TherWasACountry: But seriously, did Chief Awolowo actually drink any poison or is this some kind of taunt. Ayam not undastanding The same characters who started the rumors are the same folks who believe that army medical outreach was sent to infect their children with monkeypox. Nothing exist in a void, if you trade your mind away something else will occupy the space, like ignorance. |

BankeSmalls: No, you wan finish the family ni
It was only awolowo who drank a healthy dose of rat poison Your father being Awo's brother will be next while yours will be a time in the future. The technology and the efficacy of the rat poison would have been improved by then. Your date with ratak must be kept. |

BankeSmalls: Are you saying that the late sage drank rat poison just to have his head on a currency note? Exactly, since he was your uncle you must keep the family tradition alive. Poison, you must drink as well. |
Politics › Re: Awolowo Was And Still A Great Man by Guestlander: 1:13pm On Oct 15, 2017 |
BankeSmalls: I agree he was a great man. But why did he have to drink more than 4 bottles of rat poison just to escape arrest and jail. He is my big uncle but I remember him as the grand patron of all cowards. Lame. You should try a few bottles yourself perhaps your own image will grace a Nigerian currency in future. |

We know instinctively we are being robbed, we are not getting what we deserve while some people are getting stupendously wealthy without much effort. For this reason I'm prepared to pronounce him guilty as well, though he has done more than any other leader in Nigerian history to tame corruption. Jonathan did not even bother. Babangida? Corruption, what is that? And you want to crucify Obasanjo? A beg. If EFFC was used to hound some people "selectively" as you implied are these people guilty of anything or did Obasanjo send EFFC after people because they refused to buy his chicken and eggs? |

No, what is wrong with you? There was Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha and some 16 years between when Obasanjo left and when he came back. Can you name one significant achievement of Nigeria within these sixteen years? And yet you want to crucify Obasanjo who got rid of the big debt burden the previous administrations could not grapple with. What of telephone and Internet technology? How we forget so soon when telephone was only for rich Nigerians, you couldn't even call within Nigerian cities without a lot of hassles. Indeed in a land of blind people the one eyed man is still the king. |

by the way dummy..obasanjo was part of the mess..ding ding!! former military head of state..does it ring a bell now mumu...adios moronic slowpoke You want to pass off this drivel as constructive argument? Given what Obasanjo inherited from the military, a 36 billion dollars foreign debt and derelict institutions everywhere, any objective assessment of his presidency will agree he was the best so far. No one is saying Obasanjo is perfect, far from it but compared with others he is way ahead of in every aspect. The time when telephone was a luxury to most Nigerians is not that long ago. And Obasanjo was also supposed to be the Nigerian answer to Mark Zuckerberg? Well done. |

pezest: As shared on Facebook
A pack of the supposed vaccine which the Nigerian army is presently administering to school pupils in Anambra state was covertly taken away from them yesterday.
According to the report, a quick test was run to ascertain the true content of the vaccine and what they found was shocking.
The so-called vaccine is a scientifically synthesized chemical, made of lead, Methylmercury, Arsenic, Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), Toluene, Fluoride and Manganese.
While these chemicals are not known to cause instant death, they have the properties that can permanently alter a child's IQ, depleting it by as high as 60% or even destroying it completely.
Lead – This is one of the most extensively researched compounds in terms of neurodevelopment, and has been consistently linked to serious deficits, including low IQ. Its effects seem to be permanent, leading to the conclusion that there is no safe level of exposure.
Methylmercury – Affecting the neurological development of the fetus, exposure often comes from maternal intake of fish containing high levels of mercury, according to the World Health Organization and the EPA.
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) – This family of chemicals has routinely been associated with reduced cognitive function in infancy and childhood. It is often present in foods, particularly fish, and can be passed along in breast milk.
Arsenic – When absorbed through drinking water, this chemical has been linked to reduced cognitive function in school children. Follow-up studies from the Morinaga milk poisoning incident have linked it to neurological disease in adulthood.
Toluene – Used as a solvent, maternal exposure has been linked to brain development problems and attention deficit in the child, according to the EPA and OSHA .
Manganese – In the drinking water in Bangladesh, for example, this chemical has been linked to lower scores in math, diminished intellectual function, and ADHD.
Fluoride – Higher levels of this chemical has been connected with a 7-point decrease in IQ in children.
If Anambra people continue taking these chemicals, they will never come close to first position in national school exams again. They will begin to score below Adamawa and Katsina in common entrance and waec exams.
Do you still wonder why the Nigerian army is so furtive about the whole exercise?
Do you wonder why they will never carry the state government or local authorities along? |

ipoblogic: Which false alarm are you talking about?
The terrorists you call Nigerian Army actually came with their so called Medical Outreach.
It was necessarily to stop them from touching our kids. The real terrorists are the people who made these kids believe their lives was in danger. There are pictures of even older kids running away from their schools. The medical outreach personnel were just sitting in one location, they were not chasing kids around forcibly injecting them. I don't understand what the whole hullabaloo was all about. |

to regurgitate some spurious tales by a phd. Phd ko, Pmd ni!!
Btw, at the time of Awo's release, who was paying ojukwu's salary and the staff of the prison where awo was incarcerated? Was it the central bank of nigeria or the central bank of biafra?
Moreover, the offence that Awo was jailed for was against the federal republic of nigeria and not the eastern region and as such if ojukwu had truly released awo, he would have subsequently, been rearrested the moment he set foot in lagos. This was even before the war broke out. How Ojukwu could have released someone jailed for a federal offense is beyond me. Moreover, Ojukwu was alive for many years after Awo published his memoirs not once did anyone contradict his account. |

Ojukwu knew this he also knew that men like Ifeajuna, nzeogwu, banjo and others were intellectuals like himself and probably more daring and rugged than him.
