Am a big fan of horror movies, and to me, i feel it's the most intriguing Genre of movie. The blood-shedding and the violence just seem cool and never boring. So what's u guys opinion? What Genre of movie do u enjoy best?

OP,you're not alone,,the thrills I get is just unbeatable..
Even as a little kid back then,I loved the scare,always saw it as a challenge .

Btw I'm also a big fan of the "Comedy Genre",everyone needs a good laugh once in a while .

KOTD wanted the battle to go down regardless of preparation. it's win-win for them. they won't have to refund their fans & their rapper would get a win over a top tier URL battler. it might happen again next year maybe on a bigger stage.

they were just discussing how clips didn't take the match serious and got 3-0'd by charron.

NY fans said if it's not on URL, the battle doesn't count. so nuccas just go to the other leagues & take their cheques with half-hearted performance.

we usually celebrate the estate's end of the year party on the Longest street in the Estate so as to accumulate everyone... there's no stage... just on the street..
Adults usually leave around that 8/9... youths and children stay up till around 1-2am throwing knockouts, eating,drinking, chatting bla bla bla
.. rappers always spit during this period...friendly battles..freestyles...dance battles..etc... there's usually a d.j and microphones....

don't ever go into an impromptu rap battle without having at least 3 solid lines..either previously composed or composed on the spot... last time I did, I effed up plus I wasn't in the mood again..

ohh boy"! my first freestyle rap battle- I can remember vividly.. it was in SS1 in school canteen .. I can still remember the line I killed the dude I battled..
actually blackberry was rampant then..and in my school canteen-most popular food guys ate-was Bread and Beans..and we all called it BB..
so when I said--the only way you can Ping...is if you buy BB...bread and beans!.lol ..that won it for me..

Yeah men you got it-- focusing on rhymes is not a good idea at alllll - but rather flow(when on a beat) and metas a d punches/...
If you study jay z's rap with Big L..he made over 16 or 17 metas and rhymed less(honest freestyle)..but Big l packed rhymes from A-Z(even multies all through(pre-written freestyle) --

Cool... I like rappers that freestyle....

Learn and master the art real quick .and chicks will start tripping for you bro and you will start ripping wackos in school and parties

LOL,what really helps me breeze through,is what's already stuck in my head, I just marginalize that and give the view of a freestyle..

Speaking of parties,I recall an incident,we went out to get some fresh air,and we saw a dude who was doing some freestyle rap(not know if I should call it that),my friend happens to know him,my friend introduced us and told him I did battle rap,and he was like let's duck it out(I was seriously not in the mood) I just agreed,in order not to fall my hands in front of the babes there ,he went 1st got some reaction,I did mine and was just pumped up by the reactions ,until I made a statement about ra.ping his mum and having her murdered(can't recall the line),*everywhere was silent* not knowing the dude was a whinnig biitch,(his mum died 2 days earlier) ,the dude didn't take it likely, mehn fight nearly burst ,,since that day I've been wary o,,when I remember the incident I just laugh,Charron high school incident comes to mind

so you can freestyle rap something like this--

yo am fresh and fly..you should stop bitching/ i will hit a 'spoon' on your head..if that's what you seeking/ and I cook rhymes with Pots...and eat it like chicken/ am not an MC..am a Gas cooker...I bring heat to your kitchen/

no multies all through..I composed the way I would have rapped it if I was free styling... --that line isn't great in text brawls but in a freestyle its decent....

he he he I have watched that sshit before...and many freestyle vids on YouTube..the important thing is have a filler..think ahead... have metaphors ready..be able to come with metaphors on the spot, that's why freestylers are advised to Notice their environment..every little thing can be a punch .. I don't rely on rhymes when free styling, I realise when I do that, I get stacked..so instead of thinking of what rhymes with this, I rely more on metaphors and punchlines..

If you just try thinking/focusing on the rhymes or particular rhyme scheme to leave your bar connected while freestyling(to arrive at your punch which you already know) ,you just end up lost,, when I encounter such I just make up words just to keep the rhyme flow in check (doesn't work all the time tho,,),

.if am stuck I will just say-- Am the Alaafin of Oyo for example..- the next thing I will do is try to connect it- I can connect it with -OBA/oyomesi etc ..and while am infusing the REGISTERS of -ALAAFIN OF OYO , a RHYME would come naturally.and that's a Punchline-then I ll' let my thoughts flow..-thats my technique.. plus to freestyle on BEAT is better than Acapella...cos on beat you ll' flow better

I put my Tips on Elymax learning thread- me and my friends in school here play it as a GAME --a spiritual game--. while one person is rapping, another person is pointing at stuffs and you must make a Punchline about it--if you stutter or Choke or laugh too much, then you are out and you will join the game again in the next set...

there was a freestyle battle charron did with a dude called Soweto on KOTD..they were bringing out things from a nylon bag and they were to rap with it while dissing each other..Charron killed the dude..he was making a Punchline after every one or two lines --Damn!! go watch that battle
