PoliticsRe: Fashola Commissions 72 Units Of 3 Bedroom Flats by Guardian(m): 5:13pm On Oct 14, 2011
All these una Buhaha !!.

Fashola is doing his bit. Erecting a house nowadays cost much more than the days of Pa Jakunde. The Government project in Lagos is now weighed and decided based on economic importance and gains. Not if the masses have access to it.

The solution to the Accommodation wahala is simple and in the hands of Fashiola,

1. Sign off and open up more landed areas still under government hold
2. If LASG's grudge is on the issue of Omonile's and villagers making too much money. TAX them, head and toe and bind them. Government have Estate valuers.
4. On the issue of Poor construction. LASG can formulate rules that stipulate building approval and construction be carried out only by registered contractors. If the house falls they prosecute them !!
3. Government need to deal with Dangote and his cronies for their wonderful manipulation of cement price. ( How can you explain we have more cement factories and output and yet Prices are high )
CareerRe: Computer Forensics In Nigeria - Is It Recognized? by Guardian(m): 4:48pm On Oct 14, 2011
Yomz1e,
I agreed he is not asking for data recovery. I merely posted basic elementary tools that anybody starting forensic practice would need to recover data from a storage. I further fixed links to basic forensic site. And I bet he got the message. Forensic Is Rewarding but you can't get that education or appreciation here in Nigeria. Forensic is not Ethical Hacking Certification !!

For purpose of simplicity. When I used the term content management, I was in no way referring to CMS. Content management tools as contained in Cisco IOS Content Filtering, Checkpoint, Juniper SRX, is what I meant/ was referring to. The modules that do the filtering manages contents, either byte, datagrams or packet. What ever the form or measure.

Lastly a proper IT policy framework would contain and tell the User that all data sent through the company's IT systems are monitored. He/She signs an appropriate use document or seek employment elsewhere. No be by force.

The company owns the Asset and reserve the right to peep, store or forward any data. If you want to do personal stuff, Go use your own private connection and asset in your own private confines .
The AIM - We got proof that you violated and acted against company interest or committed illegal acts. You can argue the rest later in a court of Law.

yomz1e:
As an IT Security Analyst, it depends on what part of forensics you talking about as its quite broad. judging from my experience and the infrastructure we have in Nigeria, I personally do not think its beneficiary at this moment because of many issues which you and I are aware of. In Nigeria we are only in the shell stage of harnessing IT and its potential, we simply don't have the means to support it. IT forensics like i said , its one of the module i covered when i was doing my MSc in IT security and believe you me its a very difficult industry to get into, the reason being you will need to be technically astute and have evidence of being in IT security for at least 5years. Also take this scenario for example a big multinational company has suspected that a director in one of the offices has been embezzling funds or downloading pornographic material on the network thereby breaching the user policy guides and exposing the company to computer threats which covers hacking, virus, spamming and some other attacks you have heard of. The decision has been made from HQ to gather as much information to prosecute the director, the company would want to send an expert to investigate the staff and gather as much evidence as the forensic officer can gather. They will not send a novice to do this task, they would rather send an experience computer forensic expert to investigate. Now this involves various steps which is has to be done legally and as an expert you need to know what is acceptable forensic gathering so that you will have a strong case to build against this person. Now the problem is most companies don't have time to bring in a novice o train up so they would rather call companies thereby not giving opportunities to newbie(fresh graduate) unless you are a a genius. To cut the long story short, my advice would be yeah go for it, but do consider if there are is a market for it in Nigeria ? There is a market but because of the level of corruption where things are not black white will be difficult to secure a single conviction and not only that as well, your safety is important, because if someone knows you are investigating them which might lead to their downfall, i tell you your life is in danger o.

So in conclusion its a good course to do and a good knowledge to have, its definitely on the rise and it is in good demands in developed countries. One thing also is to know which area you want to focus on. do more research on goggle and you will be enlightened. Good luck
Your story is a long one and even if you are trying to make a point, this example doesn't fit. This is no forensic job. It's simple content management. All traffic goes through a Firewall, content management tool or Proxy. Trust me a lot of data can be piped off the user without infringe on rights. A newbie with a few days training can figure this out.

ATLgal:
At some point it would be cheaper to produce items locally than ship from Asia.labor is way cheaper in West Africa, on
Most stuff in western countries IS made in China, so stop the hating. the thing is they produce two tiers. one expensive and the other cheaper, so technically even your iphone and blackberry and other labels you consider top quality are made in Asia, quit knocking Asia . even the most reliable cars are made in Asia . Most Americans won't drive a US made car.

Walmart would create jobs in Nigeria.
ATLgal,
I don't have the time or reason to hate. We all know very well that majority of quality goods are made in China. Mark you, they don't just produce 2 grades, there are more ( North America, Europe, Asian Market, Middle -East and Africa. I work with the Chinese and I should be educating you.
My grouse is, Nigeria sadly is market place for the lowest of the shitty produce from Chinese mushroom export companies. And as I said earlier the affluent and movers of our society including well traveled Nigerians rush to patornize the shitty products even in High brow Supermarkets and shops.

Comprende !!

Without much thought. I give it to C and all variant. It gave us the power of objects and it the language with which the best platforms are built. Virtually everything runs on top of a C- Code.
SportsRe: Siasia's Records-the Facts by Guardian(m): 6:39pm On Oct 13, 2011
I am neither a SIASIA FAN nor am I a supporter of He must stay.  But I like to ask just one question you all see glaring but no ONE has talked about or taken action on.

1. Does the Coach count as a player in the field ?
2. Who are those responsible for creating chances, scoring goals and converting technical advise into execution on the field ?
3. Who is the attacker or defender or Goal keeper ?
4. Why is it that Nigerian players in virtually all outings play so lazily, loose penalty woefully, give away passes to the opponent, watch an opponent running towards a dangerous scoring position without taking drastic moves ?

WELL YOUR GUESS is as GOOD as MINE .

The so called PLAYERS  !!! who more often than many,  have been responsible for virtually 80% of our match losses both at home and abroad.

I have seen your Nigerian professionals make nonsense out of technical tactics and rubbished the records of even the Foreign coaches, Nigerians so clamor for.

LASTLY

How many of these players have NIGERIANS crucified. From the hey misses of Peter Rufai, Okocha, Kanu, Babayaro,Taiye Taiwo,,

WITHOUT MUCH TALK

The Foreign based players whom we all regard so much as professionals and "deliverer" are the biggest problem. Not even the NFF drumming or Coach.
Go down memory-lane, you would all discover that the most painful Nigerian Losses, was not caused by the Coach. It was some fat head player(s) who just played away chances or entertained himself and still got paid for it.

WHY DON'T WE BEAT UP PLAYERS After every LOSS. To make them realize :

1. A penalty missed has caused the death of somebody either emotionally or physically
2. A ball pass given away to the opponents is unforgivable especially when done in our half of the field
3. Dribbling a player instead of passing the ball to a waiting teammate is Selfish and reduces the chance of converting a goal chance
4. Shooting the ball wild into the stadium fans when face-to-face with the goal keeper is treason.
5. Slowing down the ball during a counter attack instead of moving fast paced to beat your opponents weak defense could make someone kick into the TV set.

ASK YOURSELVES IS THAT HOW THEY PLAY AND THROW AWAY CHANCES OR FORM THE FOOL WHEN THEY PLAY IN EUROPE !!!

It's time we weigh the scale and measure their crimes. Why do SUPER EAGLE Players cause their FANS so much heart ache and give people  high BP !!
CareerRe: Computer Forensics In Nigeria - Is It Recognized? by Guardian(m): 5:32pm On Oct 13, 2011
Why all the yapping of what is beyond the thought of average Nigerian !!.

How and what makes any one think that A forensic institution exists in Nigeria !! In a country where research and technological development is far behind the age of development worldwide.

Look around you, think before you ask certain questions.

In the best university computer science is still being taught with knowledge that's at best 10 years old. Who of the faculty has the brain to think forensic. In a country where crime investigators barely know what Forensic is about.

Whenever I learn of Big name franchise coming to Nigeria. I Laff my head off and weep for my people. Why ?

Because some smart head Indian is the one masquerading with the Franchise and at the end, we find the shops filled with low quality, cheap articles from India and china.

Makes me wonder, because the high and mighty, Rich and famous with all their exposure outside the country are the people who first rush in to patronize these setup. SAD !!!

This is just another ploy to loot.

What are you all so optimistic about ? 80% of interconnecting roads in South -South are bad and definitely would take more than 5 years to fix.

And you think building a rail network fails from he sky ?

Just the Rivers Delta state Road is taking 10 years to make !!!.

Shout out to all the ladies in the house. How many of you can show true love and sacrifice for your boy friend.  A tale of true love and sacrifice. See below.

A Mexican woman has been arrested for trying to sneak her husband out of prison in a suitcase following a conjugal visit.

https://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/c4AbE.Ic_uOZQZDgP7aSsw--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7Zmk9aW5zZXQ7aD0yNDA7cT04NTt3PTQwMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en_uk/News/skynews/16024464_400x240.jpg

Maria del Mar Arjona, 19, was stopped as she left the prison in Chetumal, the capital of the Caribbean state Quintana Roo.

Staff became suspicious as the young woman seemed nervous and was struggling with a black, wheeled suitcase which looked particularly bulky.

Police spokesman Gerardo Campos said prison guards checked the bag and found inmate Juan Ramirez Tijerina curled up inside.

Convicted in 2007, Ramirez is serving a 20-year sentence for illegal weapons possession. He is thought to be a member of the Sinaloa drugs cartel.

Arjona has been arrested and charges are pending.
