Siena: Funny you say that. I think you need to visit American Auto Fora, and see where Americans are converting their auto's to manual. The reason being the driving experience. Take a look at these:with due respect to what you said and your opinion as a car car specicialist what I mean is that most people in most adventurous nations do drive auto cars obviously due to its comfort and luxury I have travelled wide. what I see is that most cars in most country's use auto but my observation in uk is different as most of them are using manual cars. of course I know that manual cars perform better that's why all formula 1 cars are manual, but am talking about luxury my brother. lest I forget I respect your opinion most on Nairaland cos i have been following you for a while on autos. cheers |
Denn: why do people believe Manual Transmissions are outdated.....manual cars are for sure outdated only being used by the conservative people like the british. for goodness sake the world is moving let's move with it. using a manual car is like using a polaroid camera in this digital camera age. |
divide and rule strategy at work. |
my brother you just got a car of our time, all the progressive nations are mostly using automatic which is better, it is only conservative people like the british and some few european that a still stuck with manual cars, in america 80% of cars are now automatic in the middle east 95% are auto. using a manual car is like using black and white tv these days. so just enjoy your ride. cheers |
but the truth is that the blood that flows in a kano man is same as those in maradi(Niger) . this people are relative divided by colonialist. kwankwaso is only being a good brothers keeper. |
honeyguy: so u mean with N10m one can set up a modest motel of 10k a room?it will go a long way if not complete mind you we are talking of bungalows and the cost of land is not included |

I have been in Abuja for the past 14 years and i know how the city is evolving, having appreciated the low and medium income earners am thinking of having a hotel that ranges from 5k to 8k maximum so that is why am thinking of locating it in the suburbs. |
one secret I go to know while I renovated my house in one gof the estates yin abuja was that i bought most of the finishing in dubai and i saved up to 50% example is my Electrician gave me a budget. of about 350k for fitting but I got. same things in dubai for 1900AED which is less than 100k. For my curtain I was given a budget of 250k but I got everything for 1800aed and is DIY I got osram energy saving bulb for 7.5aed each which is like 380 naira but in abuja it goes for 800 to 1000 naira what am planning is that if my dream of hotel set on foot I will only buy block, sand, rods, cement and few things in Nigeria for all other things like electronics, furniture, tiles, curtain ,toilets etc will be bought in china and i put them in container to arrive through lagos or cotonou with this I will save 50% or above |
is possible but low standard cos am presently building a 5 bedroom bungalow and have spent 4M and still have 2M to go. so it depends on taste you know. honeyguy: someone built 15 rooms bungalow hostel all rooms en suite with N4m, is this possible? |

fortyfeet: You're saying there can be one muharram for more than one female pilgrim.yes of course one person can be muharram for even 10 ladies |
sunky644: Can a true Muslim explain the sentence "traveling without individual muharram"?I have been to saudi and umra all on international airline not goverment arranged, the truth is that our government is at fault, there in the law govenning hajj that any female pilgrim must be accompanied with muharram( a person you cannot marry islamically) but nigerian gorvenment have been violating this and the saudi officials have been over looking it, but they decided to be strict this time. I can remember last year I went to hajj with my two sisters with emirates via dubai and at the point of entry they were asked to produce their muharram then I came forward and the checked my passport to confirm am the one cause my name and passport number is boldly written on their visa that i must accompany them, and we were let in without any problem. in that emirate flight which was airbus A380 had over 700 pilgrims of which only 15 of us were nigerians. the rest are from all over the world and every lady must produce muharram so this is not new. I can remember back in 1986 my mum, aunt and elder sister went to hajj and my dad was compelled to also pay for a male cousin to accompany them as muharram and mind you they followed the goverment hajj. is just that over the years our gorverment became complacent due to non strictness of the saudi authorities. the solution now. is diplomacy and from next year every pilgrim will abide by the laws gorvening hajj. |

ezeagu: Many that speak Hausa and listen to the radio don't understand English as well as the rest of African people.am not talking about the listeners but for the fact that these world super power have seen the spread and acceptability of hausa and swahili as lingua francas in Africa thus having a section in their media |
honeyguy: i do have the same idea but still trying to find out how much it will cost to build and set up...i will also be including a multipurpose hall and night club...i got the lands but i do not want to start it if am not ready to seat down to monitor itthats good may be we should be exchanging ideas on our ambition you know two positive heads are better than one. Are you also locating it in Abuja ? If i get more funds I may add the Idea of a hall but not a nite club out of personal principle. cheers |
Estate agent in Abuja am looking for a 100 by 100 land suitable for a small hotel (not a storey building )on the outskirt of Abuja expecially airport road at a minimum cost. cheers |
Dpros: its a good thing that you are already thinking towards real estate.. its a very profitable source of income and gives security for the money you invest into it. however, i must also let you know that the return on investment is slow, although the hotel business will make it a little bit faster for you. i was wondering if you have any other steady source of income that will enable you support the construction stage and setting up of the business, if not, it will be advisable you set up a business that can give you steady returns and enable you carry on with your project successfully without financial hitches. but all the same, you have a great idea. stick to it if you have the means to support it.thank you very much for the encouragement. I have actually set aside 10M for the construction apart from the cost of land which I will look for somewhere around lugbe. |
Hi all, am thinking of setting up a small 15 rooms hotel in abuja for small and medium income earners that visitAbuja, am thinking of locating it somewhere along airport road abuja on a land of about 100 by100, the hotel will not be a storey building as I need to minimize cost . I need some advice from nairalanders that have experience in hotels, building construction and real estate or any positive thinking person on this my ambition. I have decided never to work for anybody again as I have some few millions to invest. thank you |

if you really know monarchs in Nigeria then you know that the most respected and influencial is Alhaji Ado Bayero emir of Kano |
it is a fact that the people living in bakasi are nigerians while the land belongs to cameroun. the mistake Nigeria made is going to the court and judgement has been given, if Nigeria tries any war , the UN and the entire comity of nations will give the blame to Nigeria. have you ever wondered why UK did not go to court with argentina on falkland, it is because they know that the land belongs to argentina while the people who are mostly english are settlers. I think the best thing for nigeria is devise a way of rehablitating those nigerians in bakassi that are willing to come to Nigeria and move on. |
