victorD3: Who is wole Soyinka? Is he a cultist? It's official,he is your father. |
thorpido: In as much as i would want couples to work out differences in their relationships,i really want to hear from you guys if it involves a man beating his wife. From the experience I have garnered, men who beat up their wives started such an act even before they got married. It is pretty difficult for such a man to stop it. Counsel from folks(relations and friends)rarely work if the man has not genuinely seen the need to control his temper, treat his wife properly and follow this thought decisively. To the lady who got abused,in as much as I don't support divorce or separation when couples wrangle. I'll advise her to take out some time, weigh the pros and cons, make every effort to make the marriage work with her husband. If the man is unwilling to change, she should take a leave from the marriage while she still has her life intact. Lastly, like debrief has suggested she should also go for professional counselling. |
Crazy world. |
The stats of women and ladies who have been abused keep growing. This abuse usually takes the shape of battery and sexual assault. When it involves a husband and his wife, you find husbands pointing fingers at the woman as being the source of provocation. Other times, the wife accuses her husband of beating her up with little or no provocation. Violence and abuse against ladies transcends married women, girls are also involved. Tradition and religious bodies seem to lend little or no voice to curbing this situation. What is the way out? |

Dede1: You are one among many reasons Nigeria is a dead-end piece of junk. Achebe was and remained one of few major contributors to Africa’s progress. You are too ignorant to even begin to comprehend Achebe’s contribution to the progress of entire African continent. In USA, authors of text books that hold rare knowledge are valued more than an idiotic politician who claimed to have granted free education, built TV Station, roads, bridges or stadia by using public fund. An author used his\her natural endowment, time and money to publish books so that drooling airheads such you had the opportunity to spew crap. You're simply stupid. So much hate and bitterness in your comment.Make it a tad constructive next time...Achebe did a terrific job in placing Nigeria on the world's literary map.I feel he was indifferent toward the Nigeria project. |
martin1772: Those guys really played nonsense, i wonder how they managed to get the afcon cupGreetings Mr.Thomas. |
Congrats man.Just wondering whether this union will keep Tubaba from making more babies with other women. |

Please how do we revive this young man that sacrifice himself for the growth of this country, this young man that made this country proud in his days.It also touches me,that's all I can give for now. |
Reyginus: I just hope you understand the implication of answering yes. By implication, the basic rules of science will also hold in the spiritual. You forgot that metaphysical laws are not to obey physical laws but otherwise. This set of scientific explanations the spiritual agrees with, does it include physical proof? To keep you unstained, it must.Make una dey deceive una selves say una sabi stuff.Don't derail this thread...real spiritual phenomenon?or urban legend? No decisive reply, you check out or go create your topic...I wonder why simple things are so difficult for some Nigerians to comprehend. |
Reyginus: Not really that it dissappeared. The thing will become like that of a newborn.Fallacy. |
