, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar also hails from Katsina North West Nigeria, Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Jigawa, North West Nigeria and the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammad Mattawale, who hails from Zamfara North West Nigeria.

Listing Ribadu's perceived offences, the group said, "Putting in place his political structure ahead of 2027 poll amidst insecurity in the country. 

"Turned to a journalist as well as a photo-journalist in the presidential villa most especially, when the president has visitors.

"Hosting and posting pictures with political groups and Kannywood stars in his office."

The group expressed concern that the Nigerian military is increasingly becoming demoralised, saying the bandits are now emboldened.
