God Almighty, the totality of existence doesn't need to do any cleansing. Humans on earth, being parts of God Almighty, are charged with the responsibilities of making the cleansing. For example, if I don't want humans to keep doing evil, I put in all my efforts to curb it. If we all do the same, the world will be cleansed to a particular level. Anything humans decide becomes what God(Existence) on the part of the earth here will be.
