I have a question for the gurus in the house my mum wants to follow me as I am leaving this August on a visiting visa which I saw takes about a year to process I initially put in my application that Noone will be following me but now she wants to, will this affect me in anyway and should I use my ircc account to apply for her own or I should just create a new account and submit a letter explaining myself? Thank you and please I am waiting for your response Since you don collect your visit visa, a decision has already been made. Better travel alone now. If you submit additional documents with information, your application would be reviewed afresh. Back to 50/50 chance. Remember your mum was part of the home ties you used.. So it's going to look like you're not going To come back. |

mobbwc: *Hello House*
I will like to ask two questions:
1. Is there any issue or potential issue with me helping my sister submit her study visa application another country (US). Is there any red flag or issues that may arise from the fact that the application was submitted from the US while the applicant is in Nigeria and I chose Nigeria as the applicant's location/country of origin. Just need to be sure that the application wont be flagged for not being submitted from Nigeria while stating that the applicant is in Nigeria.
2. Her LOA states that the estimated cost of living in the state her school is is $15k per year, is there any repercussion if we follow the CA website and prove the standard/generally required $10k per year for living expenses part of POF?
*Thank you* No Red flag. After all,, when it comes to biometric and medicals, It will be done physically. So it will then proves that the person is truly in Nigeria. But there's a section that asks if the applicant is using an agent or third party to submit the application, you should answer yes. |

Congratulations to your sis. You mentioned she applied for a graduate certificate program.
Please I have 2 questions.
1) Did your sister pay her deposit using form A? If so what bank did she use to send the money to school?
2) What bank do you advise i use to submit the form A?
A few people have complained that Form A through first bank for Graduate Certificate programs will be declined.
Please i need your help 🙏🏾 I used Accessbank for tuition payment to a college for post graduate certificate. So its guaranteed |
Travel › Re: My Experience With Loneliness After Canada Migration by Guest911: 2:22pm On Feb 17, 2023 |
Confusedgirlie: Before I left Canada for Nigeria in 2020, I had heard severally that it was very lonely there for Nigerian immigrants. I didn't quite understand what people meant exactly when they said this. However, over time I now have a very good understanding of this particular challenge with migration. Here are some of the things I've learnt on the way. But first, a little background about me.
I'm an introvert and I like my introversion. It gives me a lot of time to think and to be in my own space which I enjoy a lot. I read, write and love to watch documentaries. Those are the three most important things to me in life. When I lived in Nigeria, I lived a mostly secluded life that didn't have a lot of people in it. Regardless, it wasn't boring to me. I went out when I wanted to and took my time for my own activities.
Since being in Canada, my observations have been that it is a lot lonelier here. The reasons are very obvious: there are not a lot of people around me from a culture I'm familiar with (Nigeria), so it's definitely a lot more difficult to interact with others. That's one key point. Another is that I don't really have to go out to purchase things (even groceries), compared to when I was in Nigeria. I can simply order everything I need while sitting in the comfort of my home. Hence, the temptation is to go this way. In addition, I don't have family around, so I'm mostly by myself. And finally, the few friends I have are often busy, so there's hardly time to get together.
That's about it. I think these are some of the challenges Nigerian immigrants face. But the real question is, do I feel lonely?
The honest answer to that is a No. I find that my life is exactly the same way I lived it in Nigeria, only a lot more convenient and comfortable. I can't trade this for anything. In addition, as an introvert who likes to be by herself anyways, it's just a lot more enjoyable.
Nevertheless, there are steps I'm planning to take to change a few things. I am now taking more opportunities to actually go out and buy things even if I don't have to, e.g groceries, clothes, etc. Secondly, I say hello first to strangers and neighbours and get to ask them a few questions. This I wouldn't have done on the first place. Finally, I downloaded a social media application called clubhouse and have been making new friends in my area using this. As a cautious person, I'm taking baby steps here and not jumping straight into friendships I may not like.
Overall, what do I think of being in Canada as an introvert? I enjoy it. My life and choices are a lot better and I find that I have the time to do much more than I was doing back in Nigeria, not hampered by lack of power or resources.
My advice to others is to gauge their expectations carefully as they come to Canada with or without family. It can be lonely here, but that's not because Canada itself is lonely. It's just because you need to dig deep and find yourself in a new country where family is absent and culture is unfamiliar. Make money, no dey loose focus. Btw are you in Toronto? |
Family › Re: As A Married Man, Do You Sometimes Dream Of Leaving Your Family & Disappearing? by Guest911: 3:35pm On Feb 14, 2023 |
Zonefree: The story legit, trust me.
She didn't file for missing person cos she never loved him. The reason the man disembarked from that hell of a marriage.
The truth is 97.689% of men married to Nigerian girls are going through alot. Some are living in self denial while the courageous ones are searching for ways to quit.
I pray for the souls of all married men in Nigeria, may God in his infinite mercy console and comfort you people. Amen. Oga just say you didn't have the balls to face your wife with your decision instead of hiding behind statistics. She gave you children, did she neglect her motherly duties? How has she not been a wife to you? When did running away ever solve any issues? Now you come back from your little childish vacation to take back children you abandoned. I hope those kids don't grow up to be the weak man their father is. |

JustMellow: Hello Guest911,
Present your organization as a sole proprietor enterprise stationed permanently in your country. This would help you demonstrate stronger home ties through its domestic operations.
To show the financial solvency and lucrativeness of the enterprise, the business activities can be described as blended operations. The world has gone digital and it is your job to help the officer to understand the gains of placing your organization in the inter-continental market to be able to connect and network without transborder barriers with your foreign business partners and/or clients. Attribute the foreign currency earnings to businesses executed with your foreign clients and/or partners in your country.
Include the business registration certificate, memorandum of association, article of association, Payoneer statement, bank reference letter, dollar statement, business ID, business receipt, govt-issued revenue certificates (if any), complimentary card, etc.
If you decide to be silent about the freelance, you can substitute the payslips with a service payment invoice or service purchase order collaborating the sums as reflected in the financial record(s).
You don't need to pay yourself. Since you are very sure that the domiciliary account is sufficient, you pass as self-employed. On a side note, you can as well claim to be a freelancer as a second income source, which you enjoy as an economic passion. This way, you get to present your payslips, or as applicable, without misrepresenting facts.
If you don't know how to go about drafting a compelling SOP/LOE, reach out via my Nairaland signature. It is not pro bono.
Success is all I wish You! JustMellow, I want to thank you so much, this your advice is why I'm holding my passport with Canada visa like this. From the bottom of my heart I really appreciate the time it took to assist. I followed your advice as a first time applicant the rest is history. I don book flight to Toronto like this. 🙌🙌 |

segzyndpep: From what i can understand from your advice. Its base on proof of funds. We have enough to show as POF. Do you mean her being a co-founder to my company isnt enough to proof home ties couple with family pictures. The family wealth is not just proof of funds it's also proof of economic home ties. In terms of home ties, why would you or your wife return to Nigeria? Since you're both on temp visas in the UK. You need to show proof that your Nigeria company has a lot going for it and its something you're coming back to continue. You will need to describe how your wife is supporting the business remotely and how getting her degree in Canada will further help execute her responsibilities. But you mentioned that she's been working for over a year, is it full time? And is this on a post graduate work permit? |

segzyndpep: Please advise on how to best proof home ties in my situation. I have a registered business in Nigeria and am now in the UK with my wife on a postgraduate visa. She is trying to get a student visa to Canada. I've already added her as a proprietor to the company I own in Nigeria, even though I don't get salary from the business and she doesn't get paid. However, I have multiple projects and an online presence to demonstrate the company's existence. She is currently working in the United Kingdom for more than a year now. You and your wife don't seem like you both have strong economic ties to Nigeria, if your paychecks don't come from your Nigerian company. So you need to fix that, show proof of economic ties to Nigeria. Is it a reasonable expense to pursue another degree in Canada? You need to show how it helps your Nigerian company. Is there family wealth in Nigeria, it helps to show that you both have something to fall back to. Like property or investments cowrywise or other investment trust funds in Nigeria. Show evidence of cash that are immediately available for personal upkeep while in canada not just asset values. |
