Surely, this isn't the picture of your typical "local god".

All these don't change the fact that yahweh is Israel's local god.

That's because god is local.
Every nation, people and culture has their own god(s). You only embrace the god of Israel because your fathers were been told to abandon their gods, that they are false and evil gods and worhsip yahweh. Gods and religions were being exported as much as cultures so its no different from we wearing suit and tie today and call it coperate. He also intentionally said "scientist" told him his bone was old. Without mentioning that the same scientist gave him drugs and medical advice that got him "healed"

You're very correct, that was how a colleague of mine heard one testimony like that and threw away his drugs, his problem got worse and he went back for scan and the doctors told him his condition has became critical. He is back taking those drugs and still battling his pelvic problems till today. Let me not forget to add that he gave testimony when he threw those drugs away.
