Conte is seriously denying us. |
Didn't see the game, been travelling all day! |
iykmora:Na true sef. Where the hell is Loic Remy by the way? |
Finally, we are after Kante's signature. |
Ibime:Man I wont mind dealing Pato + £20m for Ibra. I've got a question, is it really necessary to have directors of football? A pal of mine who is a fellow blue was writing on his blog and he had this to say: "For me, splitting personnel and playing is downright weird; can there really be a strict line btw what a coach/manager and a GM/director of footballer does? After all, by far the biggest part of the team is the players, players who will carry out a manager's vision. Surely that manager knows who those players need to be? By the time you become a manager, you've been living, breathing and sleeping football talent for decades." So why do we need the Emenalos and Sabatini of these world? Shouldn't Conte be in charge of our signings? Cc: Nateevs, Nihilist, FBS, et al your views are needed. |
AdeLaNa1:What nonsense is this? Rooney is the highest paid footballer in the country and Depay arrived with much hype, why can't we compare their stats? If the two can't outscore a defender and a mediocre of a defensive midfielder, then I wonder why you're hell-bent on dragging Hazard's name to the mud. Moreover, Hazard was voted the best player in the country last season by the virtue of what he did last season not this season, so what are you on about? |
SmoothCruiz:Murder was the case. I hope that biatch doesn't ponder suicide. Good one homie. |
These lot only 'seized' chances, and believe me, such chances doesn't come around always. Nothing beats working on a worthy idea. Knowing where you are driving to and giving it your very best shots. |
The best you can do with your money is to invest it wisely. |
A defence is only as strong as its weakest link, and Baba Rahman is that link. Could it be that the nervy Ghanaian only played on Saturday v Stoke cos confidence-to-the-point-of-arrogance Kenedy was injured? I hope the Brazilian stays fit for tomorrow's clash, the lad would definitely help us keep a good defensive shape. |
sleekdot:The Central midfield is not just a position but an area of the pitch. When you tag Iniesta a CM, be sure to tell if he's operating as a DM, a box-to-box midfielder or an AM. That said, on paper Iniesta is unproductive but every seasoned footie pundit knows that is hardly true. The ninja is more of an orchestra conductor - engine room, one shouldn't expect him to be posting figures anyhow. |
Ibime:Sentiment is for suckers and Dayokanu isn't far from it. Niggi would say about anything to discredit you and stand clean, that has been him for the last five years. Like the old saying goes "Wolves lose their teeth but not their nature". Raumdeuter and Sleekdot can't just better Dayokanu - the original cretino version ![]() |
Word is that the allegedly incoming Chelsea manager Conte will be handed a £130 million war-chest upon his arrival in SW6. How true folks? |
According to Corriere dello Sport, Abramovich has told the Blues squad that Conte will definitely be in charge from next season. The Russian is said to have held a team meeting at the club's training ground in Cobham during which he made the announcement. |
Ramuzaki? Hehehe. Arabic innit? ![]() |
It has to be said though, a 3-5-2 would hardly accommodate folks like Hazard, Terry, Pedro, Cahill, Mikel, and Rahman Baba, so from an angle, a major overhaul could be on the cards. At the back, the centre-backs don't have the constant reference point so they have to be a very well-drilled unit, combining qualities likes strength in the air, good tackling, mobility and confidence. A limited defender like Cahill who simply tackle and clear would be in danger of becoming redundant if Conte arrives unless the Englishman decides to change his game overnight. My ideal combo would be: Ivanovic - Zouma - Aymeric Laporte The wing-backs will have to move up field to support the midfield and be involved in the build-up when we're with the ball and would have to spring back to support the defence when we're without the ball, so. . . My ideal combo would be: Cesar at the right, Willian at the left (Yes Willian!) My three-man central midfield which will line up in a variant of a triangle would be a mix of vision, power and cohesion. My ideal combo in that case would be: a rejuvenated Matic or Naingollan - Fabregas - Koke or Vidal (Dayokanu die). The two net busters? My ideal combo would be Costa - Harry Kane (Get Levy drunk and break the bank for the English lad I say). Except that I'm not Conte and there's no chance of me getting a call from Roman Abramovich. |
hensben:A formation would work in any league if only executed well. Would you claim that European football was slow paced when LvG won the Champions League with Ajax in 1995 using the 3-4-3 formation? Or that the 2014 WC was slow paced when he LVG finished 3rd with Netherlands using the 3-man defence line? It wasn't about the league or competition, it was about the tools at LvG's disposal and how effective they responded to instructions. Van Gaal may not have helped himself at times during his early days at manyoo, but it was a tough gig. And if you want a measure of how tough it was, you need to take a closer look at the mediocrity that resides in that manyoo's team. Conte can come along with his 3-5-2 if he cares. It's a formation that places a lot of emphasis on space; maximising your own and restricting that of your opponent, and I believe with the acquisition of a weed-smoking defensive midfielder we can do just fine in it. |
According to reports, LvG is seriously demanding a 'horn¥' display from his lads. Now that got me wondering, are the fans supposed to get in the mood and come along with dildOs and condoms? |
Candreva and Vidal rumoured to be Conte's potential signings if he seals his move to SW6. Bring them on I say. |
Pataki:Let us be realistic here. A heavy blow to the head certainly moves the brain, go ask any neurologist you know, and when the brain hits the inside of the skull, damage occurs. So imagine 40 getting repeatedly hit in the head very hard, the net effect is dementia. But I strongly believe he is nowhere near that ish, he isn't, he is a strong dude. |
Your reason is damn weak. |
Vivalavida99:Lad has been sold and shipped out. |
