2n2k:
Foreign rice is not a prohibited item in Nigeria. You can validly import it through the ports. What then will be the basis for seizure by the customs?

Regarding checking for custom papers of vehicles on inland roads, this is not new and not peculiar to the east. They do check on western states roads too. Infact, they are permanent at Ijebu-jesha (Osun state), Akure near FUTA (ondo state) and after Ifaki (Ekiti state) but surprisingly you won't see custom check point on the 600km stretch of Lokoja - Abuja - Kaduna - Kano road
Customs dont operate in the North, they allow smuggling from Niger and Chad, just like Elrufai said that Fulanis come to Southern Kaduna to kill and maim from various African countries freely and he had to go and pay them to stop instead of asking those countries to extradite them to Nigeria to face trial
Politics › Re: "Customs Subjecting Igbo Travellers To Hardship" – Peter Obi by Guyman02: 9:41am On Dec 21, 2016
In the North here we dont see Customs checkpoints seizing anything because the average Hausa man will dagger you if you dare attempt to confiscate his foodstuff or impound his car.
The several Police checkpoints in the South East is because the Igbo is always in a hurry to get to his destination while a northerner will patiently follow the Police or Custom to their station or refuse to move and dare them to do their worse. Tahts why every Custom or Police wants to be posted to the South

Chai! Everything is projected on Niger Delta OYEL huh

What has happened to all the talk about economic diversification by the State Govs and FG over the years?
No wonder they keep supporting Operation Crocodile Smile, Python Dance, Rabbit Clap, Cockroach Laugh, Mosquito Bite in the Niger Delta and South East where the Oyel is domiciled and many Nairalanders who are state and local govt workers will be shouting on this forum kill them IPOB, scatter the militants, burn the agitators because their salaries comes from that area embarassed

Its a big deal here but not in western world.
Pro'lly she came back from abroad so it means nothing to her. Dats y she neva cared to zip up her bag
Why do you lie in public, this shows you have never traveled to the western world before, parents can accuse you of morally debasing their kids in a public eatery by displaying such things in the open and call the cops.

Elites arranging marriages for their children with children of the high and mighty while children of Kpakos fight on their behalf on Social Media.
Last year when Buhari could not even afford money for APC form, this arrangee marriages were not there, today every big mans son in the North is scampering for his daughters hands even the one that was divorced for some years with 4 kids had a society wedding.

Congrats to the couple.

Many parents are using this incident to show their children what it means to be patriotic in Nigeria. embarassed
It is better for you to get appointments into government using your parents or godfathers contacts or win an election and loot billions and be hounded by EFFC which you can use the corrupt courts to manipulate while enjoying your loot and receiving accolades in churches and mosques and at events as chief donor than be abandoned with a broken limb playing football and winning laurels for Nigeria and be treated with disdain like these girls.
If you are not an international player based on personal efforts like Iwobi, Mikel, Iheanacho, Musa in the premiership or super leagues that can afford to tell NFF to go to hell and are playing just to increase their national caps then it is not worth it thinking that the country will remember you in times of need.
Politics › Re: Buhari, Mahama, Liberian President, Sirleaf Arrive Gambia To See Yahya Jammeh by Guyman02: 2:37pm On Dec 13, 2016
Why are they in Gambia? Jammeh said he is going to court to contest the elections like Buhari did against PDP 3 times, thats democracy in action. Even in America Hillary Clinton and Jill Stein called for a recount of the votes in some states, why is the Gambia different that the UN had to send 3 Presidents to Gambia.
Why didnt the UN send Russian President to go to Hillary and ask her not to seek for a recount? Africa arise!

Politics › Re: Buhari’s Homegrown School Feeding Programme Kicks Off In Anambra by Guyman02: 8:17pm On Dec 09, 2016
What Anambra needs is N43b spent on Federal Roads to enable them to rehabilitate more which help the parents of these kids out of poverty as they can easily transport their produce to the market, not feeding children with initial N53m which will soon be abandoned like Mallam El'Rufai just did in Kaduna

What the pastor has done is very good but I'm always of the opinion that if one truly wants to be blessed by such actions,he should do stuffs like this in secrecy and not as an act of fame or as publicity stunt and sadly, many of the big men of God fall victim of this small mistake
I am tired of people who have done very little to help humanity telling us that every good should be done is secrecy. Lubbish!

Almost every baker in Nigeria now adds Cassava to Wheat flour to maximize profit, but some supermarkets still sell purely Cassava bread.
