FamilyRe: What Will You Do If You Have My Kind Of Parents? by Gravy: 8:11pm On Sep 19, 2020
OLAN2015:
Let me advise you. My wife's experience is a bit similar to yours. The parents separated too when she was about 2 or 3 years. Please, forgive them but be very very very careful and cautious with your dealings with both of them. It's obvious they want to be close to you because you are now doing fine. You are very lucky to be a man which means your future marriage or wedding is not so dependent on their involvement . It would have been a bit challenging if you were a woman. Be wise but be very blunt in your relationship with them. Never ever accept the son of your mother's new husband (step brother) to stay with you. It may be a plot to monitor your life and pass information secretly to your estranged mother. But you can help him from a distance by sending any amount you can afford . Most importantly, be very watchful and prayerful. Handle them in your prayers but forgive them in your heart. But note, forgiving wicked people doesn't mean you should let go of your guards. Be wise as a serpent but harmless as a dove. We can live at peace with evil people without compromising our safe living. Don't say because you have forgiven them , they came have easy access to your life. Have they repented? Have they confessed their past evil lives? Have they apologized to you for their wickedness? Does their present life shows pertinence, remorse, kindness, humility and other attributes of someone who has really changed? If not, just relate with them as you would do with a wicked unbeliever which is by applying wisdom and peace.
While I understand where u are coming from don't you think he is better off totally cutting them off? What will he loose by so doing?
FamilyRe: What Will You Do If You Have My Kind Of Parents? by Gravy: 8:02pm On Sep 19, 2020
Please do not let yourself be blackmailed or guilt tripped into forgiving or helping anybody. You owe them NOTHING. Do what makes you comfortable and pay no heard to those blackmailing you with religious quotes. Some families are a blessing why some can be a curse. Don't be surprised the moment you start associating with them, your story starts turning around for bad. They didn't mean well for you yesterday and I am sure they don't mean well for you today either.
PoliticsRe: FIRS Fund: Vanguard Retracts Story, Apologizes To Osinbajo by Gravy: 7:36am On Sep 26, 2019
MelesZenawi:
No more press freedom in Nigeria.

We are even saying Buhari is a dictator but clearly Osibanjo will be a brutal dictator than buhari.

What is the essence of law that he studied....No more press freedom.

Osibanjo is more deadly and dangerous than buhari...

We complain of Sars intimidating Nigeria, what can we call the action of same man who ordered sars to be reformed?

Osibanjo doesn't practice what he preaches?

A shame to the church
Does press freedom include writing malicious lies you know to be untrue? Does press freedom include maligning the integrity of another with no facts? The truth is that what Osibanjo did is actually good for democracy. He did not arrest anybody just telling them if they are sure of their accusations then they should be bold enough to defend it in the court. I believe the apoloy should not be accepted. A court case should be instituted for intentionally carrying a false story demeaning to the personality of the vice president.
PoliticsRe: Cabal Planning To Dump Osinbajo After Using Him - Ozekhome by Gravy: 7:23am On Sep 26, 2019
Have you guys noticed that the only people complaining are pdp's apologists? Why take panadol for another man's headache. It is becoming clear that this is pdp's strategy going towards 2023 and it is sickening. Osibanjo should be left alone. He can handle himself if need be.
PoliticsRe: Reverse Your Nomination Of MD NDDC, Delta Ijaws Tell Buhari by Gravy: 6:28pm On Sep 03, 2019
Aljmusa300:
It is not about Ijaws alone, the appointment did not follow the act establishing the commission. The oil in Delta is produced mainly in Ijaw and Itsekiri areas. It is unfiar for Urhobo to have minister, Deputy senate president and MD NDDC when the major oil producers dont have anything. To make matters worse, the MD is from a non oil producing community. The owner of that community which is the father of the MD migrated from the village of the DSP to his present location some few decades ago. So the whole appointment is a fraud.
Do you know what you are even saying? The Okumagbas are some of the original owners of Warri. The last two kings of Okere-Urhobo kingdom in Warri have been Okumagbas.
PoliticsRe: Reverse Your Nomination Of MD NDDC, Delta Ijaws Tell Buhari by Gravy: 6:22pm On Sep 03, 2019
safetyInspector:
Go back and read it again, this time very slowly, perhaps you don't understand their request. The position ought to be rotational among the indigens of oil producing areas.
And Warri where the new MD comes from is not an oil producing area?
CrimeRe: Success’ Viral Video: Delta Government To Sanction School Head And Others by Gravy: 8:06am On Mar 18, 2019
Chrismentor3:
I remember the school where I did my Nysc in Delta, the principal confided in me that the school fee are all illegal, that the govt of Delta made public schools free
While this is true, d govt usually frustrates d policy by not giving any tangible subventions to d schools. Teachers will have to use their own salaries to run schools if d free education policy is practiced as stated. School heads run their schools by collecting some levies like handwork, pta etc. The commissioner is aware of dis and is just trying to make d school head a scape goat for his own inefficiency.
PoliticsRe: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by Gravy: 6:00pm On Jan 29, 2019
soliddust2020:
Buhari can't get 10% in urhobo, he is hated forget the crowd you saw at that rally. They were there for ogboru and omo-agege. Herdsmen has killed so many people in ughelli north and they have terrorized Abraka too. As for the governorship election Okowa will win again, 40-50% urhobos will vote for him, Ijaws are all for him, he should get another 50% votes from Isokos and i can't tell about the itsekiris. Okowa pulled some last minute coup that change the mindset of so many political leaders and group and he also started massive works to save himself from disgrace. Omo-agege will win delta central senatorial election and as for James manager vs Uduaghan i have no comment. Ogboru lost some followers when he collected contracts from GEJ, that made some people feel he is just there for his stomach and not the people.
What you don't seem to understand is that nobody is saying Buhari is so loved in Delta. The reason the Urhobos and others will be voting for him is because of political expediency. It favours them more to support their sons (Ogboru and Omo-Agege) who will benefit from Buhari's victory. Also, both candidates of APC and PDP are Northeners, Muslims and Hausa-Fulanis so the benefit GEJ had (our son) is not applicable here. Do you honestly think that Urhobos will vote Atiku for Presidency then turn around to vote Omo-Agege for Senate? It's going to be one way, either they vote PDP all the way or they vote APC all the way. Also bear in mind that PDP's rigging machinery will be minimised since they no longer control the federal govt. From most comments made earlier you will notice that nobody is given Delta outrightly to PMB but only saying that there will be a marked increase in votes to him due to the factors I have stated herein. Shalom.

A delta man vote for buhari.
.God forbid. i urhobo and never votig for bihari. maybe ogboru..we need change
Bros, u will be surprised to know the number of Deltans voting for Buhari. As it stands today 90% of my extended families both in Delta Central and North are voting for him.
PoliticsRe: APC May Pull A Shocker In Delta State by Gravy: 1:59pm On Jan 29, 2019
I have been telling my friends who are not Deltans these but they bliv the social media hype. As it stands today, Ogboru is wining Urhobo, Isoko and Itsekiri votes. He will loose woefully in Delta North. His greatest mistake was not taking Cairo Ojougbo from Agbor as his deputy. That guy would have given Okowa problem in his home of Ika land. Against the popular opinion, Okowa is not dat loved in Agbor because of the Agbor/Owa dichotomy. I bliv this is d best chance for Ogboru although he might not win. Local govt workers, primary school teachers and pensioners are strongly against Okowa not to talk of all those he sacked in 2015 from the state civil service. As for Buhari, he is not going to win Delta but will possibly get about 40% of the votes which is a huge improvement from that of 2015.
PoliticsRe: 2019 Budget: Reps Threaten To Boycott Presentation Over Minister’s Remarks by Gravy: 3:23pm On Dec 13, 2018
Do these reps have a problem comprehending simple English? Where exactly did the minister blame the national assembly for the delay? All the man said was that they are waiting to get a date before the presentation of the budget or his president supposed to just waltz into the national assembly without proper scheduling? How does waiting to get a date for presentation now amounts to blaming the national assembly?
EducationRe: Suny Edeko: 'I Will Sue ASUU For N10bn If They Disrupt Me' by Gravy: 3:44pm On Nov 14, 2018
This Prof just wants to grab attention if not all this theatrics are not necessary. The truth remains that ASUU won't even bother to disrupt whatever activity he wants to engage in. As a Dean he is currently a management staff and no one expects him not carry out that function. What he should know is that just as he claims he can sue ASUU so also can other members of staff in his faculty sue him if he tries to force them to break the strike. The Prof should also remember that his current salary and retirement age of 70yrs instead of 65 are products of ASUU strike. Most of his lecture theatres, library, office spaces etc were built by products of ASUU struggles. A day will come when he will nolonger be in that exalted position and the question will be asked of what he did to improve the system which has given him so much.
EducationRe: I Will Not Join ASUU Strike - Suny Edeko, Dean, Faculty Of Law, AAU by Gravy: 6:58pm On Nov 05, 2018
Everything the Prof mentioned that where done by the FG in his University were products of ASUU struggle. Without ASUU strikes there won't be Tetfund neither will there be NEEDS Assessment. These are the two intervention funds currently being used in trying to bridge the infrastructural gaps in our public Universities. The Prof should atleast have acknowledged what ASUU's struggles has done for the University system.
FamilyRe: Should I Marry This Man? by Gravy: 11:27pm On Jul 29, 2016
OP, I think the major cause of ur problem is that the young man is yet to graduate not to talk of working yet. No Nigerian family supports their son talking about marriage when he is still in school. They will expect d son to first work for some few years before marriage. The only exceptions are mostly families that have only 1 son and in most cases they are also very rich. Your guy talking about marriage in this stage only makes u an enemy to d family and u will be treated as such. The question for u then is if u are prepared to av ur husband totally estranged from his family. If not, then listen to ur parents.
