Nah bro I am not angry, if you have followed my post on this your topic you will notice my mention of being happy that you found your "light". But then in the course of our back and forth I mentioned christianity both historically and today being arrogant. And I qoute you here " you are in bondage yourselves without knowing it". Why do you think a mere mortal like you has such right to tell me I am in bondage? What bondage? Bondaged by who? If you don’t see the arrogance in that then it is quite unfortunate. You choose to follow Jesus and I say no wahala. I am personally not that intrigued with his time on earth because he did not leave a comprehensive guide to followers. Paul did much of the work. And that is just me. I do not believe or feel tied by anything. Quit the fear mongering abeg. I am not an atheist for your information. This life is not binary number, you must not be zero or one. In my opinion. =TheSixthSense post=48566643] You guys always seem so angry. Can I ask why? I used to be like that you know, but God has changed all of that. He gives a new heart and spirit. The seed is sown already. You may not be aware now. Glory be to God. But never forget that only Jesus can save.[/quote] |
TheSixthSense:This is the arrogance I was referring to. |
You are a very intelligent and thoughtful person I can see. And thanks for acknowledging towards the end of your post that others can benefit from the "christian goodies" without knowing Christ. TheSixthSense: |
@anochuko01. Hi, much thanks for pointing out what you think is exclusive to christians. The Holy Spirit you said. And you went ahead to list the fruits that come with being in the spirit to include being free of sin. love, joy, peace, patience etc. But I throw the question to you again differently, is it only christians that possess these virtues? Are you aware that one can be morally upright and be happy, peaceful, kind, gentle etc without knowing Jesus? I am not here to bash christianity, I have grown past that stage and abhor people who do. Nevertheless Christians and their Islamic cousins really need to start believing that there are different ways people choose to live their lives. The arrogance of feeling exclusive for benefits which are actually there for everyone who works hard for it is annoying. If a Jamaican rastafarian decides to smoke some herbs and chill by the lovely beaches in Jaimaica while sipping some coconut water, that feeling for him although not numerically measurable could actually feel better than when some folks here get into the Spirit amd speak in tongues. I am just saying different strokes for different folks. From what I understand Op was searching for something deep, and after some trial and error decided Christ is best for him and once again I say I am happy for him. Thank you |
I would like to let you know that this response is not aimed at discrediting your experience. However, it still does not answer a question I have been asking for a long time now? What is exclusive to christians? I am agnostic but was born into a liberal christian family. My doubts developed in my early teens even before external influences such as books or Internet. I can't deny that there were times during my late teens and early adulthood that I felt the emptiness. This made me consciously seek God but every time I sat in church I just could not comprehend what these guys were talking about or why they used very funny fatuous stories to explain passages. I gave up, it wasn't for me. ( Guess the devil really has a hold on me) Back to my question, what is exclusive to christians? Money, happiness, long life? I respect the christian institution and what it has done for Africa but can't understand why people freak out when I choose not to live my life according to the principles of someone whose life did not cover such important areas like marriage and owning a business to name a few ( Being very basic here). I honestly wish I was in the born again bubble sometimes, I have really tried but like I said earlier it did not work. Maybe God would find me one day like Paul. Until then I live my life happily as I can in this tough but promising country called Nigeria while not being an alcoholic, chain smoker or drug user. I refuse to believe I would be sent to burn in a special furnace for quenching my biological needs( thats the only "sin" I think I commit now). All the same I am happy for you OP |
Only if silly, stupid, jobless, shameless guys would stop commenting "nice boobs" "you are beautiful" " bla Bla bla" on these attention and validation seeking 21st century diva wannabes. Some guys just don't know their worth and keep orbiting this Instagram pages drooling like imbeciles. Mtschww M.O.B |

Sex, is it different from this one I have been having for some 15 years now? Is it really worth this much investment. Come to think of it, these runs girls might just be lousy in bed while that young Calabar girl with punk haircut can rock your world from heaven to hell and back to earth. I'm not cheap, just saying. #teamorganicsex |
I understand people have their opinions but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the image Darey is portraying here. He is an artiste and has chosen a theme for his upcoming work I believe. The caption says 'naked' with a message which describes the theme. The man is not even nude. I really can not understand the unnecessary slander, on what basis exactly? Religious, Moral, political? We Nigerians easily bash trivial matters but shy away from the most biting issues. "his children will be ashamed", " he will regret in fifteen years" bla bla bla. you are all mind readers aren't you. The man is doing well for himself, puts out quality music unlike the pandemonium saturating our airwaves. Hope all you bashers achieve half of what he has in your chosen careers. |
which kain joke be that |
Nigerian R&B sensation Darey Art Alade today shared his childhood photo on Instagram. According to him, he always had the dream of making music or being a pilot.Do you think he would have made a better pilot than singer? Hit like for singer and share for pilot. Fellow nairalanders pls share your childhood photos and your life dreams at that time. Sounds like fun..oya

I was there at the rally yesterday and knew trouble was imminent. For the conspiracy theorists it might interest you to know that this rally has been disrupted on two previous occasions. And if the name Evans Bipi rings any bell, well he was spotted leading his thugs and a few police men to disrupt the rally. Some good people of Okrika offered clothes to those wearing apc outfits to avoid them being beaten up. pointing fingers and sympathy is too little a profit for APC to gain by organising thugs to stop its own rally thereby putting the life of its candidate and other members at risk. R.I.P TO the police man who lost his life yesterday and quick recovery to those injured. And for a president who says his political ambition is not worth anyone's life , well a simple phone call would have stopped your thugs from the mayham they caused yesterday, oh I forgot, he wasn't aware as usual. |
I had always had doubts about God since my early teens. I was also fascinated with world history as an adolescent and so I realized that before Yahweh and Allah there were so many others. Now I do not see what goodies are exclusive to born again Christians or devout muslims, good health, wealth, happiness? I think there are happy Hindus and Buddhist as well. I remain a discreet agnostic till the day I see angels dropping outta the skies blowing trumpets. |
Dieazani Alison-Madueke( those eyes) and charlize theron, the most beautiful white woman if you ask me |
I can't imagine being a pastor and turning a blind eye to all those sisters, choristers and youngies, must be very very tough, I really dont blame them. |
Me I have been disillusioned with that fatous Hollywood idea of love. If it's romantic, I am attracted to different women and love them in different ways. I mean humans are so dynamic. |
