I am available and can handle your requirement. How many users ? What's the LAN points, What's the infrastructure you want in place to support the school ?

A faster root to deploying the network will be to go WIFI and mix blend with Cables.

A faster root to deploying the web solution will be to deploy a local server.

This question is like medicine after death.

First, you 're hardly in a position to playback and apply any advise u get when faced with a potential accident at a fast pace. Trust me it's not Fighter Simulator or Xbox
Secondly, It's most important that you maintain frequent slows in the middle of your highss !! once on a free way especially on Nigerian roads.
Third and probably my advise. Try to brake slowly tapping your brakes and just drive through it. Unless it's a ditch.
If a ditch then you definitely weren't alert enough !!! you probably where looking at ur bonnet instead of looking 20-40 meters ahead. Nonetheless take evasive action, slow and try to swerve as best as you can to avoid the hole, Taking into consideration estimated speed and traffic of vehicles behind, besides and coming opposite you.

What has suit got to do with your eloquence or your brains ?
Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Bin Talal, ...

9aija keep it real. The Americans fashioned out there way of doing things from the Brits and they are on top.

The Arabs don't need to wear a suit but control vast business empires.

Bottom Line. Dress Responsibly, Talk Responsible and Intelligent.

You don't have to wear a 320S Wool suit to proove that you have got brains.

A simple Denim and shirt with nice jacket, Fitter Blazer still get's you smart, fashionable and formal.

Politics / Briton And Italian Die In Hostage Rescue Bid by Guardian(m): 9:50pm On Mar 09, 2012
Now the Menace called Boko- Haram have finally dragged all into the MUD and triggered blaming and regrets between Nigeria, Britain and Italy.

http://news.sky.com/home/world-news/article/16184988

Two hostages - a Briton and an Italian - have been killed by terrorists in northern Nigeria in an attempted rescue operation. The effort to free Chris McManus, from northwest England, and his colleague Franco Lamolinara was launched by British special forces and the Nigerian army.

Sky sources said there were no fatalities on the British and Nigerian forces' side but there were several fatalities among the hostage-takers. Prime Minister David Cameron said the pair appeared to have died at the hands of their captors, either before or during the course of the rescue bid. Sky sources said it is believed there was a fight and during the assault the UK and Nigerian forces could not get to Mr McManus and Mr Lamolinara in time. "It strongly appears that the hostage-takers shot the hostages," the sources said.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan said the pair's "killers" have been arrested and identified as members of the radical Islamist group Boko Haram. The Hostage-Takers Were Likely To Be Battle-Hardened The rescue bid was launched after the UK received credible information about the hostages' whereabouts and that their lives were under increasing threat.

Speaking in Downing Street, Mr Cameron said Mr McManus and Mr Lamolinara were captured in Birnin-Kebbi, in the north, in May last year.

"Since then, we have been working closely with the Nigerian authorities to try to find Chris and Franco, and to secure their release," he said. "The terrorists holding the two hostages made very clear threats to take their lives, including in a video that was posted on the internet.

"After months of not knowing where they were being held, we received credible information about their location. A window of opportunity arose to secure their release. "We also had reason to believe that their lives were under imminent and growing danger. "Preparations were made to mount an operation to attempt to rescue Chris and Franco.

"Together with the Nigerian government, today I authorised it to go ahead, with UK support.

Italian President Slams UK Over Rescue Bid

Italy's president has criticised Britain's "inexplicable behaviour" after the UK launched a failed operation to free two hostages in Nigeria without telling Rome beforehand.

Giorgio Napolitano is demanding a political and diplomatic explanation following the Special Forces rescue mission in which British engineer Christopher McManus and his Italian colleague Franco Lamolinara were killed .

Britain's Ambassador in Rome, Christopher Prentice, visited the office of Italy's Prime Minister Mario Monti on Friday.

In a statement, the British Embassy said: "Our collaboration with the foreign ministry and the office of Prime Minister Monti is continuing, with further meetings and talks scheduled at the request of Ambassador Prentice."

Sky sources earlier said Mr Prentice had not been "summoned", but went of his own free will to the Italians. But late on Friday reports said Rome was demanding Britain communicates further details on the failed rescue bid in the coming hours.

Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata said after talks with Foreign Secretary William Hague: "I asked for detailed information because we have a right to maximum clarity on this episode."

David Cameron had given the order for the operation in the city of Sokoto in northern Nigeria to go ahead without informing the Italians first. The Prime Minister said: "We had reason to believe that their (the hostages) lives were under imminent and growing danger."

There is now a diplomatic row between the countries, with Italian officials furious at apparently being kept in the dark by Downing Street.

Revise the curriculum to model what the Indians have in their Tech schools
Sack all lecturers unable to measure up to 21st century know-how of ICT
Conduct fresh recruitment with an eye for younger,  technology savvy lecturers with keen interest in research and innovation
Keep the course at 4 yrs. Dedicate 1 year to field exposure,  internship, cross university/foreign programmes e.g in MIT
Introduce industry standard certification courses in Last year e.g  ITIL, Project management, Network +,  CWNE, SAP,
Partner with Technology Drivers to invest and consumers
Keep English and enforce Maths for designs and logic application.

In 5 years, you'll see the result.

Dear All,
The UK is designed for UK.

If and when you come to the UK, think like the Indians when spending/investing. Explore like a Nigerian would, network with as many Non-Nigerians as you can, East Block and calm Gulf immigrants are OK.  Take advantage at all times of any and all deals and cost savers available. Do not Pose, Do not think buying from a budget store or crappy maker makes you less wiser.

Last but not least be as Entrepreneurial as you can. Nigerians are naturally gifted with this.

However before you ever think of any of the above. Sit down, plans, answer and ponder on the following:
[li]Why am I going to the UK ?[/li]
[li]What would I gain investing in the UK  ?[/li]
[li]How would you recover your investment coming to the UK ?[/li]
[li]What oppurtunities are there in the UK that the UK government and citizen can not fill or provide ?[/li]
[li]How and what is the return in exploring these oppurtunities ?[/li]
[li]What skill is in demand ? that can give you the edge and make you marketable ?[/li]
[li]What would you gain investing in the UK  ?[/li]
[li]What is the relative recovery time on all investment made coming to the UK ?[/li]
Answer the above before you ever think of coming to the UK

Pls people stop these stupid talk of what ethnic to blame. I expect you to debate more intelligently. All tribes have their negative specialities and they are all CRIMINAL.

The following questions should be raised:

How come he wasn't picked by the Customs and checks in Amsterdam ? Is there a bigger racket going on ? Does he source his merchandise from Nigeria ? If YES, does he make the trip from Nigeria ? Should this not involve strict measures to put the NDLEA into the mix on how the magician moved comfortably with so much drugs in suitcases ?
Family / Re: British Family Considering Move To Nigeria. Advice Welcomed :) by Guardian(m): 4:10pm On Mar 05, 2012
Too much off the point talk.

Answers:

Of the options you have, ABUJA happens to be the best, fair enough, good infrastructure, hygiene is fair enough. But accommodation and upkeep a bit pricey

Schooling isn't much of an issue There are International Schools in Nigeria But you could do well to post some kids offshore to Ghana. Very Safe. Spices up your activities and who knows explore oppurtunities across West Africa.

Entertainment is a big issue for your kids. The kind of entertainment they would desire really doesn't exist out there,  that could dampen their expectation in terms of social life. You can't call going to the moves daily such a pleasure.  smiley neither is going to City Malls such a delight smiley

With respect to Business,  ABUJA is best,  lot's of oppurtunities,  the market out there isn't as crowded as in the East and certainly not as competitive as in Lagos. What's more you have the country's richest and reasonably chic clientele base in ABUJA.

However you must be ready to face the following displeasures. Your desired UK food items are scarce (Substitute available), Electricity is not as cheap and available as in the UK. Transportation is heavily dependent on your owning a car, preferably a 4WD all the time. Luckily fuel  and Labour is fairly affordable and you get to  be chauffeur driven smiley

LAGOS which happens to be quite cosmopolitan would have been a nice choice,  but it's rather quite a hectic place. Crazy traffic, too much competition for your business.
One thing for sure, you have a very large and diverse community of foreigners in Lagos than any other part of the country. This of course if you are so keen on mingling with Europeans more often
Education / Re: My Son Cannot Count Numbers by Guardian(m): 3:29pm On Mar 05, 2012
Ok I share posters concern. My kid was doing 1-50 read and write at 3.5yrs Speaks most impressively. But he really didn't understand the numbers 1-50 he just knows how to recite and write, He can't fill in the missen number ? . We have studied him and now with some Aids he does more at 4yrs. He's light years ahead of what his brother was at his age. We got lot's of commendation from teachers too on his reports

My point. Being able to write it and read it is not necessarily a measure of the child's capability or intelligence.

Secondly, Different kids learn via different methods Saddly in Nigeria the hard rule and methods is what all schools use. This means as a Parent you fill the gap left by the school. Try understanding the child's learning pattern and what methods, e.g interactive, game , simulations,, Also Diet is a good propeller. Omega H3 is good for brain development smiley

Politics / 'spam Capital' India Arrests Six Nigerians On Fisrt Crack Down by Guardian(m): 1:50pm On Jan 06, 2012
9naija don represent again. Far away in Indian. The land of the Curry. They have been found. Report and link below.

Police in India say they have arrested six foreign nationals suspected of defrauding hundreds of people using text message and email scams.

Scam victims were duped after being told they had won a lottery.

Authorities seized 14 laptops, seven memory sticks and 23 mobile phones, as well as fake documents and cash.

The arrests come after security firm Kaspersky reported that India now sent more spam than any other country in the world.

Police said the six men, all Nigerian, would be remanded in custody until 12 January.

The arrests signal attempts to crack down on a growing cybercrime problem in the region.

The NLC are just a bunch of mouthy wimps with no grey matter and very much lacking in the ability to understand let alone think and act positively.

As rightly mentioned by

NLC should go and sit down because they are not beign constructive in there criticism of mr president, if they are gd managers as they always claim, where are d buses bought for them by d FG, some yrs ago.

Not to mention this. Why haven't they mounted their GUNS to challenge the LegislativeS on how and why they collect the super bumper Allowance and salaries that can not be justified ?

Why have they not taken action to Deal with the menace of corruption in the Oil & Gas Sector, Power Sector, Our Ports ?( All these key contributing factors to High cost of the living ) ?

Why haven't they called for the heads of corruption in Civil Service ?

And on all these nonsense they can't even manage to get a minimum wage implemented.
