EzeUche: What hatred or violence has any Igbo ever committed against the Yoruba or Hausa?
The Igbos are peace loving and only care about business.
Who attacked you in Ife? Was it Igbo?
Was it Igbo herdsmen committing all types of atrocities?
But we are still hated. Now leave us alone. The hateful rhetorics in Rwanda did not translate into immediate violence when it started. It didn't translate into immediate violence in former Yugoslavia. All that was needed was a spark when the whole country had been sufficiently doused with gasoline. Kanu was clearly reading from the same script. |

freshest4live: Are you saying he didn't call for the murder of yorubas and Fulani's who ask about Radio Biafra, that tweet is widespread on nairaland. The fact is before he went to prison, he wasn't really particular about referendum. He said he's an historian and has never seen where a people got their freedom via peaceful means. This is a popular quote from your Messiah.... "If they refuse to give us Biafra, Somalia would be paradise compared to the zoo". God bless you, he never mentioned referendum. He said he wasn't aware of anyone who got his freedom by peaceful means. |

Dannidom: I dnt quite agree with you he neva planned or executed any hatred induced action towards any Nigerian person He was on radio biafra spewing hatred against Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani. He went as far as going to the U.S to solicit for money to buy arms, now we all know he wasn't going back to Umuhahia to become a hunter. |

Dannidom: Maybe thats what you only want to hear. Then you could go on and prove to him why he shoulnt hate the oppressors of his people, the corrupt politicians that has brought the nation to a standstill If Kanu had directed his hate at the politicians, starting with his own biafran politicians, perhaps Nigerians would have listened to him. If he had spoken out against the Nigerian system itself, perhaps Nigerians would have cared. He didn't do any of these, he started with hate and he made it clear that he wanted to commit genocide against Nigerians. |

You have been asked to counter NK on the reason we have to continue holding unto Nigeria which is only favouring our elites leaving out the masses Kanu doesn't have any message except hate, there is nothing to counter other than to ignore him completely. |

EzeUche: No one is taking Kanu seriously? That is funny.
His name is coming out of everyone's mouth.
Northern youth seem to be taking him seriously.
All these phantom groups that are coming out against him seem to be taking him seriously.
The Lagos press and their daily stories seem to be taking him seriously They are more interested in his theatrics and outrageous pronouncements than any compelling idea or reasons he is putting forward in support of Biafra. Just check out the news: "Rainbow appears in the sky as Kanu speak" "Kanu prays at some funny shrine" "Kanu raises the dead to the amazement of his worshipers " and many other funny captions. This is not how to inspire people to nationhood in my opinion. |
Politics › Re: Can Anyone Counter Nnamdi Kanu's Narrative? by Guestlander: 2:57pm On Jul 01, 2017 |
EzeUche: You cannot use that argument with me.
I have been on Nairaland for a long time, and I have been posting about Biafra prior to Radio Biafra.
Biafra has never left Igboland and has come in many forms. Have you forgot about MASSOB?
You people have such short term memory.
You don't realize Buhari made the problem worse. We all know Biafra is just an instrument of blackmail against Nigeria whenever Igbo are in need of something in Nigeria. Perhaps that is why nobody is taking Kanu seriously. Kanu is not putting forward any strong arguments or ideas on why Biafra must secede from Nigeria. He is only pandering to the basic instincts of the Igbo people without any clear indication of where he wants to take them. What constitute Biafra is not even clear to Kanu himself not to mention his blind followers. |

EzeUche: Is Nigeria not a failed state?
I have not seen anyone who can counter Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB's narrative about Nigeria.
All I hear is people calling Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB names, and people threatening fire and brimstone to his supporters.
Nigeria is still a failed state that cannot protect its citizens and can't provide the most basic of needs. The hypocrisy of Kanu and his followers stinks to high heavens. Just two years ago under Jonathan Kanu was recorded advocating for a peaceful Nigeria, what happened between then and now is still being unraveled. Now, this is not to suggest that Nigeria doesn't have any problems but what country doesn't? Not only that, the bulk of the people now supporting Kanu were the same people who were shouting Jonathan forever, they obviously didn't experience any injustice under him. And finally, any campaign that starts with hate rather than ideas is bound to end very badly. |

Politics › Re: Igbo Soldiers Plotted Coup From Independence Day -david Ejoor by Guestlander: 5:27pm On Jun 27, 2017 |
pazienza: By the way, the 1966 coup was an Awolowo( Yoruba) masterminded coup and here is why:
1. Fajuyi, a Yoruba, was a mentor to the likes of Nzeogwu and not only supported their coup, but also made inputs on how they should go about it. This was why he was marked for death by the counter coup northern junta. To conceal this and sell their Igbo coup propaganda, the Yoruba print media launched the falsehood of Fajuyi begging for IronsI life being the reason for his death, but we know better.
2. Up until 1967, Awolowo was the only Nigerian who had once plotted to usurp a seating government, ala civilian coup, he had antecedents. He would also attempt a second civilian coup later against IBB which culminated to his death.
3. The coup plotters listed Awolowo as the man they had in mind to install as the president should the coup have been successful.
4. The coup plotters carefully eliminated Awolowo main rival, Akintola, who had already emasculated Awolowo and rendered him powerless in Yorubaland, alongside his accomplices in Saraduna and Balewa. This was needed to create a vacancy that Awolowo could fill right after the coup.
It's as simple as it is, without the coup plotters striking and eliminating Akintola, Balewa and Saraduna, Awo would have rot in prison and if he managed to come out, would have seen Akintola completely consolidate on his powers in Yorubaland with active help of Balewa and Saraduna. The rate Akintola was spreading his wings in SW, with active connivance of Balewa and Saraduna, Awo knew that he had to get out of prison as fast as possible or slip into political oblivion forever. The Biggest winner from the coup was Awolowo, co incidence? I don't think so. Trust me, you have a very bright future in Nollywood as a fiction writer. |

There were probably less than 5 major newspapers in Nigeria at that point in time. Perhaps Chief Unongo did not know how to read newspapers or he didn't care. Anyway, even I cannot spoonfeed the Chief, let him find the articles provided by Chief Awolowo and disprove them as inaccurate. What we know according to Chief Awolowo is that Azikiwe was promoting tribalism as far back as 1939, let him disprove that. |
