Can you please list all the matches that Mourinho "shoe-horned Ukaku into the LB position EVERY NOW AND THEN"?. Since you love facts, it shouldn't take you time to list about 4 matches this has happened because judging from your "every now and then" words, this tactic has been happening for a long time now.

Please, I don't need one example, I need multiple examples. Also note that, in the Brighton match, Ukaku was never shoehorned into the LB position.

When Zlatan was brought in for Mourinho, Ukaku moved to the wings. In the new set-up, Ukaku was no longer a CF, but a winger/wing-forward. In a 4-2-3-1 formation, the winger serves as an extra layer of protection in front of the full-back behind him when the team is defending. That's exactly what happened. Ukaku lost the ball in his winger position and tracked back like every other winger does to help Valencia out to thwart the threat. How's that "shoehorning" Ukaku into a LB?

Or you'd have preferred Ukaku to be lackadaisical and allow Valencia to be exposed so that should Brighton equalise you'd be here with your fellow Shekpites to party?
Hehehe. Someone isn't happy with our normal faaji grin

'The way Romelu wins the corner for the goal, the way Romelu ends the game making tackles in the left -back position , that is the mentality I want' - Mourinho

you have got to admit our football started deteriorating just recently which is annoying I must admit but much emphasis would not be placed on that of we go on to win the league. No doubt it gives you joy when you play very well and win but if this is how we want to be winning our games and gaining all 3 points, then fine, because it looks like we have forgotten how to play football

I am disgusted by how we have played for the past weeks but I can't fret much since we are winning and still in the title race
Goals are the currency of football, but they tell us little about teams’ modi operandi. We at Chelsea used to think Jose Mourinho was doing us good with his philosophy of winning at cost, but no we were wrong.

A true Utd fan knows that Jose isn't defining characteristic with his bunker style of play. It's not distinctive.

It would have made more sense if we were not second on the log, I'm not saying there is no sense in what you are saying though, cause it is true that Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham are playing better football than us but when you look at where these teams are on the log it just goes to show that outscoring your opponents move you up the table not playing better football

you get my point, right?
This was all I needed to see Mr Jemi.

I didn't throw down the gauntlet on this playing style thing, the debate is already on out there. I just wanted to bring it down here and make it clear that Utd are nowhere near the likes of City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs in terms of playing good football.

That claim shouldn't be taken personal like Capitalcunt did, I came stating fact, and you know how much I love FACT.

Below are your legends complaining about manyoo's style of play, I don't see anyone reminding them that Utd are second on the log. Context please. No one made mention of position on the log. What I expect you brilliant minds to do is to convince me how manyoo are more of a ball playing side compared to Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea.

No one is looking at the log here. You can't argue that Valencia are more of a ball playing side than Real Madrid because they are occupying the second spot on the la liga table whilst Real are not.

Stick to context. Manyoo dey play ball pass Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea?

5. When your tortoise of a keeper has more clean sheets than DDG.

Few days ago I had an argument with someone I couldn't even remember, he said spurs, pool and Chelsea will overtake us on the strength of playing "better football " this is just because we won ooo 1-0 versus Brighton( this is the first time this season apart from spurs game we are scoring 1 at home).
These teams have already surpassed you lot in playing attacking football.

These teams dominated you the last time you squared up against them. As a matter of fact, your manager drove the red long bus down to centers like the Bridge and Anfield.

Every passing week, these teams give fans something to cheer about - good football, something that can't be said about manyoo.

Your fellow mancucian needs to be reminded that Lukaku was finding the onion bag barely 2 months ago, times when you lot were playing attacking football.

How did he now become profligate for it to be something to be worried?

What/who is responsible for his goal drought? Belgian spell or the FA?

The answer to this isn't far-fetched.

I wonder sometimes what Mourinho might have done wrong that he gets blamed for virtually everything wrong with United.

Now, Mourinho is being blamed for Ukaku's profligacy. Yes, Mourinho might have played a part with his tactics which made Ukaku ineffective in some matches, but blaming Mourinho for everything wrong with Ukaku's recent loss in form, is just so wrong.

Was Mourinho the reason Ukaku missed shocking chances last night?

Was Ukaku in the left-back position last night when he missed those chances?

Ukaku has missed shocking clear-cut chances while IN THE 18-YARD BOX and Mourinho is to be blamed? I don't get it.

Negative tactics like that of our match against Chelsea or Loserfool can be blamed on Mourinho, coz his tactics wouldn't favor any striker at all, but Ukaku firing into the stands during Brighton match when he could have done better by placing the ball to the upper-right corner of the post, is not Mourinho's fault. Ukaku missed those chances coz he's technically not THAT good. He's still far off from being world-class. Last night, we played attacking football, Ukaku was in the opponents' box and missed the chance. What do you expect Mourinho to do? Teach Ukaku how to score in 18-yard boxes?

And for your info, Ukaku's profligacy worries us, even United fans have called for him to be dropped for Ibra, if that's not a concern, I don't know what else it is.
This is your response:

How can you be expecting your number 9 to play left back against freaking Brighton.?

You're not unhappy that your 80m man has only scored 1 goal in 10 games.

You're not unhappy that you had to rely on a wildly deflected own goal for the win against plumbers and electricians from the south coast.

Andreas Christensen one of those defenders who you never notice, can barely tell he’s playing as he just deals with stuff with the absolute minimum of fuss, never ruffled, so composed and an innate defensive intelligence

Can we now say goodbye to David Luiz?
I've seen couple of old clips and I'm trying to match Christensen's style of play with that of the finest defenders of all time.

I think he comes more in the mould of Bobby Moore, Ruud Krol, Gaetano Scirea and to a considerable extent, Baresi.

Just like Christensen, these were men who forged a reputation on breaking up play with class and ease, knew when to dive into a tackle and when to stay on their feet, knew when to go with the long passing and how to stay classy at the heart of the defence.

You hardly notice his works at the back, but just one testimony from Lukaku would clear all doubts about his abilities.

Luiz can hang around and learn from the Dane, albeit in old age. The Brazilian can be trusted to do a good shift against teams who are questioning their own existence.

Man Utd in that lineup have no plan to attack PSG, they only bank on goals from long balls towards Rashford or Lukaku and Isolating them vs the PSG backling or through deadballs since he has about 6players over 6ft (Lukaku, Rashford Fellaini, Matic, Pogba Smalling

This was the lineup Chelsea used to beat Barca in 2012
Iva-Terry Cahiil cole
-Mikel-Lampard-Meireles
--Mata--Drogba Ramires

Where is the width in that lineup, Is there anyone as pacey as Rashford in that lineup
This team was coached by DiMatteo and beat Guardiola the greatest active attacking coach, SO are you saying Mourinho the owner of parking the bus manual cannot pull this against Emery
Chelsea won through lady luck, we were outplayed badly. Tactically, we were sodomized, same thing I'm pointing out in your manyoo line-up vs PSG.

Deploying such tactic against a complete side would only see you bank on lady luck to scale through, as there flaws in it that will be exploited.

A 4-5-1 is even your best bet at getting something against a team that is highly better. Make things difficult for them in the middle, have your men behind the ball, play to reject space, then hit them on the counters. Just the Jose way.

Who on the chelsea thread sabi ball reach me?

Man Utd will face PSG

Valencia-- Bailly- Jones--Rojo
-----Matic---Herrera --Fellani
-------------Pogba--
--------Lukaku---Rashford
The flaws of this set-up is that:

1. It lacks an inherent width.
2. It's built to control & dominate play, something manyoo aren't good at.

PSG can beat this set-up by simply:

1. Exploiting the flanks. I'll have a wide playing forward line of Di Maria - Neymar - Mbappe on this one. I expect Di Maria and Mbappe to function as wingers, this is to close down Valencia and Rojo, thereby taking away manyoo's chances of creating goals from the wings. Having pinned deep their full-backs, it's expected that Dani Alves and Kurzawa would be making occasional surging runs. They've got free space to operate, so I'll have them double up on manyoo's full-backs and create the chances Neymar would need to bury the goals.

On the attack:

Valencia Rojo

^ ^
^ ^
^ ^
Kurzawa - Mbappe Di Maria - D. Alves

2. Hoard the ball. With four men in their midfield, it would be torrid playing free flowing footie in the middle of the park. So the best I can come up with is to try retaining possession as much as I can so as to have them tired out. Verrati will be handed the deep-lying playmaker role whilst attending to Pogba - manyoo's only genuine threat in that midfield.

Rabiot and Pastore will both play in front of Verrati, operating more as wide midfielders and keeping the defensive wall of Matic, Fellaini and Herrera busy.

The sauce in my game plan is that I've overloaded the flanks, nullified Pogba, and rendered Lukaku and Rashford hapless in the hands of born assassins like Thiago Silva and Marquinhos.

E fit reach 3nil by the time I bring on Cavani for Neymar and Draxler for DI Maria cool
