@guente02, when i did my interview, i asked the interviewer whether the bootcamp is hard or not... he said it is not hard and it's not simple...it depends on the kind of person you are...so you guys should stop referring to the bootcamp as one hell fire...what's hard to you, might be easy to another person.

What bothers me is after all these noise making a Learning Facilitator Assistant at the bootcamp will just be seeing code smells and faulty logic in your code. Worse case scenario is when you can’t explain your code (that was how one guy was using async/await but can't explain the concept of asynchronous Javascript).

S/Overflow can easily save the day - why even reinvent the wheel - but every (i can't even emphasise this) character, code block, programming logic in your code must be understood and have a reason why they are the way they are.

Getting soiled in MDN docs is even better than doing much copy copy that cant help you with learning how to develop a problem solving skill..kapish?

See ehh you'd be required to learn concepts and strictly adhere to different standards while showing the EPIC values (no circumventing).

Its an exercise aims to help you learn and grow and what you gain out of it is a spot in the fellowship of extraordinary web artisans bridging the technology gap across the African landscape - a mouthful?.

All the "i can work under pressure" traits I thought I posses was clearly questionable as mr "hard-guy" was broken, burnt and borderline distraught.

You can easily talk yourself into the bootcamp during the interview but brotherly (or sisterly), the bootcamp is going require everything from your knowledge arsenal and also what you don't have.

At the end of the day as we live we must be humble and be open to learning if we want to grow.

Don't expect anyone to teach you how to code but they'd provide resources that would help you own your learning. Prepare to crash chrome with 100 tabs.

So save the noise making and reserve the energy for bootcamp because you'd need it like crazy.

Success is too proud to just fall on our thighs people, we can't cut corners, must be in our best behaviour and put in deliberate hours in.

Stay EPIC for andela sake or otherwise.

Bootcamp will make you question yourself if this is what you want to do as a career.
We should direct our energy towards having improved our problem-solving skills and character as we'd need them at the Bootcamp.

In whatever you do. Be 10x because even at that you'll struggle at the bootcamp.

It's allowed na. We're to use anything that is not abstracted.

I look at the piece of feedback i got from my LFA and I'm like this is going to be intense.

Part of what I've learnt so far is that whatever challenge they throw at me, I must do my best and come through big time - growth mindset on fleek. No JS framework? No problem. No bootstrap, foundation, bulma, skeleton? No Problem.
I sha have fetch api and querySelector them. I will be good.

If you haven't been to the bootcamp brother....Get your mind prepared. The challenges aren't waves. It's a Tsunami.

After sharing my thought process for the technical challenge that comes with the interview, I was asked a few couple questions like

- Let's meet you
- Tell us about ANDELA.- it's on their about page
- What does FEEDBACK mean to you? Have you gotten one before? How did you go about it? - Better have something to say and make sure it makes sense. Shared an experience in school with my supervisor.
- How would you feel if you don't get to the next phase? The answer is a no-brainer
- What have you learnt RECENTLY from your stack and have you implemented it? (better have something to say) mine was the FETCH API.
- Any questions for us? I asked them what a typical day of an andelan is like and how soon are we going to hear back from them.

Code defence was about 7mins.
The main interview was like 15 mins.

I'm just going through the code base on github of some people who got admitted into the program and i must say its quite large even for the smallest of apps. Pheeewwww.

I don't think anyone would ask you to build a full stack app in two weeks.

I think its the latter.

Got an email to build out a fullstack app already within two weeks. I use to think this would happen during the bootcamp.
What then are we to expect when the Bootcamp starts proper?

alright yeah, i just feel giving other coys a shot won't be bad, to be sincere with ourselves, it's not everyone that'll make it into andela, ain't pessimistic here, just being sincere

One the interviewers asked me the what-if-you-don't-get-selected question I told him that its what makes the struggle beautiful and that I'd rather try other places whilst working on being better at my technical and soft skills than sulking while adding that no one wouldn't love to work at Andela, he had one small smirk on his face a feedback i interpreted as nailing the question.

At the end of the day we all want to be world class software developers - that's my WHY for all this late nights of coding gymnastics - and there are ways of getting there apart from Andela but then Andela's beginner-friendly approach is awesome but that still doesn't change our respective WHYs.

Looking forward to the bootcamp experience.

I started saving from the same time as you and I've bought a laptop for 70k plus almost 100k extra savings.

The difference is that you earn more than me.

I'm serving in Baissa, Kurmi LGA, Taraba State and trust me you can save 10k but you better have extra source of income like home lessons or extra ppa. I've been saving since July '17 amd piggy bank has been helping me in doing so.

Damn that escalated quite fast.

Lemme just hang on to my RN3 and see what Xiaomi want to do with Note 5.

have you checked the device manager for non installed driver. Moreover, have you connectedthe modem directly with your system before since you bought it and see it drive automatically?
