He never said take 5 kobo and vote for REPUBLICANS. Nigerian politicians will tell you "give me your PVC for 10k" Take 10,000 to vote for APC. And they will even tell you to swear with Bible That's rubbish and vote buying.
After that you suffer for another 4 years. Keep trying to justify this. It is vote buying whether you agree or not. He's just not being explicit about it |

Evaress: At times i begin to doubt the existence of God. When is life so biased? Why are some rich, some poor? Some ugly, some beautiful? Some work so hard and gain nothing. Some don't even work at all and gain everything. Some do suffer all through their lives, no one to love them Why? Why? If our God is a partial God then why is life so cruel to some and so nice to others. It's up to you to make life how you want it to be and to see life how you want to see. I will challenge you that no one is poor. No one is ugly. Everyone gains something when they work hard. Someone may not have to work as hard because their parents did the work or they put effort in thinking before doing work. |
Celebrities › Re: If E Pain You Go Slap Your Poor Papa - Davido by GuestInfinity: 12:35pm On Sep 04 |
MrEar: A LION does not concern himself with the opinions of a sheep. If he does that, then he is not A LION.
Despite his horrible vocals, Davido has conquered the music industry in a way no other artist can, whether from a rich home or not.
He has won awards, sold out concert tickets, collaborated with famous artists that talented musicians can only dream of.
He is known globally and internationally. Davido himself, from head to toe, is a brand.
Time magazine included him as one of the most influential persons. At this point, he does not need to prove himself or his success to anyone.
Despite all of his achievements, numerous times, he gets triggered, loses his cool, displays an inferiority complex and feels the need to explain or publicize his success, all because of the "opinions of poor men pikin"
Like most celebrities, dead or alive, Davido is another crystal clear proof that indeed money (including fame) can NEVER buy true happiness.
For you to be happy, you need peace of mind, and whether you believe it or not, ONLY GOD can give you that.
 He's very insecure |

StoryHaven: May be you need to Google what WAR means. In wars , women, children, men, pregnant women, adolescent and domestic animals and even wild animals die.
That is the reason War is not good and humans must try not to engage in it.
Just imagine if Hamas did not attack Israel on October 8. Gaza would have been in peace, Israel would have been in peace. But since the ideology of a certain set of people is war and destruction because of the book they read, the world has remained in chaos.
So, enough of the song, Women, children and pregnant women. War doesn't do selection of who to destroy. Go on. Keep justifying Israel's actions. If it was Hamas that did the same thing, you'll be shouting terrorists. Smh |

StoryHaven: You dont build bunkers under schools, hospitals, and mosques, then come out to bomb Israel and run back and you expect Israel to keep quiet doing nothing. Tell your brothers that wars are not fought like that. Those who fight wars like that are COWARDS.
IF YOU START A WAR, STAND UP LIKE A MAN AND FIGHT WITHOUT USING WOMEN AND CHILDREN AS SHIELDS.
Did I complain about the remaining 25% that were Hamas? 75% of the 70,000+ people killed in Gaza were women and children including pregnant women, which contradicts your previous claim |

DoWhatThouWilt: You can give a woman respect, you can protect her and wisely care for her but NEVER show or tell her you love her.
Showing a woman love will make her disrespect you. She will NEVER submit herself to you.
I know it sounds odd to you readers but that is the TRUTH about women.
That girl you are having a crush on, is head over hills for a guy that doesn't show her love.
The men in bible times knew this, so they developed a hard-heart and encouraged divorce. They did not tolerate nonsense from women.
When jesus told his disciples that Moses permitted divorce, but God is against it, the disciples said, "if that is the case, then it is better not to marry"
The disciples could not imagine a world without divorce. To them, if divorce is bad then it is better to remain single.
Apostle Paul had to beg the men in those times to love their wives.
The reason the men were hard-hearted is not because they were wicked, it is because they knew that the moment you show love to a woman, your value and respect in her eyes will drop faster than the speed of light. Nawa. These nairaland women philosophers and toxic women are 5 and 6. You guys don't know anything other than toxic women. Which woman in her right mind will disrespect a man for loving and respecting her? Smh. You all need to start finding women who are not toxic honestly. Those kinds of women only entertain men who are not toxic so if you have your own issues that you haven't worked on, you may struggle to find and keep them. Maybe that's why you all think that all women are toxic. Smh |

Only narcissistic women manipulate weak men with low self esteem and without masculinity with control.
They love bomb you with fake care, attention and loyalty till you lose your guard and guts that made you a man.
Never shift your boundaries for anyone, when they cross never hesitate to show them the exit door.
I dislike pretence with passion, be real from the beginning with who are.

Health › Re: How I Almost Died Today. After Eating Don't Go And Lie Down by GuestInfinity: 10:18pm On Aug 27 |
Host78: Sometimes you hear of people who slept and never woke up and today, i almost experienced the same thing and honestly, if i had not woken up the time i did, i am pretty sure it would have been a sad story.
so this morning i was very hungry. I didn't eat much yesterday night or during the day, so the hunger was very intense. you know those morning hunger that comes with torture na.
i then decided to cook something. my initial intention was to buy noodles (hungry man) and cook but when i got to the store, i saw macaroni and i just thought to myself, it has been long i ate macaroni o. so i bought it and came home to prepare it instead.
i cooked this with beans and everything. Honestly i made it better than i expected considering the lack of fish. and the money was like my last card.
but it was delicious anyways. so i ate a good portion from the food. i was filled but had to fetch a second servings for myself because i really enjoyed it.
that was the mistake i made. that second serving. my stomach began to pain me not so much to call it stomach ache. but just enough for me to be in distress.
so i said let me lie down. i placed my phone on a phone stand and lay belle flat on the floor with my face down on the pillow. Combined with the overfed belle, omo naso sleep carry me o. here only for me to wake up suddenly like 10 minutes later struggling to breathe.
I was shocked and confused at the same time and scared. very scared because my chest was burning, it's like the acid in my stomach all moved to my chest and lungs.
you know that pain that comes with something getting into your airway when you eating? that's exactly the kind of pains i was in. i could literally fill the food moving from my stomach back to my throat and almost in my mouth.
Till this evening i can still fill the taste in my mouth, my chest is still burning and i am still scared of going to eat the food even though i am currently very hungry.
sometimes, i just wonder, what if i hadn't woken up by the time i did? because the moment i woke up, i stood up and had to maintain that standing position for a while even though i was feeling dizzy and irritated. this helped to push the food down.
it took me a while to understand that i was regurgitating probably because i slept on a filled stomach. much like squeezing an air filled balloon, but in this case, the content of my stomach was been pushed out by the force of my weight on it against the ground.
honestly, the experience could have gone really bad because the food could have rushed into my lungs and caused severe respiratory distress with people coming it to find food acid rushing out of my mouth and nostrils So this is why they say not to put babies flat on their belly after eating. Never imagined adults would experience the same. Glad you're ok |

spiceadole: Till tomorrow, my parents still don't see anything wrong with how they treated me and my siblings. Instead, they insist they were right simply because we are their children hence, they can never be wrong and now playing the victim card because we have all ignored them. I laugh. Let them bask in the euphoria of their rights . I don't need anything from them. When I needed the warmth, protection, affection and reassurance that comes with having parents, they were cold, distant, contemptuous and wicked. I used to envy my friends who could gist with their parents, take pictures with them, celebrate their birthdays and share their little wins with them. Imagine not having my parents at my matriculation into the university, my induction into the medical profession or my convocation, while my mates had their parents around them, putting up small canopies and celebrating their children. My younger brother managed to attend my induction because he was close by then. During Christmas and New Year holidays, while other students would leave the lodge and travel home to their parents, I would remain in school because I dreaded going home. I remember as a 12 year old ,attending an event in church where it was time to take pictures. My siblings and I thought it would be an opportunity to finally take a picture with Dad. This man literally kicked my youngest brother and shouted at all of us.We ran away..In the church!!
I don't wish any child the kind of traumatic childhood I had.
God forbid bad thing. Can't imagine what all that was like. Don't mind those people who are insulting you and dismissing you. I won't be surprised if they treat their own children like how your parents treated you It's very possible that your parents had a similar traumatic experience with their own parents and chose to treat you and your siblings the same way. I'm glad that you are breaking the cycle and choosing to treat your children differently I will never understand why some Nigerians normalize physical abuse and verbal abuse toward children but criticize any man or woman who does that to their adult partners. Children are so much more vulnerable |

Nigerian Education Curriculum has made it compulsory for Citizenship and Heritage Studies (civic education)to be taught in our schools.
Responsible parenthood definitely does not support a father being abusive and extremely malicious neither does it approve of a mother being excessively judgmental and making you not have a say.
Those were weighty words you used to describe your experience and it's seems quite close to worst case scenario which some people experienced like abandonement and neglect.

kfasian: What a man sow... That he will surely reap. From your story, your parents gave you one of the best strict upbringing. And look at what you are writing against them proudly. I hope when you start reaping what you are sowing and your children start behaving that way to you... You will not complain. Pick up that phone and call that wonderful old man and appreciate him for being there for you and making you who you are today. Do same to that beautiful woman of God that brought you up in a God fearing manner. Call her and tell her that you love her and make a plan on how their grandchildren will meet with them and spend some time with them if possible. Do that now that you have that opportunity as you may not still have it for long. One of the best strict upbringing? Seriously? Would you tolerate a woman who verbally abuses you? No right? Now how is it best for a child to be verbally abused? Does that make any sense? Please stop normalizing and glorifying verbal abuse of children. It has a lifelong negative impact on them. Stop it please |

charlizonto: This isn't a good way to foster your children's relationship with their grandparents even though yours didn't work out with them as a teen. Growing up comes with maturity. These are the people who literally brought you to this world and you are stuck with them for life whether they are good or bad. It's never late for you to change the narrative even if not for you, at least for the sake of your children.
After all these years and you still bear grudges against your parents in your adulthood, then you need to seek spiritual help my brother. I don't blame her. If they treated her that way, would they not treat her own kids the same? Parents like hers usually don't see anything wrong with what they did. She would need to have a heart to heart conversation with them first to make sure they will treat her kids well |
