How can we put an end to the incessant e-fights and supremacy battles between this two southern tribes?

I think it's time to make peace so we can unite and take over the leadership of this country. The north keeps dominating the south politically because they are united and they exploit the divisions in the south for their political benefits. Let's sheath our swords and embrace peace.

Yoruba and igbo rivalry on Nairaland ends today

Mr op,,, it seemz yu just read my diary..because i once thought about doing this samething..
Virtually 90% naija dudes have experienced what you have just posted..and as for me personally i understand very well wah yu feeling...
But the choice depends on wha yu want... But my advice is,, you will have to get married no matter what.. Having a child withoout her mother close by is just a time bomb and not advice able at all... But definitely not with the lady you kave just described... It only shows she doesnt love you,, she started giving u audience when she knows things has started changing financially... An eye opener for yu bruhh... Look for another gurl that accept yu for who yu were b4 yu start making it...

#Mypiece...
Bro, I understand. Do I have to start living a life of showing off just because I want to be accepted?

Forget what anyone tell you. No girl in current day Nigeria will EVER think about giving an audience if you look like you have nothing.

It"s cold hard, bitter pill of reality!
RomanceWould I Be Wrong, Bad, Evil If I Do This? by groomed(op): 1:28am On Jul 26, 2016
For sometime now, the thoughts of just have kid(s) while the girl go her way has been on my mind--not fully in effect yet but it keeps coming to mind.

In the current state of events in this country, the average Nigerian equates possessions to mean you are successful. It is the yardstick people use to determine whether to date you or not.

Looking at my own life and things I have experienced with Nigerians girls, I do not think getting married after all will bring me happiness anymore. I had a girl left and for more than 3 years I was on her neck trying to resolve issues but she never really gave me a chance, nor did she want to have a meeting with me, no matter how much i requested for it. This went on until I revealed some changes about my personal life which was different from what she knew -- of course it is financially inclined. The story has changed after that day.

At that point of discovery, every feelings I had for her died. Similar occurrences have taken place and I began to question the existence of people on earth where love is hinge on possessions. I mean can't you just love someone unconditionally because you know that they truly love you? How about getting to really know them, everything you can, before you judge? Is there anything wrong if you start from somewhere with a guy whom you know is very determined?

Yeah, all those no longer count in today's Nigeria.

Would I be wrong to just have kids and let the girl go? I mean being a single dad isn't a bad idea is it?

I would always have that feeling that I am loved because of what I have. My experience in life has resulted to this and my sister was shocked the day I told her about my plan. She begged me not to try it but I am afraid it might just happen. She has always known me to be the cool headed, focus, loving person. I had gone on to spend my last dime for my siblings with zero left in account.

Since most Nigerian girls now make it seem like it's business, I think we should start signing contracts IMO. Don't get me wrong, I am the most loving and romantic person you find in movies, but sadly, I tend to hide that part of me due to events of Nigerian life. Like said, I will always feel she won't be with me if I had nothing.

No Money, No Love...

That's the Africa mentality. There is nothing God can not do, but there are a lot he Will not do because he has giving us all what we need to succeed.
wow... just wow. I thought I am the only one with this reasoning that God will NEVER solve problems that he knows we can solve.

Thanks. That's the angle I'm coming from. The average Nigerian would rather blame unseen spiritual forces for things that can be solved with the brain.
I believe that there are spiritual forces BUT rarely in call cases.

There are somethings beyond human explanations and I have been at a place where lightening struck with louvers closed, killed it victim by passing through an opening without destroying the louvers. It came with the loudest thunder I have ever heard since I was born.

Somethings are beyond us.

But I can't deny the fact that lots of Nigerians believe everything is spiritually inclined. It's due to African culture

You better open your mouth and tell her what exactly you want if you're really serious. I can assure you that the babe is spreading her wings, she will send you her wedding IV in a few months and you will start telling stories that touch... grin
I had wanted to reply this but forgot

It seems like you didn't understood what wrote earlier or you missed it completely.

I have "opened my mouth to tell her what I want" but her response isn't encouraging at all. She is the one not saying "what she wants"

Sometimes she would use words like "it's in God's hands" or "we will talk about it later"

However when I talked about visiting a place like Obudu together, she has no problem with that and she is willing to go.

So, what do you call this?

I can also testify that the op is right...

The thing is most of us guys would have pictured a lady to be very decent, cool and marriage worthy from their looks and character, but we forget that most of these girls are not really ready for something serious, they also want some fun for a period of time and then move on to the next guy they admire that comes after them, most of them fall within the age bracket18 to24.... It is not your fault but what that want..

Do not be surprised most ladies coming here to deny are like that or were once like that.
Some have wished to be forked by a guy that isn't their boy friend, some have been forked by guys who isn't their boyfriend

stop thinking I am hopping from one girl to the other.

Since I started dating the number has not exceeded 5 girls bro, which means I am not a womaniser, neither am I a player.

The problem currently is like being serious does not work with some girls. You have to know what works and apply it. It's that simple.
RomanceRe: What Women Really Want In Relationships by groomed: 10:40am On Jul 22, 2016
PenAStory:
https://penastory.com/2016/07/12/what-women-really-want-in-relationships/

The question of what women want in a relationship has continued to be a troubling one for most men. Men often grumble or complain about how frustrating it is trying to figure out their wives or girlfriends because they can’t seem to get it right or do anything that pleases them. However what women want in a relationship is quite simple and some of them are listed below:

Respect: Treat her more than just a sex object or a pretty face, actually take time to consider her feelings and know how she feels. Women love being respected and when you treat her like a partner rather than another dumb blonde, you are going to endear yourself to her more. In respecting her you can do this through your actions, make her feel her contributions matter and treat her exactly the way you would like to be treated.

Intelligence: No one wants to be with a douche bag so you have to keep your intelligence rating on the high stand. Most times many women love to compete with their men so you have to be smart, answer most questions she asks you and be able to maintain a reasonable conversation. As much as many women find good looks physically attractive, being smart is just as sexy so when you open your mouth, be sure you know what you are saying. It is safer to be suspected stupid than to actually say stupid things.

Surprises: In surprising your woman, you have to be very careful and make sure you know her very well as timing is key when surprising her. A surprise date or whispering of sweet words at the oddest time is considered charming by most women. Make her feel special by buying her gifts she didn’t ask for and see that pleased look on her face.

Time: Believe me when I say she wants you to pay her attention so never be stingy with spending time with her. Devote time to getting to know her, spend time together and always make her feel like a priority rather than an option. The more time you spend with her, the more beautiful memories you are giving her and the closer you two can become.

Good Sex and Romance: Your sexual life with your woman is very important and you don’t have to feel under pressure to satisfy her. Relax and just pay attention to the things she likes. Many women like good sex so don’t let it be only about your own satisfaction, consider her feelings and always remember that it is supposed to always be a pleasurable experience for you too. Don’t just do it and stand up, spice it up for her with cuddles and kisses. Relax in bed with her and just talk lying their comfortably with each other. Spontaneity is also allowed as it keeps the excitement in your relationship.

Good Communication: Most men like to act rather than talk but it is essential to keep in mind that most women love talk. Many women talk nineteen to the dozen and one of the greatest skills you can have is your ability to be attentive. Women love when they can express their feelings, emotions, fears, hopes and desires in a relationship. Lack of communication in a relationship causes a disconnect in a relationship for most women so men with up to date communication skills have better chances with the women.

Sense of Humour: Women want fun in a relationship and a relationship should have a healthy dose of that. Every woman wants a man that can make her laugh and help her feel relaxed; no woman wants to be in a relationship that is dull. Funny people will be a preferable choice over grumpy people so they always like someone who can tell and take a joke.

Good Looks: Let’s admit it, most women have ideas of being swept off their feet by some handsome prince charming so it is only natural that good looks is one of their most sought after wants in a relationship. Women are often called the fairer sex for a good reason and they pay attention to how they look, they expect the same of their men so it won’t hurt to have a guy that is well groomed and wears good clothes.

Confidence: Your good looks are not enough to help you keep your woman, many women like their men confident. They want to know that you believe in yourself and that you are in charge. While they may not want to be bossed around by you, your confidence helps them believe in you and gives them a sense of security that you can be counted upon. Being around someone who believes in himself and who is always positive helps boost their own morale. In being confident, be sure not to overdo it so you don’t end up looking too cocky or egocentric.

We know it is not easy combining all of these traits that most women want in a relationship together but when a woman actually has a guy that is possess most of them, she wants to stick to him as he is most certainly a dream guy. The women love to be happy in a relationship and it is the duty of the man to also help strive in keeping her so.

I read they way some guys think about ladies and I am forced to ask myself what kind of person could be behind that moniker, there is a saying that you are what you attract. If you keep getting cheap pvssies and think all women are like that, then it shows alot about who you are, last time I checked like attracts like, as for the topic, just like all men are.not the.same, so all women are not the same so op figure out her type
This has nothing to do with "you are what you attract" BUT a case of "how the girls described in my OP wants it" and no, they are not hoes but well bred, easy going ladies.

Like I clearly stated, I like to define things from the word go IF I really respect and care about the lady in question. Would you blame me if defining it isn't appreciated? I tried defining and they didn't want that but seem okay with undefined one. So who is at fault here, if I may ask?
