Health / Re: Am I Infected With HIV?? by Guest911: 6:54pm On Jul 16
ronet2:
Hello everyone,

I need some advice from medical persons on a possible exposure to HIV.

What is the probability of contracting HIV infection after protected sex with condom and washing of the genitals with soap and water.
So the story..
I had a one off sex with a lady on May 4th 2024 with condom. No oral,no kissing. After ejaculation,I removed the condom carefully, their was no condom tear/bust and went to the bathroom to wash off with soap and water ( i did not wipe off with tissue before washing off). So on 28th morning,I woke up with vomiting, diarrhea and localized abdominal pain on my lower left. Had a very mild fever the next day and I was treated for malaria and I recovered, though abdominal pain persisted for a while. I tested for HIV at 30 days post exposure and it came back negative. On 18th June 2024,the abdominal pain returned with diarrhea, lower back burning sensation and low grade fever the next day. I carried out culture test And Ulcer test, some bacteria was found and ulcer was positive. I was treated for ulcer and the abdominal pain stopped.

So my fear:
1.Can ulcer alone cause the symptoms described above?
2. Are their other possible STI/UTI test I need to carryout?
3. Is it possible that while washing off,the reminant of vaginal fluid on the pubic area can wash down to the tip of the penis and hence cause infection ( note I did not wipe off with tissue before washing off, meaning i might still have sperm at the tip)?
3. Can HIV transmit this way?
4. What are my chances that my 4 weeks negative test will not change after 3 months?

From wide search,I learnt that HIV 2 which is predominant in west Africa is a bit harder to transmit.

I'm still experiencing intermittent abdominal pain, burning sensation.

Thanks. 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The fact that you recovered from malaria and medication work normally for you means your immune system is still in great condition. You don’t have any immune virus .

Can some in this same situation, take G instead of G2?
You can only take full G if the experience added on your driving record is up to two years. Meaning if your Nigerian driving license was issued at least 2years ago. You can confirm with the person adding your record on which tests you're eligible to book. Very important.

Drive test website can allow you book G test, but if you're not eligible for it, you will not be allowed to complete the road test and your $90 maybe forfeited.

I submitted my extract when I took and passed the G1 test on the 18th March. They said they need to verify the extract and that they will call me to let me know if they will add my driving history. Yet no call! I was told I can take the G2 whenever I want tho.

Another thing: my drivers license expired yesterday.
Go ahead and take your G2. Make sure to practice tho.

Stray bullet. Brampton live matters😀

I have been living in Brampton for close to 2 years now. I have experienced any of these.

My current landlord is Indian. He choose my application for the house above other Indians that came for the same house.

That aside, like you said most jobs are in Mississauga, would the person not be better of living in Brampton or Georgetown than going to Hamilton?
I get where you're coming from. I don't have anything against Brampton as well. but when it comes to majority, you know how it is. The number of times I've gotten questions like are you vegetarian or are you Gujurati, Indians only etc just because I want to rent a place is disappointing.
Driving there too is not safe you sef know for that one grin terrible drivers full brampton.

For instance the drive test center i went to had an Indian attendant, she refused to add my driving experience because my driving licence no carry middle name as on my passport.

Went there the next to try again or complain. I didn’t even need to explain to the white lady she just added my experience no questions asked.

Hello chief, which do you think is the better option between Missisauga, Hamilton, and Brampton?
Just remove Brampton from the option . Either Hamilton or Mississauga is good.

I think mississauga has more job opportunities tho.

The reason I said to remove Brampton is because the majority of indian from there favor their own kind.

Gujarati , Punjabi, South Indians. Basically in everything from getting a house, getting a job, even government services etc

How can I go about this, pls?
i.e the submission of the extract.
Go to any drive test center near you. Make sure to carry original Nigerian driving license and the extract.
Register for the G1 test and submit the extract.

What I mean is places like Scarborough, Hamilton, are a bit more affordable than downtown.
North york is so ghetto sha. Hamilton is still better off. You can still get a studio apt for 800-900 and a flat for 1200-1500

Hello Everyone,
My husband has been in Vancouver for 14 months and unable to find a skilled job. He is a chartered accountant (CPA/CGA). He just completed his MBA last year December. Any help will be very useful. He is also a Project Manager and business analyst- certified

Also, I want to apply for a resident visa as the one we came in with has expired. Do we need to go for another medical examination?
If yes, where?

Thank you.

Regards
you don’t need medical since you’ve been in Canada for over a year. Since your visa is exited before you applied for renewal you’ll also need to apply for restoration of status. Then apply for renewal .

Hi ednut1, I will be 3 months in Canada this month and I already have my extract from FRSC (since last year). If I am to get the G-license, does it matter how long the extract was issued?

I would really appreciate any guidance on how I can get the G-licence, please.

I am in the Ontario province (Markham).

NOTE: I am yet to start driving in Canada.
Submit your extract as fast as you can it expires after 4 months or less. Besides it’s not compulsory to do the test after submitting your extract . They’ll just add your driving history so you’ll be eligible for G test. Else you’ll wait one year before you can even do g2

Hello. Does anyone know about anyone that lived along the border and worked in the US? (For instance, living in Windsor ON and working in Detroit, MI) I need to make some inquiries relating to tax and maintenance of PR status.

Thank you!
Tax depends on your employer, does the company operate in Canada or just the US? Canada and US have tax treaty to avoid double taxation.

Secondly do you have to physically be in Detroit during work hours?
In other to maintain your PR status you must live in Canada for about 2 years in 5 years.

So even if you have to work in Michigan it would not affect your pr status because you still spend more time in Canada. Work hours are usually 8-10 hours daily

Strangers?? He’s not a stranger. He’s an adult, he should be straightforward in his intentions. Acting like a nice guy and secretly hoping to bang is not red pill energy .

Please tell me. I need to see this from a different perspective. Pls. I regret it and I wouldn't like this to happen another time.

Perhaps my mindset. Pls tell me.
You did not define the relationship . You know cuddling leads to sex. She knows this. Everyone know this. She’s not your girlfriend or your friend with benefits. Buying her gift and feeding her is not consent to her body .
You must Have the conversation from the onset.

It was unfair to treat a human being like that.
