OLAN2015:While I understand where u are coming from don't you think he is better off totally cutting them off? What will he loose by so doing? |
Please do not let yourself be blackmailed or guilt tripped into forgiving or helping anybody. You owe them NOTHING. Do what makes you comfortable and pay no heard to those blackmailing you with religious quotes. Some families are a blessing why some can be a curse. Don't be surprised the moment you start associating with them, your story starts turning around for bad. They didn't mean well for you yesterday and I am sure they don't mean well for you today either. |
MelesZenawi:Does press freedom include writing malicious lies you know to be untrue? Does press freedom include maligning the integrity of another with no facts? The truth is that what Osibanjo did is actually good for democracy. He did not arrest anybody just telling them if they are sure of their accusations then they should be bold enough to defend it in the court. I believe the apoloy should not be accepted. A court case should be instituted for intentionally carrying a false story demeaning to the personality of the vice president. |
Have you guys noticed that the only people complaining are pdp's apologists? Why take panadol for another man's headache. It is becoming clear that this is pdp's strategy going towards 2023 and it is sickening. Osibanjo should be left alone. He can handle himself if need be. |
Aljmusa300:Do you know what you are even saying? The Okumagbas are some of the original owners of Warri. The last two kings of Okere-Urhobo kingdom in Warri have been Okumagbas. |
safetyInspector:And Warri where the new MD comes from is not an oil producing area? |
Chrismentor3:While this is true, d govt usually frustrates d policy by not giving any tangible subventions to d schools. Teachers will have to use their own salaries to run schools if d free education policy is practiced as stated. School heads run their schools by collecting some levies like handwork, pta etc. The commissioner is aware of dis and is just trying to make d school head a scape goat for his own inefficiency. |
soliddust2020:What you don't seem to understand is that nobody is saying Buhari is so loved in Delta. The reason the Urhobos and others will be voting for him is because of political expediency. It favours them more to support their sons (Ogboru and Omo-Agege) who will benefit from Buhari's victory. Also, both candidates of APC and PDP are Northeners, Muslims and Hausa-Fulanis so the benefit GEJ had (our son) is not applicable here. Do you honestly think that Urhobos will vote Atiku for Presidency then turn around to vote Omo-Agege for Senate? It's going to be one way, either they vote PDP all the way or they vote APC all the way. Also bear in mind that PDP's rigging machinery will be minimised since they no longer control the federal govt. From most comments made earlier you will notice that nobody is given Delta outrightly to PMB but only saying that there will be a marked increase in votes to him due to the factors I have stated herein. Shalom. |
hypertension:Bros, u will be surprised to know the number of Deltans voting for Buhari. As it stands today 90% of my extended families both in Delta Central and North are voting for him. |
I have been telling my friends who are not Deltans these but they bliv the social media hype. As it stands today, Ogboru is wining Urhobo, Isoko and Itsekiri votes. He will loose woefully in Delta North. His greatest mistake was not taking Cairo Ojougbo from Agbor as his deputy. That guy would have given Okowa problem in his home of Ika land. Against the popular opinion, Okowa is not dat loved in Agbor because of the Agbor/Owa dichotomy. I bliv this is d best chance for Ogboru although he might not win. Local govt workers, primary school teachers and pensioners are strongly against Okowa not to talk of all those he sacked in 2015 from the state civil service. As for Buhari, he is not going to win Delta but will possibly get about 40% of the votes which is a huge improvement from that of 2015. |
Do these reps have a problem comprehending simple English? Where exactly did the minister blame the national assembly for the delay? All the man said was that they are waiting to get a date before the presentation of the budget or his president supposed to just waltz into the national assembly without proper scheduling? How does waiting to get a date for presentation now amounts to blaming the national assembly? |
This Prof just wants to grab attention if not all this theatrics are not necessary. The truth remains that ASUU won't even bother to disrupt whatever activity he wants to engage in. As a Dean he is currently a management staff and no one expects him not carry out that function. What he should know is that just as he claims he can sue ASUU so also can other members of staff in his faculty sue him if he tries to force them to break the strike. The Prof should also remember that his current salary and retirement age of 70yrs instead of 65 are products of ASUU strike. Most of his lecture theatres, library, office spaces etc were built by products of ASUU struggles. A day will come when he will nolonger be in that exalted position and the question will be asked of what he did to improve the system which has given him so much. |
Everything the Prof mentioned that where done by the FG in his University were products of ASUU struggle. Without ASUU strikes there won't be Tetfund neither will there be NEEDS Assessment. These are the two intervention funds currently being used in trying to bridge the infrastructural gaps in our public Universities. The Prof should atleast have acknowledged what ASUU's struggles has done for the University system. |
OP, I think the major cause of ur problem is that the young man is yet to graduate not to talk of working yet. No Nigerian family supports their son talking about marriage when he is still in school. They will expect d son to first work for some few years before marriage. The only exceptions are mostly families that have only 1 son and in most cases they are also very rich. Your guy talking about marriage in this stage only makes u an enemy to d family and u will be treated as such. The question for u then is if u are prepared to av ur husband totally estranged from his family. If not, then listen to ur parents. |
He is not yet the Oba of Benin but Edaiken Uselu (Crown Prince). Op pls modify your post. |
