Someone made a very interesting case about PMB's appointments of CG's of Immigration and that of Prisons today. He concluded that if you added Customs and NSCDC, all of them will be from the north and as such it will seem PMB was violating Federal Character. He posted names of 4 Controller Generals, all from the North and asked people to "defend this".

1. Ahmed CG Prisons (Kebbi, NW);
2. Babandede CG Immigration (Jigawa, NW);
3. Ali CG Customs (Bauchi, NE);
4. Gana CG NSCDC (Niger, NC)


a. From a quick glance, leadership in the above does seem lopsided in favor of north.
b. Some may also add positions of NSA & DG SSS and claim they are northerners too.
c. But a further analysis of PMB's earlier appointments could in fact pick a few 'federal character' mishaps in the his entire economic team...
Precisely the following powerful positions...

1. Finance Minister
2. Budget & Planning
3. CBN
4. Power, Works & Housing
5. Transport
6. Minister of Petroleum/GMD NNPC
...above are all held by Southerners and i heard many Northerners complain also.


It does seem the President has dedicated majority of our security apparatus to Northerners. But if we consider his appointments into 6 of the most powerful economic portfolios, the President has committed similar trust in the hands of our southern brethren.
So security with North, Economy with South.

you fail to realise that there are three key ministers in Nigeria of which the North leads two.minister of Defence(North),Minister of petroleum(North) minister of finance(South).And we have two key agencies of which is controled by northerns.Dss and Efcc.What a shame and wicked heart.
