PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Picks Governor Jonathan Goodluck As Presidential Running Mate ! by Guardian(m): 7:49pm On Dec 18, 2006
NAija people, nothing comes out of nothing.

The North are back OBJ supported the plan, If South-South candidate had been nominated, PDP will loose the Northern Vote (VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT VOTESSSSSSSS ) Now Jonathan has been picked. So do the arithmetic.

70% of Northern Vote + All the Ijaw vote (Largest ethnic in the South, Very very large population ) courtsey of Jonathan + 70 % of South-South votes (they have no choice aaaaaahhh ) + A bit of western Vote ( Courtsey of OBJ assuming leadership of PDP ) + Normal wayo, jibity, mago-mago-wuru-wuru.

Yardua will come out and take the position his Late elder brother ought to have clinched years back.

Very simple, the script is now in motion. In 2007 It will be in the Cinemas !!! It has 90% chance of being a BOX office hit.

Once again I weep for naija. Someone will say play your part, VOTE !! No way !!! not when the architect is in Power . STATE POWER is POWER !!! .
It will be used thanx to OBJ and his cronies and he intends to manage his new empires through it. Who get sense buy shares in all the OBJ related biznesses. I weep for Naija.

UNTIL WHAT HAPPENED IN ARGENTINA YEARS BACK HAPPENS IN NAIJA,
UNTIL WHEN nigerians RISE again like when they got tired and REMOVED ibb himself,
UNTIL All Nigerians HAVE THE INTREST OF ONE ANOTHER AT HEART, irrespective of ethnic, religion, brother or sister and selfishness,

It will be same and may remain same. Hardlife for LIFE.

CrimeRe: Police Raid Oluwole, the Document Forgery Capital by Guardian(m): 1:03pm On Sep 05, 2005
Guys, guys, please give me a break here. All these have been in existence for years and security authoririties have known about the capabilities of these notorious characters for ages. It baffles me when I hear/see comments that air suprise about all these. What I know that you all underestimate is that "the State" through it's security agencies have more than enough information on a lot of things you think they don't know. What's more they are involved in the circle of crime.

Secondly, Nigeria is not the most corrupt nation . No, No, No . Nigeria is the country where unrefined/crude forms of crime and corruption exists- this is a better definition.

We are backwards in every aspect of it. In the Western world crude forgery is a thing of the past they did this years ago . we are just getting to better the skill, in Nigeria. When it comes to kick back, they did this years ago and better. Presently we are still behind because in Nigeria we openly collect kick-backs and money transfers to known accounts without conceiling it.
When it comes to corporate crimes we are still behind. In Nigeria top-shots just throw secrecy in the wind when doing it. In the western world it's very very very technical, its so well done that it's transparent and often protected by the law.

What I expect Nigerian's to be suprised at is the manner in which all this has existed all these years and "the state " knew about it. Just to clear the air The Nigerian Immigration and Police have seized several fake passports and recovered valid visa's on foreign passports at ports of entry/exit in times past- how come nobody ever investigated further - Tell me .

How come to this day, 85% of Nigerian's in Western countries all hide from the immigration agencies out there ? If they had valid papers would the hide ?

How come nobody ever thinks how very important documents find their way into the hands of funny characters that know less about themselves let alone the document they have in hand ?

Have you ever wondered how Nigerian's just site here in Nigeria but are able to issue cheques to their 419 accomplice oversees ?

We have EFCC ? How many foreign cases of 419 irrespective of the amount involved have they decided to investigate to a dead end, tracing Network, manner of dissemination, transfer routes , e.t.c .

Once I believed Security operatives with the knowledge, would swarm on Cyber cafes and hit 419 syndicate, No it didn't happen I was wrong, instead we have heard of tales of how Security operatives occassionly run into Cafe's just to terrorize the innocent ones after collecting bribe from the real crooks to let them go.

Cyber cafe owners have paid fees that have exemted them from these raids. Tell me do you really think these fraud crimes would ever have been attacked, had the president not intervened because he was a victim ?

Nigeria, I hail thee not!
ComputersRe: Anybody Heard Of WIMAX? by Guardian(m): 6:18pm On Aug 29, 2005
Deploying WIMAX isn't as expensive as you think. At the moment we have 2 fully operational in locations here in Nigeria at locations already- Delta State and in Port Harcourt.

I am presently working on a pilot project for an estate here in Lagos as well. Average cost for Wimax for a coverage cost for mos tproject types like an Estate setup - E.G Lekki Phase 1 is about $70,000

If you 're commited and intend to deploy wifi . A coverage area say VGC Estate can be in the range of $25,000
Nairaland GeneralRe: To Develop Information Technology in Nigeria by Guardian(m): 5:40pm On Aug 29, 2005
Joftech,
yeah, that is if and when Electricity becomes what it is in Europe, Asia and north America. As per the technology interface is no issue we even have them here in Lagos. Linksys have these out already.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria, INEC: Electronic Voting for Election 2007? by Guardian(m): 11:45am On Aug 29, 2005
Dear All,
you all know the Nigeria you have ? Common National ID card they have not been able to achive. If the government had succeded with this without fraud and all the logistics problems, I would have given a word of encouragement. But in this God forsaken country where greed flows like red blood capsules in the viens of Nigeriaaaa............ SORRY NO

Mark my word It could end up worse , Someone will either steal the computer servers, corrupt the data, bribe the dataentry clerks to alter records, etc

We and India no dey the same category abeg.. technology wise, patrotic wise, corruption wise. We remain at the bottom of the table.
HealthRe: Smoking in Public: Should It Be Banned? by Guardian(m): 11:32am On Aug 29, 2005
Greatpeter you ask said this
"I am of the opinion that smoking in public places should be banned."

Guardian says >
Please remember this -
1 . You just can't just run down other peoples right.
2. A better approach would be
- ban tobacco adverts,
- make manufacturers pay more ( tax, levies )
- Create laws that makes it mandatory for a tobacco seller to have a licence before he or she can sell tobbaco

3. Casual smokers are those are non smokers but do inhale the smoke from the potential or habitual smokers.
Guardian says > Yes, and that is where you have the right to ask the smoker to repect your right, by smoking else where or putting it off because it's a health hazard.

ha joftech,
I just couldn't ignore you. Pls pls pls Broadband over Power works only in developed countries not in a country where Power is available on 3months in a year to the entire population of over 100million. Secondly You need to know these technology well enough.
Nairaland GeneralRe: To Develop Information Technology in Nigeria by Guardian(m): 10:45am On Aug 29, 2005
Dear All if we have the following in place we can go places.

1. Reliable Power Supply
2. Equiped and developed Computer Science in our Universities/Secondary Skools up to international standard ( e.g India ,
China, Denmark )
3. Let's get wiser and start running fibre optics instead of small scale fixed wireless

we can start with these.
BusinessRe: Alhaji Aliko Dangote: What do you know about him? by Guardian(m): 11:47am On Aug 19, 2005
Imnakoya , Sorry I don't share your views on this MONOPOLY bullshit. It  makes me sick.
Dear All, whatever the talk Aliko sure didn't place an embargo on other capable Nigerians from creating competiion has he ? How many of all the others capable Nigerian's have dared into venturing the way this man has done ? The most they do is set up businesses that employs barely a handfull of people, buy up properties managed by their relations or close associates.

Abeg you,  we don't need this.  We  need Nigerians who will invest the money they have in some business(es) that profits the growth of this country. - create Jobs , bring in new technology, promote trade, manufacturing and export of finished products.

Secondly the  small-medium enterprise, that's a different ball game. See all the Nigerian Banks ? them gree give loan to facilitate such take offs ? No.  They only borrow to their friends and associates who are venturing into some self centered business.

What stops us having venture capital in Nigeria ?

If you follow well . You will understand.

Last but not least could you just name a few other Nigerian's who have or are investing in Nigeria to the benefit of our economy
PLEASE NOTE  : This excluding self centered and family business.

Once again admire and encourage the likes of Aliko. I admire a man who manages success. Managing success is the blackman's biggest problem he starts, attains the height and happily falls below the "grass" .

Omo Alhaji Kudos, your views  are worth more than the oversee eyes can see.
BusinessRe: Alhaji Aliko Dangote: What do you know about him? by Guardian(m): 8:12pm On Aug 18, 2005
Dear All,
It doesn't matter the odds of this character. What matters are :

1. Aliko is the only Private investor who has succeded in creating jobs for Nigerians (Obasanjo can not match this )

2. Small -medium enterprises depend directly or indirectly on the empire he has setup ( Nigerian Ports - Drivers
Suppliers, service delivery businesses - even the woman selling food by his many businesses )

3. He is the only one, of all the rich Nigerians, who has been kind enough to establish and manage
manufacturing businesses in this country. Believe it or not factories are what drives Economies.
-China - Malaysia - India - France - Germany- Belgium - Brazil - US . look at all these ranks the
manufacturing and assembly lines - creating Jobs, business oppurtunities and Tax returns to Government .
These economies would never have gotten to where they all stand today. If they depended on
buying and selling, building houses for rent or a 5 man company that returns nothing to the economy, but
earns millions undisclosed.

Bottom line
If we had as much as a 100 Aliko's Plus his achivements, Nigeria would be warming up to move forward.

haba.

Give this man a BOW anywhere anytime anyday.
