Drenimarcus: If someone ever told me that by 2020, i will be a PR in the US, i would say the person is a descendant of the devil. Yes, i had ambitions to leave Nigeria but how? where? with which resources when i was basically managing my mom's store, and the last kid in the Uni looking up to me.
I have always been an advocate of "not gonna have my own kids go through what i went through", they deserve a better life, my mom went through a lot of me and my little ones and she sure deserves to be pampered but how can you pamper your parents when Nigeria is all frustrating your efforts. You have the societal vices alla noose about to choke you and kill you. If you the Federal government doesnt introduce policies to cripple you, your state govt will, sars will, phcn will, mosquitoes will, your landlord will, your so called friends will, your family(extended or nuclear) will.
When people say Nigerians deserve automatic place in heaven, i for once say yes. Nigeria will be 60 years and no hope for the youths, how can you say people are the future and no policies to enable the so called "future". We got a similarity there. This country is getting worse everyday. Sometimes i wake up at night just to cry cos it got to a point where i became frustrated. My efforts to leave Nigeria was futile and to think that I'm not getting younger makes me even more sad but all is well sha. I have never being proud of being a Nigerian Nigeria is a country with the highest religiously gullible persons in the whole universe, a place where a hardcore illiterate self appointed pastor/Imam will enslave a PhD holder and milk him dry. A country where rich oppress the poor. A country where you are expected to do everything by yourself and we have government oo. A country where internet fraudsters/drug dealers/money rituals are celebrated. A country where God is expected to do the government's duties. God is expected to cure malaria, provide electricity for the masses, secure the masses, pave the roads and even protect a drunken driver overspending on the highway. Since jobs are sold to the highest bidder, getting a job after graduation becomes a supernatural miracle which must be celebrated with a church Thanksgivings service. Shame on this country |

The bus driver is a very rude Jamaican man with poor customer service, I’m going to report him to the company after the trip, that’s if we don’t fight before we get to NY I foresee vamulence before you get to NY |

I just read a news where a man attempt to enter his ex-girl's bedroom to rape her but as the Lord would have it, the ediot got stuck by his ex-girl's window. Source: Linda Ikeji's blog Not all men.

Well, different people have different interests. Norway is good, it has higher GDP per capital, less crime rate, higher wages, etc but it is not the best EU country to immigrate for an average Nigerian.
Comparing Germany with Norway is like comparing South Africa with Seychelles.
Seychelles ranks high in most positive indexes but you as an African will choose South Africa over Seychelles. Why?! Cos South Africa has lot of things to offer than Seychelles. |

nwadikeokey11: Norway of course, by far. The problem is that its almost impossible to enter Norway now with ur Nigerian passport. Norway is the best country in Europe and amongst the best 3 in the world to live in now. By far ke I will even choose Sweden over Norway anytime anyday Bandeco, what do you think sir? |

ZINIIBANKS: Hadam between Norway and Germany which country dey OK pass Well, both countries are very okay for future immigrants. They offer good standard of living with lot of benefits but if I'm given an opportunity to choose, I'd go for Germany because of the following reasons 1) Germany is the powerhouse of Europe and its economy is largely built on manufacturing while Norway is an oil based economy with little manufacturing sector. An economy based on oil and gas isn't reliable to me. In short, Germany offers better job opportunities 2) In terms of weather, you will agree with me that Germany is better unless if you are the type that love snow. 3) In Germany, you get 18 months to search for jobs and if you are able to see one, then you are on your way to becoming a permanent resident. As for Norway, you are given 1 year with stringent conditions. 4) Cost of living in Norway is outrageous. No doubt Norway is the second most costly country to live in the whole world after Switzerland. 5) Germany is more diverse than Norway. You will make friends easily and integrate faster in Germany Norway is one of the richest and most prosperous countries in the world. Very beautiful country with breathtaking landscape and nature. They have great economy with oil and sea food exploration being the major strength of the economy. But I'd choose Germany one million times over Norway |

4everEdward: Ok, I started this journey through going by coming to Rwanda , when I told my friends I am going to study in Rwanda some of them laughed at me. And said guy Watin you Dey go Africa country go do.
I smiled in fact I ended the conversation with a smile, today 6 months later I am in Germany.
Well I started by applying for South Korea and Chinese visa when I was in Nigeria but got denied due to the bad name we have caused in that country so I decided to use another good Africa country that is visa free as a stepping stone to my destination.
Germany is not my desired country but I am using it as my stepping stone ! I wish to be in Canada I love that country so much that’s my dream.
But I need to START SOME WHERE…
I came to Rwanda with a student visa studying and doing my normal hustling . Applying for another countries.
Rwanda is a nice country but a very expensive place if you don’t have resources or business that you are doing!!! When I mean expensive house rent is very expensive but every other human basic needs are fairs …
So if you are in this thread and you have been applying to leave Nigeria and getting so many denial my brother and my sister use others countries as stepping stone YES it will be hard. But
We already have the bad name except God grace and Favour….
I got my German visa in Rwanda . And they even thank me for applying because Rwanda is a nice country and their people no too Dey travel
I asked a Rwandese friends if you are given a visa to Canada will you go, he and she said they will only go on visit and come back to their home country because they love their country…
CONTINUE……. If Nigeria was a good place to live, we wouldn't have had it in mind to japa nah.. Look at the citizens of Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Rwanda, Mauritius and Cape Verde just to mention a few.. These citizens of the mentioned countries hardly migrate to a western country cos their country is good for living. I hope this country get it right one day. |

Odide009: White will never respect us with this kind of madness. Its only black you will see stealing with full confidence. Its so bad that, you will see some guys in Nigeria tattooing Yahooboy for life on their body. How can white respect us when 90% of what make life what living are made by them. We look up to them for solutions to the challenges facing facing us on our own soil. Like us helping us to produce Generator because electricity in most Africa countries is almost not available. This is not true. There are mysteries surrounding the poor nature of Africa. |
