I did show enough intention that I was coming back. I have a good job,married,1 child, properties, good statement of account. I was not refused because i did not show any intention to leave member state,I was refused because i did not justify purpose of visit.

I was refused a German visit visa on the grounds that the purpose of visit/stay is not justifiable. I submitted all the required documents as indicated on the checklist,my host(brother-in-law) sent me a Guarantor's invitation Letter and the interview was OK. What do i need to do to justify purpose of visit? I intend to reapply in a couple of months time,what do i need to better my chances as i honestly wants to visit and come back

The decision is reached within 10 days so collecting your documents and handing you a white slip is routine, nothing out of the ordinary.

Thanks for the response. I thought if you are denied, they will return your passport back to you immediately after interview and don't have to wait till 10 days to inform you of the negative decision like they do in U. S embassy.

I did, It seems that they are only interested in German student Visa on that thread. Maybe i could get the attention of Vicjustice or other experience schengen travellers here.

I went for my interview yesterday(German/Schengen Visit Visa), after the questions and answers, the lady handed me a white slip(Receipt for Visa fee), collected all my original documents including my Passport and asked me to come back 10 days time. Does is mean that anybody they gave the white slip and collected his Passport will be granted a Visa Or is it the normal routine for both refused and issued visa? I guess this thread is for Germany student visa, maybe justwise could open another thread for tourist/short term visa. Nobody answered my que since yesterday.

I was selected among the winners of DV 2012(May 1st 2011) the result was later annuled because the draw was not conducted in fairness or total randomness. Although I have already sent my form to KCC before the result was cancelled,which means I have already showed an immigration intent.

I intend to apply for non-immigrant visa soon, do you think the failed lottery result will affect my chances of securing any non-immigrant visa in the future, do you guys have our record on your system from KCC.?

Since I didn't win after the redraw it will be unfair to deny us a chance of visiting USA.

I await your clarification on this. Thanks
