nice.one:
why do people love painting any thing Nigeria  black. did the previous winners of the Mr Nigeria pageant did badly in the world stage? for your info Ikenna Brian okwara the Ist niaja rep made it to the semis in the world stage in 2007 while Kenneth okoli, the second niaja rep was the second runners up in 2010. so what da fuss about. Atleast at this stage, with their experience they know the demands of the competition in the world stage. the competition is not all about how cute, how macho, how prominent your packs are but also includes how intelligent, how smart, how well you carry yourself, how composed, how strong you can be in a physical exercise etc. all these are the essential ingredient of a  real mr.

though Bakare may not be as eye catching as his two predecessors, but let just give him a chance. nobody knows what may happen in the world stage.
E be like say you dey VEX ooh. I gree the predecessors try BUT when a thing is black we MUST call it BLACK aaaaaaah.

What's your say on the female pageant. Since Agbani. Any show ?

CRAP. Guys' face and skin all look rough.

Nonesense. I get the Feeling The Bruce just enjoy making crazy money out of this. Course All the Winners they sponsor tot world competition are far from beauty or macho in anyway. I they know it.

The female part is the worse. Compare the ugly ducks they send to Miss world to the beauties from Brazil, America abi na Barbados or Jamaica, , SAD

BusinessRe: Why Nigeria May Remain Underdeveloped - Sanusi by Guardian(m): 1:48pm On Oct 31, 2011
Sanusi is a good politician. Excellent at making the news headline with news we already know.  Going about getting awards. But that's well played,  he is endearing himself to keep his job for longer he doesn't fool me.

If he was such a patriot and cared so much about Nigeria he ought to be restraining The presidency from drawing on excess crude account for irrelevant and uneconomic spending.  He is the Bank manager of the country and knows where all the monies come from and go.

All I want him to do is fix the foreign currency mess and exchange rate !!! If he can then I know he is good.

Smart Asss Sanusi, When he complained about the legislators why didn't he go all out to fight them for too much expenses.
EducationRe: Confused About University Schooling In Nigeria by Guardian(m): 1:13pm On Oct 31, 2011
Think first of the quality of education you would get and measure against what you gain.

Better put contrast between the acceptance of your qualification from a US vs Nigeria in any part of the world.

Then make a choice

sgb U dey try but your diversionary measures and tactics have failed to work. Settle the qualification issue with your Alma mater and yourself for the choice you made.

Eeeehn Poster as you posted.

My view.

1. Eat, shit and piss codes that can create anything. ( C++ and Java )
2. Start-off developing your own version of every commercially viable/ off-the-shelf software. When you are comfortable with your ability.
3. When you have achieved all these> Go to a school of innovation. references MIT (US), Georgia Tech (US), Birmingham (UK) Learn well.
4. Go To India and understudy them for 2yrs MAX
5. Come back home to Niaja. I bet by now you would have gotten the know-how to setup a software company and release a killer product.

TRUST ME I'm in I.T and I just told you what would make you Excel- WorldClass and compet with the Indians. Not 9aija levels.

Ohhh as per money. Get a cozy apartment convert to office with Accommodation. You also need the hands of 2-3 guy that share your mind set and ideas.

Software development No be beans. You need hands.

Now place a cost on all these and you have what it would cost you.

What's all the holabaloooooooooo !and insult,  comcombility all about.  I  am flabberwhelmed. I barely left you for a few hours. And I see mud thrown in the air,  insult and stepping on toes has been the order of the day. STOP IT.

This is a simple matter. No grudges.

We already have a near CODE RED situation and we lack the physical, moral and economic resource to put in place a welfare system that can handle our present POPULATION !!

As I told ATLGal before,  push the proposal I made and let's get doing something. Tax is the easiest check for this growing menace of breeding without thinking of the future.

While some views here are of the opinion that TAX must be levied on any and all KIDS born,  I see this as a crude barrier to PROCREATION/FAMILY GROWTH in the first place. And a negative impediment on the right to desire and have a child. Surely this would impact on those who are indeed genuinely poor. Therefore it was only wise to allow Tax Free Child birth. BUT with a cap that deters indiscriminate PROCREATION and POPULATION Growth without regard for the future.  I meant well by allowing 2 kids free and also ensuring that the TAX was on their income. Simple. No Religious Gbam gbam !! No Sex Discrimination !!! You pay for what you want.

See my proposed Law is Fair.

People who give birth at home or in a different state? ANS : Births must be registered at medial place of birth and/or Local Government office for Population

smiley No Escape Local government is close to every villager. smiley EVen of you born for house go LGA.

The Law Allows you only 2 Kids, Else pay TAX.

If you don't have money don't violate the Law. Else , We have to think of a good deterrent for those who would pose and try to deceive us with their poverty state but yet still reproduce like Elede smiley

Oya You come up with a solution to deter them.

As for registration we would apply all measures. If no certificate of Birth No school, No Free Education, , Later we would get cash for moire sophisticated mechinery to capture. See the case of SIM Registration in Naija it's all a fools bluff but at least they succeed in scaring a number of people to register and I bet 70% of user are registered. The same applies my dear. In mean time attend to deterrant.

ATLgal:
I see your point. How would u implement it? Who go report delivery? What if thr family no get income? Where tax money go come from?
Now we are moving forward.

We go amend another Law. That states thus.

"All births and deaths as required by Federal constitution of Nigeria must be registered at medial place of birth and Local Government office for Population."

All Hospitals must show records of Births and Death. Failure to do so shall attract harsh penalities, which shall include. Withdrawal of Practice license of registration at all known regulatory body Gbam !!!

Guardian, urs is a case of emotion with no basis. What if they have 9 kids and all die?
How many women get preg with triplets with no fertility treatment? Now how many require fertity treatment? Quit looking for extreme cases and presenting them as the norm.
AtlantaBabe,
The Proposed Law is simple. U can have 2 kids free of Tax. Once the pikin pass 2 !! Gbam !!! You must pay TAX. Trust me it would world.

It's free from any religious qurrel and no Muslim, Christian, Hindu, White Garment, Ogun, Shango , Worshipper would tell me it's an attack.

Interesting policy but what if a couple that has the maximum number of children granted (which is two) yet one child dies in infancy or early in life, are they thus permitted to have another child - and not be taxed as their tally will still be within the required bracket?

. . .and what if someone was pregnant with triplets, would the couple be taxed for one of the children born?

I assumed there was a relationship between polygamy and population growth and that perhaps in a polygamous household more children were likely to be born than in a monogamous one. Having done a minimum research I believe there are quite some holes in that theory and other factors to still consider.
APPLICATION & INTERPRETATION:

In case 1:   what if a couple that has the maximum number of children granted (which is two) yet one child dies in infancy or early in life, are they thus permitted to have another child - and not be taxed ?   YES Their present count is within the count allowed by Law

In case 2: what if someone was pregnant with triplets, would the couple be taxed for one of the children born ?   YES their Present count exceeds the number allowed by Law

Thus: Where the Law applies. The number/count of child/children is the number of living children from either male or female citizen.

People Adopt my policy oooh
PoliticsRe: One Spouse Policy? by Guardian(m): 10:14am On Oct 21, 2011
Solution is simple.

Introduce Tax Per extra Child.

I propose the following amendment to the constitution.

A citizen of Nigeria shall have the right to bear and have two children only.

A male or Female citizen who has two children but desires an extra child/children may apply for the permission to have an extra child/children. Where proper application has been made and granted he/she can proceed to procreate and bear more than two children allowed by law.

With the exclusion of two children granted by Law any additional child will require either/both parent to pay 20% annual Tax fee on the income of both parent.

I very much hail the break thru. But I hope African leaders and health persons would ensure we don't become guinea pigs suffering with irreversible side effects.

Side effects hardly show up at first or second clinical trials. And even when done, eager Pharmaceutical coys are good at hiding damaging test results. In Africa they would have a filled day.

How about a review of the performance of nigerian players home based?
Is it not time we stopped making this foreign based average players feel super?
They put on sterling performances for their clubs yet they could nt fly the naija flag high when it matters most.
I Agree.

And I wonder why Nigerians continue to blame their coaches for Failure.

I wait to hear of the day Nigerian's would blame and deal with the Hyped foreign based for dismal performance of Nigerian teams
PoliticsRe: Why Are Northern Governors Not Declaring Free Education For Their Kids. by Guardian(m): 12:57pm On Oct 18, 2011
Plain and simple. The Northern Leaders are all educated. This we know.

The Northern Governors have simply refused to allow free education because it would empower the populace and ultimately their influence and power become threatened.

In the North, the majority of the Educated are the Elite !! and the Elite control and they continue to ensure that their children are sent to some of the best schools in the world so as to remain influential and gain access to power.

You all need not dig in further.

How could they make the biggest mistake of empowering the low leveled or masses to gain education ?
GamingRe: Renting Games In Nigeria by Guardian(m): 5:42pm On Oct 14, 2011
ogagusps3:
If there was a place or store just like they have abroad where one can pay a subscription E.g 5k/month then you can rent games they have in stock for 300 naira each. Won't that solve the average Nigerian gamers problem of expensive original games. We no longer have to wait for a hack to get all our games.
You are far from reality oooh. grin

Na only home-video we bin dey try rent. But as you well know the actors where getting popular and still lived below the hype and jumped into molue.
The renters and pirators and piratee where having a filled day.

Lastly if person borrow your Game and duplicate it. ( Thank God for modern Laptops with DVD super drives grin ) What would happen to your business ?
