bassdow: Oga, save yourself, and your finances the stress and get that NEPA wire sold by omo`ibo down the street.
Yea that same wire that draws light from the electric pole to your house. The coating of the wire is ash in colour.
A bundle should be more than enough though that depends on distance.
Cost of a bundle, is so much cheaper than that copper wire advertised as solar cable.
That wire would handle even 4pcs of 300w solar panels all in parallel.
But please feel free to buy the copper cable if your pocket no get wahala Boss please can you show me the type of wire you are talking about here. So as to know the particular one to buy |

Indaboskikoboko: How much would this roughly cost? A rough estimate on how much i should hold to atleast seriously start embarking on this project and finish on time Minimum 500k. There is no way you can get a 220ah battery less than 280k currently, 1kva inverter like 100k, charge controller 80k, solar panel that one is on drugs right now. Wirings and all nothing less tan 50k. You go spend pass 500k sef. |

bassdow: How sure are you that you wouldn't be needing more than 2pcs ? abi by then, you would scrap the cable for a much thicker one.
One thing about SOlar systems, if you purchase things without planning, or purchase things in bits, you end up spending much more For my current space I don’t think I can get more than 2 panals. Due to space and funds |

Valto: extremely wrong advice!!! u can't use low quality aluminium 16mm nepa wire on a solar panel please. he should get a 10mm pure copper flexible cable. 10mm would give me a chance to upgrade later? The installer quoted 6mm he said I would need 12meter and na 4k per meter. That’s why I come here say make I come ask my Oga’s here |

Jefferyzz: Efficiently? Yes but it will charge nonetheless I may agree with the person cause 1. Ure on a 12v system n ur panel working voltage will likely b below d required voltage that's needed for ur mppt to work(thats if ur CC is mppt), so ur mppt will function like pwm Are u using a lead acid battery? If yes, ur battery won't get to float with just 1 300w n u will soon start noticing capacity drop Decided to go with a 300watt panel but does any one know if I can get a mppt charge controller less that 40k? |

Just a fan and charging my laptop when it is low. Please, with my current system. How do you advise me to proceed? Tho, I won’t be using the system for long cos I plan to change my inverter and increase my battery as money Dey show. But right now I need Solar to charge my system so I won’t on gen to always charge |

Valto: at this day and age, people still de buy lead acid battery for 300k, quanta 420k.. how much is my 135ah and 150ah lifepo4 lithium battery cells again, that will last atleast 10yrs Please what's the price? |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 3:31pm On Feb 18, 2024 |
bassdow: A single 300Watts solar panel would do. And starting with a 300Watts solar panel paves way for easy upgrade of solar Panels in the future as you just add more Solar panels of same wattage.
You didn't state if your 100AH batttery is Dry/Wet acid battery or Lithium: because if it's not Lithium battery, the lowest you can run it without negatively making the battery cry is 50% which translates to 50AH. in practice, should a client require 100AH battery for their load, I suggest them 200AH; should they require 50AH, I recommend 100AH.
it's called the 50% rule BUT you know what, if possible, don't even allow the battery go lower than 20%.
Another thing is, most of those external battery chargers do a very bad work of correctly charging the battery so much so that soonerThanLater, that battery go die. e fit get beller join sef.
Would suggest buying a cheap PWM charge controller, and pair it between the battery, and your battery charger. haven't done this myself but it was an idea that got into my head, I suggested it in here, and someone confirmed it works.
At end of the day, it's just so much cheaper relying on solar panels, that other ways to reCharge your batteries. You even enjoy the sun during the day, while others complain. thank you for your input boss. My battery is a dry acid battery. |

Good day everyone, please I need your inputs. I just set up a 100ah battery with a 1000watt sachet inverter and a 10amps battery charger. I want to add Solar panel to it something that can charge my battery full and I can also use to run my fan and laptop during the day. What watt of Solar panel should I get? Note I don’t let my battery drain past 12.0v |

You want to sell a one year old battery for 100k? Battery wey no dey pass 5hrs with a 150watt load? Be playing tipsy242: have a 220mah Mpower Tubular fairly used battery for sale (bought newly January 2022). Selling price is 100k. Reason for sale is because I'm getting an upgraded inverter setup with two identical batteries and i was advised not to use two new batteries with used one. The battery is still in quite a good condition, with a minimum backup time of at least 5 hours on over 150watts of power (this is the reason i don't wish to sell it as scrap).
