Properties › Why Are Many Surulere Landlords And Agents Generally So Greedy by Guest2008(op): 10:12pm On Mar 23 |
I moved to Surulere few years ago.. I was initially squatting with someone before I got a place. The first place I got was at odejayi crescent, an agent took me to the Landlord knowing fully well the man is not reliable. The house was under renovation and he claimed everything will me set in 2weeks max.. 2 weeks became 5months and the man kept on promising, I started asking for refund 2 months after but there's never a positive response I got frustrated and had to involve the service of a lawyer I knew to get 90% of my money.. The second place was at Cole, a supposed self con in a very old building which I desperately moved into thinking I would be able to manage.. I did the little I could to make the apartment livable for me even though it was generally a terrible place. A self con where I will have to leave my room to go to the kitchen and the the toilet and people outside can see me moving around.. I was managing until it started to rain, rain soaked the walls of my apartment making the painting pull off the wall, water drip into my apartment uncontrollably , my supposed kitchen which was basically the corridor to the toilet would be filled with water.. I later noticed the soakaway pipe was just directly by my window and many other complaints like the person up bathing and the water drips in front of my room and soak up the ceiling. I kept complaining to the caretaker and landlord, nothing was done about it and to worsen the whole thing, I saw a scorpion creep into my room and it was that day I knew I wouldn't even complete 1yr in that apartment. I moved out and went back to my family house at Abaranje and continued the stress to work.. One year ago, I got an apartment that I really like and I like it even more because it's a new building and I'm the first to occupy it.. I paid my rent, service charge, agency and commission as I should.. I'm about to renew now and I'm just realising my apartment is on lease and the agent in charge said I am her tenant and I should come and formally buy her form and pay her another agreement fee or I should move out. Sometimes, I wonder if these agents and Landlords have conscience at all Let's not even talk about the old buildings doubling their rent and competing with new buildings and then the greedy agents and Landlords dishing out quit notice just to get another agency/commission fee |

Hello beautiful people of nairaland.. I love sandwich so much that I have it for breakfast almost everyday and canned sardines is something I like to add because it enhances the taste for me, I usually use Titus sardines. The last time I bought, it was sold for 1600 each and that was around a week ago.. Today, I went back to buy, it's now sold for 1800 each and there were other sardines for 900 each like PRINCE SARDINES and SARAH SARDINES.. I decided to pick one SARAH sardine, hoping to enjoy it in my sandwich tomorrow..
Please, kindly recommend good sardines in Lagos apart from TITUS |

The comparing is so true especially when the ex was really a great fellow and the present one is not even giving you joy |

Jewessgratitud3: I just remembered this Ghana bread from my childhood that was sold those days in ikoyi. It was a delight back then. we would always trouble my Dad to take us outside the gate every weekend to buy it for us because it looked different from the regular four corner bread 🍞 we were used to. It was kinda crusty and dusty but we enjoyed it anyways
Some Ghanaian guys were hawking it in a basin and would spread butter on it when you buy.
Who else had this bread back then. I was born in the 90s and I know this bread. I didn't really like it though |

Fryx: Ignore her. She will get over it.
I got two girls in my life too. I did Val for none of them.
The first one, I always send her money to buy something on Val day, but when I call her yesterday morning, she wasn’t romantic enough, so I told her I won’t be sending her anything for Val cause she isn’t romantic (she is naturally not a romantic girl).
The second one is new, and I purposely refuse to talk about valentine.
None of them make and issue of it. The second one even posted my picture this morning on her status.
So, ignore her. Love is not all about money, it’s about value. Austin? |

They will be active in church and mosque BUT very active in sexual sin.
They will despise sexual purity but want to marry a decent and clean person It's really somehow, one can't even advise them because it seems like a norm now |

Promiscuity on the part of the woman he was married to was the main reason for their separation.. |
