Family pictures have been obtained, of the foreigner, George Soare, who was arrested and has been arraigned and remanded in prison for mobilizing soldiers to beat a lady identified as Diva, in Lagos.

Now new details have emerged, of what actually happened. It was gathered that Diva wasn’t even the person that had a misunderstanding with Soare’s Nigerian wife at their No 5, Falilat shomade street, Lekki home, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. .

It was revealed that the misunderstanding was between the wife and a neighbor who Diva was visiting. According to other neighbors, Soare’s wife was fond of pouring water on them anytime there was a dispute and the lady only reacted that day, having had enough.

However, the man was said to have brought in four soldiers and ordered them to flog the neighbor, but since they couldn’t find her, they descended on her visitor, Diva. .

The victim was later whisked away and warned against reporting the incident if she doesn’t want to the shot. Meanwhile, the neighbors that witnessed the inhumane treatment rushed Diva to the hospital and got the police involved. .

Soare appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded in Ikoyi Prison pending when Diva would fully recover. The government and some NGOs are said to have taken over the case to ensure justice.

I am a young man in my thirties and she should be in the same range(I didn't ask her about her age because I don't really lay emphasis on age). We are from neighbouring towns.

As my heading reads, recently I met a lady online and we have been communicating well and I noticed she ticked most of the boxes of what I want in a woman.

Prior to now, I told myself I will stay away from anything woman because I just started a business last year and I want it to grow and balance before thinking of any thing women or marriage.

A member of the Oyo State Security Network also known as Amotekun Corps has shot a police officer in Oyo town.

DAILY POST gathered that the police officer, Mr. Fatai Yekini was shot by an Amotekun Corps member identified as Ibrahim Ogundele at the Sanga area of Oyo town on Saturday.

Ogundele is a male officer working with the Amotekun Corps at Isale-Oyo area while Mr. Yekini is a Special Police Constabulary attached to Ojongbodu police station


A source told DAILY POST on Sunday that Yekini was shot on his left leg at a very close range, around 3:00pm on the 2nd January 2021.

The source said Yekini was taken to the Oyo State General hospital in the Owode area of Oyo.

As at the time of filing this report on Sunday, the police officer is reportedly still receiving treatment at the hospital.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi confirmed the incident.


Fadeyi told DAILY POST on Sunday that the incident happened when the police officers at Ojongbodu Division were responding to calls to dislodge some youths who were staging a carnival.

He added that the Amotekun Corps member has been detained at the police station for further interrogation.

Fadeyi said, “Yes, this happened when the Police personnel at Ojongbodu Division, Oyo were responding to calls to dislodge recalcitrant youths staging a carnival after several warnings that such should not be staged.

“The Amotekun personnel has since been arrested and currently being investigated at Ojongbodu Police station.”
