Uduak is not denying anything.

Two ladies are exposing their really dirty linen in public. The contenders are @6ftHobbit and @Uduakisabae. What makes the whole scandal even more salacious is the fact that @Uduakisabae is a very popular Twitter celeb and social critic known for her no nonsense attitude.

From the story so far, Hobbit called out Uduak for stealing her mifi (portable WIFI modem) worth 15K when she hosted Uduak and her friend named Kimberly, with handle @KimberlyOfili. When she asked Uduak to return the mifi, the babe refused so Hobbit came online to call her out.

And guess what? Hobbit complained Uduak had noisy gay sex with Kimberly under her Virgin Mary statue, and now she (Hobbit) is in trouble with her dad because their sex woke him up. Smh.

Funny enough Uduak does not deny the theft, cocaine addiction and lesbianism accusation, and is rather laughing up a storm online. Another user even posted an alleged picture of Uduak snorting 60k worth of cocaine.

I was quietly minding my own business online when I came upon a thought provoking post.

Now, it might seem like a rather innocent post of a young man enjoying the perks of a private jet, but what makes this particular post interesting is that the poster is Senator Bukola Saraki's Special Assistant and President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Imo Ugochinyere Micheal.

So I decided to stop minding my business and start snooping around.

Some members of his inner circle claim the young dude has been kidnapped and the bragging Facebook post is meant to frame him and and possibly his boss Saraki, while he remains in captivity. They claim the dude, who just won a court case has been missing for the past two days.

There was also talk bandied someone highly influential may be the owner of the Private Jet.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians have begun calling on EFCC to probe Mr Michael and his associates because he needs to explain how come he has a private jet at his beck and call. Who is the owner of this jet? Who is responsible for financing his lavish trips? Who is this 'finest associate' he referred to? These and many more questions are on the lips of Nigerians on social media.

Sabina Green ( not real name), daughter of the late Jessica Oluchi Elvis, former President of National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes, NANP has graduated from secondary school.

The 16-year-old girl who passed out from a popular private school in Ikotun area of Lagos, last Friday was crowned the overall best in Mathematics and Chemistry.

Following the death of her mother last year, life has never remained the same for the young girl who now occupies her mother’s bungalow in Lagos with her aunt – Clara. Elvis died October 25 in Edo State after suffering from heart-related disease.

In a brief chat with journalists during her graduation ceremony, the 16-year-old shared with a Daily Post reporter what she missed most about her late mum.

She recalled with nostalgia how her mum died in a Benin hospital due to doctor’s lackadaisical attitude.

She said,

“I must confess, the death of my mum shook me down to my bone. I thought my world had ended but thank God for his mercy and grace. I am still here and today, I am graduating from secondary as the overall best in Mathematics and Chemistry.”

On what led to the death of her mum, the teenager said,

“Doctor claimed it was heart disease but I suspect they are responsible for her death. When we came to the hospital, it took them almost 5 hours to admit my mum. After that, they said the doctor went to Auchi and didn’t return till evening. When he eventually came, he referred us to another hospital the following day, where she eventually died. I was with her in a hospital in Benin City when she passed on.

Before she died, she asked me to go get her recharge card downstairs that she wanted to call grand mum but before I came back, she’d gone. I nearly cried myself to death because I never expected her to die that time.

Dr Olukoya:

I asked God for a woman who would want to work and fit into what God wanted me to do and the Lord brought her image. I wasn’t sleeping o. It wasn’t a dream, and God said “this is the woman”. Again, I prayed three times and got the same answer “ this is the woman”. That was my first testimony.

My father, who was a pastor also prayed. He had never seen her, but when he visited Lagos and saw her for the first time, he said “… this is the woman I saw too”.
It’s not a question of I feel led, or I think so, I heard and I saw before I took a step.

When I first met my husband, I was a chorister. I was very inexperienced and all I knew was to serve my God. I was brought up that way. He was then a music director who came to our church to improve the performance of the choir . We used to call him brother Daniel. There was really nothing on my mind than we had a nice brother who was coming to teach us in the choir. He was down to earth and straightforward. Anytime he came we enjoyed his teaching. We always wanted him around because we learned a lot from him; more than the songs he taught us.

That day, he called me and we were in a small room where we normally had our fellowship. He used to do his counseling there too. I was thinking within me when I heard he wanted to see me and I wondered oh my God, have I done anything wrong? What has the man of God got to say to me today?

I was on dry fasting as well trying to see a man of God. In preparation for that visit, I was praying and wondered oh God, what is this meeting all about?
Just as he writes his books, he’s a man of not too many words but action, backed up by the power of God. I’m not praising anyone, but I’m saying the truth from the bottom of my heart.

That day, he talked to me and he said, “God is laying it in my heart that you are my wife. Simple”. It was like I was in another planet trying to come back. Before I said anything, he just said to me, “you have enough time, you go and pray”.

When he visited, it was like an inquiry about what went on after the appointment. The result of my prayer and things like that. When I got to Ife, it was like God prepared that place for me to have a personal encounter on the issue. To me, it was a matter of life and death, because of our Christian background . We prayed over everything, committed everything into Gods hands. We didn’t do anything without hearing from God. For the first time in my life, we did marathon fasting. I fasted for 3 days just to ensure that I was getting it right.

Just to get a yes or no. While I was praying, I had the idea of having a very pleasant marriage and a man I can call my brother, my friend. True love comes from the heart . I prayed to the Lord that I didn’t want deceit, I didn’t want to make a mistake. I wanted a happy marriage and God confirmed his word. God confirmed it by showing a revelation to me. As an artist , I was able to do a sketch for my own future reference.
God showed him to me. I was actually presented to him. That was when I knew God had a hand in it. I was not really matured enough to say I heard God’s voice . God gave me that revelation and gave me witnesses as well to back it up. I prayed to God and I was happy. I had peace within me and I could see the future becoming bright.

I was confident that I was doing the right thing. I told him what the result of my prayers was and he asked when was my next birthday. I told him and he said to me, you share the same birthday with me. The relationship was not based on maybe because we shared the same birthday. We actually knew about that at that point in time. It made the relationship even more special to me and from there we started.

We attended prayer meetings together. At first, we were meeting on Tuesdays . Then he gave me topics to talk about .He was a very good moderator, and he gave me just10 minutes to speak on a particular topic. We discussed and we prayed together. We enjoyed every bit of our courtship.

We did not indulge in pre-marital sex. The courtship lasted about a year and a few months. Like I told you, before I got born again in 1974 the Lord had been helping me. I never got into trouble like other people did.. So, the question of temptation did not come in a way that most people talk about temptation now. When we meet, we are meeting on purpose to study the word, discuss and go.

After reading the story of Ada Priscilla Nzimiro, a young woman with a very bright star who was tragically cut down, I can't help but marvel at 'village people'.

Ada Priscilla Nzimiro was born in Port Harcourt, Old Eastern region on 30 April 1923, the same year general elections were held for the first time in Nigeria, to wealthy parents. She was the first child of mother but had step-siblings.

Ada was a very intelligent girl and excelled in academics that's why when she expressed her desire to study medicine and become a doctor, her parents supported her fully.

In 1945, Nzimiro enrolled at the University of Glasgow in Scotland where she studied and trained as a doctor.

She graduated MB ChB in 1950 and thus became the first woman from Igboland to qualify as a medical doctor.

She returned to Nigeria that same, but barely a year after she graduated, on 22 March 1951, as she was fully entering into her role as the first practicing female doctor in the entire region, she suddenly died without warning at the age 27. It came as a huge shock to the entire region, as well as her family and well wishers.

Later reports revealed she died of unnatural causes. She was buried a month after in Oguta, Imo state on 27 April 1951.

After Nzimiro's death, the William Wilberforce Academy (WWA), which was the first of two secondary schools her parents established at Oguta in 1945, was renamed to Priscilla Memorial Grammar School. This was done in order to honour her memory and record her achievement in the field of medicine.

However, the fact remains that she died prematurely and 'unnaturally' a year after graduating and returning to Nigeria to practice.

Who do we attribute this tragedy to? 'Village people' at work or a quirk of cruel fate?

The religious police in Kano State have been cracking down on Muslims who fail to fast during the holy month of Ramadan. As DW’s Nasir Zango reports, the suspects could be caned in public if found guilty.

The Kano State religious police, also known as Hisbah, have arrested scores of people for failure to fast and ensuring compliance with the rules of Ramadan, the third pillar of Islam.

Ramadan is a special month of the year for the over one billion Muslims throughout the world. It is determined by the lunar cycle and will run until July 5 this year. For Muslims it is a time for inner reflection, devotion to God and self-control. During fasting, strict restrictions are followed. Muslims are not allowed to eat or drink during daylight hours. Smoking and sexual relations are also forbidden. At the end of the day, the fast is broken with prayer and a meal called the "Iftar."

Since Ramadan began on June 6, Kano police have deployed its men to strategic places in the state to ensure compliance with the rules of Ramadan. Those who are found to be violating the rules have been arrested and held for interrogation.

Deputy Commandant of Kano's Hisbahm, Nabahani Usman, said that those arrested would be prosecuted and be sentenced according to the law. "We hold them at Hisbah for at least two days to teach them the importance of fasting," Usman said. He added that every adult Muslim must observe the holy month.

Fasting is obligatory for all healthy Muslims - a test of patience and endurance

"We deem it fit and necessary to ensure that every Muslim in Kano State observe Ramadan. We have a report of people who are not complying with this important pillar of Islam; hence we mobilize our men to arrest them," Usman emphasized.

The "men" referred to are Muslim scholar operatives whose work is to enhance Islamic teachings based on the Quran. They also have powers to arrest and detain notorious "non-compliant" followers.

Arrests condemned

Besides the arrests and detentions, the convicts are subject to beatings after they have been handed a sentence by the religious courts. However, punishments given out by the Hisbah police have been strongly criticized by human rights activists. They accuse the police of overstepping mandate.

Muslims who fail to refrain from eating during daylight can be held for up to three days

Activist and law professor at University of Bayero in Kano, Barrister Audu Bulama Bukarti, said the Nigerian constitution does not allow any religion to punish anybody for not fasting.

"Section 36 of the constitution of Nigeria is very clear that nobody should be arrested or punished except for an offence which is defined by a written law of Nigeria," Bukarti said. "I am not aware of any law that makes fasting compulsory in Nigeria whether on Muslims or on any other person in the country." However he called on Muslims to abide by Sharia Law unless they have "acceptable excuses."

DW's correspondent Nasir Zango in Kano State has seen several people at the headquarters of the Hisbah in the Sharada area who are being held for non-observance of Ramadan. One of them told Zango that he failed to fast due to chronic ulcers.

"I cannot fast while also taking both modern and herbal medicine to cure it," he said.

It is not the first time the Hisbah religious police have cracked down on people for not observing the rules of Ramadan in the region. In 2012, more than 20 people were arrested by Hisbah for deliberately refusing to fast and they were held in detention for three days.

IHS Holding Limited, one of the largest mobile telecommunications infrastructure providers in Africa, some days back completely acquired Helios Towers Nigeria Limited (HTN) and by extension, their 1,211 diversified tower sites situated across Nigeria. Helios Towers and IHS established the mobile telecommunications infrastructure industry in Nigeria in the early 2000s

According to an article, "IHS has used transactions like this one to create significant local technical and engineering employment opportunities throughout Africa. Over 95% of IHS employees are African and IHS employs close to 40,000 people directly and indirectly through its exclusive subcontractors."

Unfortunately, this is not the case , as IHS has allegedly fired all the staff of Helios Towers with immediate effect.

Recall that Minister of Labour and Employment Senator Chris Ngige had ordered banks and telecommunication companies to suspend mass sack of workers or risk their license being withdrawn.
