I was working in a project where we had a camp and most evenings the armed Policemen who excorted the expatriates always come to the club house to relax with us with their rifle in tow until the elderly ones among us complained to management, that alcohol and guns dont mix, the were then given serious warning to desist and this story makes me realise what the insistence of those elders meant.

I've never seen a people so timid against the truth as nigerians! The watered down press calls them 'herdsmen' really? herdsmen with enough ammunition to take out communities and security personnel?? these guys are boko haram footsoldiers through and through! geez one does not need the brains of an Einstein to figure this out.
Yeloba media calls them herdsmen
Crime › Re: DPO, Scores Killed In Adamawa By Fulani Gunmen by Guyman02: 10:19am On Jan 25, 2016
I dont want you hear these terrorists called 'Fulani herdsmen' anymore, if you can call those in the Niger Delta militants and Boko haram terrorists why not call these killers Fulani Terrorists or Fulani Militants? Media take note!

obailala:
From what I thought I read initially, the plan was to upgrade the institute at Oron to university standard and the excuse given was lack of 'funds' to establish a brand new uni in Delta state.

What I do not understand however is how or why some have termed this a northern agenda. Some have even claimed they want to move the uni to the north and Amaechi (who should be defending the Niger Delta interests) is a party to this decision. The last time I checked, Oron is also in the Niger Delta and as we speak, the people of Oron must be celebrating this news. The best would have been to upgrade the Oron institute and also continue with the one in Delta, but what I can't understand is how this purely Niger Delta issue has been sensationalised to be northern agenda.
I think you are still a learner in Nigeria, I dont know how old you are. But politics is different from morality; why do you have a refinery in Kaduna without oil if not for political consideration.
I said earlier that upgrading Oron to a university is just to change the signpost. There are several colleges of education and polytechnics around that were upgraded without a single structure added and without increased budgetary allocation.
Why do we have all the defense industries and institutions located in Kaduna State and not shared out so that people in Abia State can have a feel?
Why is PMB budgeting $2.5b for rehabilitation of the North East destroyed by their own people who joined Boko Haram and nothing was given to South East after the civil war, rather what they had was collected and 20 pounds given to those with millions in the banks.

We are talking about the effect of the jobs that will be lost because of this action and why militancy will not be curbed if development activities are moved under any guise.
GEJ built the biggest flyover in Kano and PMB attempted to cancel the second Niger Bridge with unfounded excuses which raised a lot of uproar.
Shine your eye.

I thought the plan is to relocate it to Oron where there are already some structures?... is Oron in the north?.... Do we even have a river in the north were a maritime institute can be established close to?
Nigeria Shippers Council was located and built in Abuja until Obasanjo came and moved it to Lagos and gave the massive structure to Nigerian Navy and then to Ministry of Defense.
You have refineries built in Kaduna with none in Bayelsa oil producing state. Upgrading Oron does not mean that the fund and structures meant to be used in that Maritime University will be built in Oron. Just change the signpost at Oron and thats all.

Nna abeg cool your temper small, I know how you feel about the way every good thing meant for the Niger Delta is cancelled. The project will now be relocated to the North under a different name leaving behind environmental pollution from oil exploration..

Amaechi wants the project to be relocated to the NORTH. This is how the people of South South have been shortchanged by their own sons for years leaving behind poverty. Imagine how many jobs will be lost with the cancellation of this project by Amaechi and his APC goons.
Sad development for the Niger Delta.

Good gesture by Mr President but why would Under 17 players collect N1.2m and their coach Amuneke get less at 900k abi na because him be Omo Nna and also our senior National Basketball team who won the Afro Championship got 600k (Too much preference for footballers)

The coaches deserve more to encourage them to groom talents from scratch.

I honestly don't know why some Yoruba folks can't let these people be.

It seems a lot of folks are oblivious to the fact that Nigeria is bankrupt and it's only a matter of time before it implodes. So if certain folks want to leave the cesspit, either by hook or by crook - why can't you let them be? Or are Yorubas so messed up these days that they don't believe that they can survive without Igbos cos it is starting to look like that?

You have a people who have been stuck in the 60s cos of Nigeria, yet they are the biggest proponent of the shiithole. If that isn't a classic case of Stockholm Syndrome, I don't know what it is. Or what have Yorubas achieved collectively since the 60s cos pictures of all Yoruba states, apart from Lagos aren't nothing to be proud of. Then almost all the states are heavily indebted and it is only going to get worse due to how bankrupt Nigeria is right now.

Anyway, there are tons of Yorubas out there who wouldn't mind donating in whatever capacity to the Biafran cause, if Igbos can develop a proper strategy that won't alienate those in the South and maintain territorial integrity. Igbos need to start reaching out cos apart from the cows and cow jockeys feasting on free grass in Nigeria - the country is a disaster.
The quoted is a Yoruba man with a different opinion.

That was when a few soldiers mostly of the then Eastern Region massacred prominent political and economic leaders of Northern Nigeria and Western Nigeria only.

There was a Yoruba man among the key 5 not 'few' soldiers called Major Adewale Ademoyega.
The leader of the coup Major Nzeogwus mother was a Hausa woman, he grew up as a Hausa man and his name was Kaduna, he never grew up in Igboland or as an Igboman, He only ran to his people in the east when there was trouble and he was welcomed and they stood by him as their own.
A generation of the most brilliant youths from Asaba his home state were massacred in cold blood as a revenge by the Nigerian Army during the civil war when they responded to a call for a 'peace meeting' at a square and the people still mourn their loss till today.
Nigeria needs true healing and not this tribal sentiments by our so called leaders and encouraged by the youths on social media.

How much does Tompolo have in comparison to Danjuma, Babangida, Atiku and all the oil magnates and owners of OML?
Does Tompolo or any Niger Deltan profit from fuel subsidy importation?
The only time a Niger Deltan makes money from the Federal Government from the oil in his backyard, dense dunce Dauran has the ultimate ambition to kill him.
Of course we know it is because he refused to join the APC. Other "community leaders" who did, despite billions made as well walk free... as they should. If Otedola is a billionaire from oil, they have a right to be too.

HIS CRIMEhuh He sold land for a university expensively. How is that a crime? You have the government official who bought it at that price. Why not jail him?
Buhari always wanted to KILL in revenge for what he believes GEJ did to his Boko Haram and North. Now is his opportunity.
Leadership? We have elected a butcher. So many pathways to peace for Shiites. He murdered a thousand. So many pathways to peace and progress in the Niger Delta. He has chosen the path of war and bloodshed.

The only people he wants to NEGOTIATE with and who he searches for CREDIBLE LEADER is for Boko Haram. The CREDIBLE LEADER of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and the CREDIBLE LEADER of NIGER DELTA, Tompolo, deserve to be killed or be in jail. The CREDIBLE LEADER of BOKO HARAM however is to be found and bargained with.
God dey."
The Rusted Roof area people (Ibadan kparakpo Media) will not agree with you. They hate anything Igbo and South South, to them Otedola and Tinubu should keep their billions stolen from Oil subsidy while Tompolo should be killed or jailed for selling his land at expensive price to FG.

Unfortunately, it took him time to come to terms that his loved girl is relieving some other guy of the konji that his wife could not handle.

But please everyone should allow Iceprince to get over this disappointment. Its hard for a young man to go through this kind of situation of betrayal by a girl you have given your heart and trying to build a future around.

Enough of the social media campaign, I hope he will not take because of this action and become a Baby Daddy like some of his fellow celebsjust because his friends will now be telling him not to trust any woman again.

There are still plenty good girls out there Mr ICePrince; just shine your eye, if she comes begging dont easily accept because once a girl has done something like this, the tendency to do it again is always high.

All this attack just to spite Tompolo?
Its good that Nigerians are aware of these schemes by APC and their supporters in Bayelsa State even before they start taking place.
APC have shown that they are bad losers with all all the violence they unleashed on the citizens of Bayelsa during the election.
Now attacking pipelines in Tompolos village and Itsekiri areas is to create disharmony between the Ijaw and Itsekiri communities and take Niger Delta back to the dark days which will be another avenue for those who missed out in the Dasuki arms deal to get their own contracts to supply the military equipment to unleash terror on Niger Delta
