londongal03:u missed it, it is the deputy governor that is acting the role of governor |
The only person after buhari with more followers in the north is kwankwaso. Atiku can only boost of money but even his money couldn't save him when kwankwaso came second behind buhari. So the best bet is to have kwankwaso and any other person from the east even that would not be feasible because the northern populace would always support whoever buhari annointed |
Let me get my glasses because I am not seeing any work from the pix ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Save us this bullshit. Is it buharis fault dat lamido's lawyer couldn't cut a good deal wit the judge or are you trying to say that lamido just becos he performs better than nyako dat makes him to be innocent. And lastly, buhari was neither the judge nor was during his tenure that lamido fraud case was instituted. Blame lamido's woos on Jonathan and please stop this wailing |

Indications have emerged that the ailing former Taraba State Governor, Dambaba Suntai, has been abandoned by the state government as well as his friends and associates. Suntai, who is currently suffering from stroke, and is expected to travel overseas for his regular medical checks, has been told by the new Taraba State governor, Dairus Ishaku, that the state can no longer foot his medical bills. But he has found succour in the Adamawa State governor, Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow, who has decided to pick his medical bills. It would be recalled that Suntai , who was involved in a plane crash while in office, was brought back to the country from his American hospital due to the power struggle in the state. Suntai is expected to travel outside the country this week on Bindow’s bills as tongues continue to wag over the fate of the former governor who has now been abandoned by those who rode on his back to get political offices in the state. www.ireporteronline.com/p1900_adamawa-governor-bindow-picks-suntais-bills-as-taraba-abandons-ailing-ex-gov |
The Dangote Group on Thursday said it had concluded arrangements to develop 16,000 hectares of land for commercial farming in Kafin-Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The representative of the company, Femi Afolabi, said this during a community sensitisation exercise in Kafin-Hausa. Afolabi said the company would develop 15,000 hectares for rice cultivation, while 1,000 hectares had been earmarked for construction of a modern rice mill. He said another 10,000 hectares of land would also be developed for seed out-grower farm, adding that the measure was to encourage production of quality seed. According to him, the company will spend about $250 million on the project, which will generate about 50,000 jobs among rural dwellers. Breaking down the figures, Afolabi explained that $150 million was earmarked for rice cultivation in Kafin-Hausa, while $100 million was for industrial sugarcane production in Kaugama. He said the company had made adequate arrangements to ensure full payment of compensation to farmers whose farmlands were taken over for the project. Afolabi said the project was expected to take off in the next three months as part of the company’s drive to boost rice production in the country. Also speaking, the council’s Chairman, Alhaji Bako Tamballe, commended Dangote Group for establishing the farm in the area. Tamballe called on communities to cooperate with the workers to facilitate successful execution of the project. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Dangote Group had designated rice cultivation centres at Kafin-Hausa, Kwatalo, Dumadumin-Toka, Dudumin-Kyaure and Ruba districts, all in Kafin-Hausa. The company also plans to set up additional rice and industrial sugarcane plantations at Auyo, Kaugama and Malammadori Local Government Areas. theeagleonline.com.ng/dangote-acquires-16000-hectares-for-commercial-farming-in-jigawa |
